"Morton's steakhouse gives an overall wonderful dining experience that can not be matched by any one any where. When you walk in everyone calls you by name and makes all your needs their priority. The wait staff is extremely friendly and all are extremely knowledgable about their menu and will answer any question you might have. The ambience is great for special occasions or a romantic dinner. It is extremely quiet and intimate even when the restaurant is crowded. The bar area is very classy with great bartenders and is a great spot for pre-dinner drinks. It is impossible to go to Morton's and not have the greatest dinning experience of your life."

"I took my family to Mortons for Mothers Day, we were seated on an isle so we had to arrange to put smaller people on the isle then you have other guess bumping into them while we were eating. It was very LOUD so a conversation was difficult to say the least. We also felt the prices were very high (I was expecting it, it is Mortons) but still very high.

"We try to go to Morton's about once a year. There were noticeable changes but not for the better. They got rid of the cart that has all the meats for show, they changed the receipt of the shrimp and spinach. Why?? We asked our waiter about the changes and he expressed that they were bought out by another company. It used to be our special spot for special occasions but now I don’t think we will be returning=("

"The food & drinks are way overpriced. My glass of wine was $11 and I can buy a whole bottle for $9. The food is good but nothing special about the steaks and the way they are seasoned. I have been to several other steak restaurants around the Chicagoland area and Morton's will not be one that I will visit again as I prefer all others over Morton's."

"Morton's has always been a favorite of mine. My wife and I just celebrated her birthday there and the dinner was amazing. I used Open Table to make reservations and immediatley when we walked in the hostess greeted us by saying Happy Birthday. The ribeyes and scallops are without question some of the best I have ever had, which I consider to be a strong compliment as we recently moved back to Illinois from Maryland. Our waitress Jennifer was attentive and simply overall delightful. My wife could not have been happier about her birthday experience and I have Morton's in Schaumburg to thank for that.e"

"The restaurant was lovely, recognizing a special event by providing us with an excellent seating location and free dessert for the birthday person. Order: two ribeyes (medium-rare), one tenderloin (medium-rare) and one salmon. Vegetables were mashed potato and broccoli. Dessert was carrot cake, chocolate cake, sorbet, and a souffle for the birthday person.
The ribeyes, rather than being marbled, had big fatty deposits. For the price they were disappointing. The tenderloin was excellent. The salmon was excellent (perhaps a bit small for the price). The vegetables were disappointing, dry potato and undercooked broccoli. The desserts were unbelievably good... and so large that they could be shared. Overall a good dinner, but not worth the"

"It was our first time ever here and when we arrived the hostess didn't seem very inviting... No welcoming greeting, no smile and asked for my last name 4 times. We has reservations but had to sit at the bar for 15 minutes. Almost decided to leave but the bar tender was super nice(wish I knew his name). The waiter (Paul) was very nice and attentive... They definitely made up for the bad first impression. Food was perfect and I would return again. Steaks are recommended."

"Nice place for a special occassion. We have the escargot, bibb salad, bone-in ribeye, cajun ribeye, jumbo grilled asparagus, and twice baked au gratin potatoes. "First of all, I went to the Chicago location 2 years ago for a friend's bachelor party and it was an excellent experience - this past visit was lackluster to say the least. The good points were there was no wait for a table and the salad was quite good. My wife and I both ordered a surf & turf special and although the steak was good, not excellent, the shrimp and lobster tail were cold by the time they got to the table. The service was okay, but the $17 glass of Pinot Noir and $14 chocolate lava cake are a joke. I have had better wine and cake from Trader Joe's. Definitely let down from this experience. I wouldn't go back - for about $125 per person, there are too many other steak places competing for my business."

"It was so noisy, we could not even hear our friends accross the table. The lady who seated us was rude, and that is actually a nice way of putting it. We were charged for food we did not even receive. It was awful!!!"

"We tried Morton's during restaurant week and were very impressed. We never felt that anything was srcimped on because it was restaurant week. We had a party of four and sampled different items and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back."

"We can't afford a $250 dinner every week so when we go Morton's it is usually an occasion and the experience needs to reflect the expectations of a $250 meal for 2. The meal quality was good however my steak was delivered well done plus. I had asked for medium plus. Not even close. No other resolution other than to replace which is disruptive but done without hesitation. The service overall could have been less rushed and more attentive as well. Not up to par with past experience at this location."

"Overall a nice experience. The one glaring exception which should be a total embarrassment for a high end restaurant that charges $4.95 for espresso was the pathetic drink that was served under that name. The first, which I sent back over my son's protests (he made the order--I know enough not to routinely order at a steak house!) was black oil with not a hint of crema; the waiter, bless his soul, had no clue what I meant when I used this term. I then suggested that surely they must have a fancy Italian machine to make it, but does anyone know how to use it? He said, "well, it is a machine..." Tried again and brought out more oil with the barest hint of crema that tasted completely sour, but I let it drop at that point. SHAME!"

"Underwhelemd at this Chicago icon other than the food. The first big snow in Chicagoland, they did not have valet and the parking lot was not plowed very well. We were sat at the first table when you enter the dining room on the edge. Similarly this happened before when I made a reservation at an upscale restaurant on Open Table. It took five minutes before anyone acknowledged us, brought water or menus. The wiater was very unattentive."

"Solid food, good service. Steaks were cooked as ordered, something of a lost art these days...lobster bisque was excellent. We were happy with everything except the table who felt it necessary to raise their converstations to the yelling stage, something not in the control of the restaurant."
