"The soft and crunchy onion bread was superb, and the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was the best I ever tasted. Porterhouse and New York strip were melt in your mouth great. The double baked au gratin potatoes were a tasty balance to the steaks. Chocolate cake was literally to die for. We will be back!"

"We were looking forward to celebrating an anniversary dinner at the Original Morton's--and the experience was a delight. All the staff were so warm and made us feel special all evening with special treats (photo, dessert). The preparation of the oysters was not what we were expecting, but was certainly delicious. The filet was cooked to perfection, and all the sides and bread were tasty. It was the most expensive restaurant meal we ever had, but no regrets!"

"Morton's always shines. Awesome food, excellent cocktails and top-notch service. My wife celebrated our anniversary and had a lot of choices for a special occasion. In the recent past we've opted for newer, trendier restaurants. This time we went with a Chicago Classic steakhouse and we were not disappointed. The food was perfectly executed, the souffle was the best, cocktails were done right and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Morton's still has it and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for some delicious cow. Nom-nom-nom-nom-yum!"

I looked and said Oh shoot I should have put her Dr. title on the reqquest. Low and behold 3 minutes later our Host comes out with a new menu for her stating Dr. Abbey's 30th birthday. Real class! "Morton's is a venerable Chicago steakhouse and for good reason. The steaks are magnificent and the other menu options are very good to excellent. Like most steak houses, portions are large with prices to match. Service is god and the wine list has many gems, though few bargains. Morton's has branched out to several cities now, and Chicago has many steakhouses, some of which equal or exceed Morton's, but this is a great choice."

"Our server was very rude, slow and not knowledgeable. We were hosting a couple of exchange students and one of them had a few questions on the different steaks. He was short and didn't explain well. The food was very good. It is too bad the server ruined it for us."

"The food was really good but the service wasnt that great. Once we were seated had to wait about 10 mins just for the wine list, then another 10 mins for the actual menu. Since the time we got there from the time we ordered i would say about 25 mins or so went by very aggrevating. It continued then when we were waiting for the check 10 mins until we got that, then another 10 mins until we gave it back to waiter. If you have no paitence i dont recommend this restaurant. I think im going to stick with the other great steak houses in chicago they all had great service."

"My fiance and I absolutely loved this place! We saw it on "100 best restaurants in Chicago," and it definitely lived up to expectations! Our steaks were aged and seared to perfection (and the truffle butter is delicious). The item that stole our heart,though, was the bacon and onion macaroni and cheese. It was so good, we both agreed that we would come back just for that. Our waiter was so helpful and attentive, as well as funny and knowledgeable. We were more than satisfied with our visit there, and we will definitely be coming back."

"Just okay. Not worth the price considering many other places around for prime steak. Service was biggest disappointment. Initial greeting by waitress was ~10 minutes after seating. No water until after that. Not bad, but probably won't go back."

"I've been going to the Original almost every year at this time for the last 30 years. I have never been so disappointed with the meal and mediocre service. The Porterhouse was undercooked and very stringy (nervy) It seemed we were being rushed even though the restaurant was not full. The noise level by 8:15 was almost intolerable. We finished at the bar which was much quieter."

"Bad experience ,order special 6 oz filet (fillet really a butterfly piece of leaf over fillet from other cuts)and fish(3 scallop wrapped wit bacon) the rest just look like a illusionist trick nickel and dime things half bake potato (pre baked long time ago) 3 asparagus one salad blue cheese (just dressing) if any body eat these pre dinner tricks probably will not notice the very cheap scamp main plate. $60.00
To top all these about 10;15 pm the cheap labor on back of the restaurant decide to start to clean up and must to have the back door open or the elevator or who knows what and the cold draft on my back till I leave I did inquire to our table waitress the answer was or maybe they are cleaning up.

"I've been to the Schaumburg location and I remember how romantic it was. There are too many tables for a romantic evening. Couples are seated too closely together. The steak and seafood combo was decent for this caliber restaurant. This hard to find location is thriving because its the original. The unseasoned steak was dry. The potato was huge but condiments should be left on the table to replenish. The crab cake was the highlight--very tasty. The key lime pie was too soft. No complaints with the wine. The service was excellent, however. I will return to the Schaumburg location."

"Morton's never disappoints. Sent my mom and dad for my mom's 60th birthday. She was treated like a queen by all the staff and even presented with a personalized happy birthday menu and dessert. I called in advance with special request for birthday and to pay by credit card so mom didn't have to worry about the bill. Would definitely recommend Morton's!!!"

"We went to Morton's for my husband's birthday and another couple. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be going back. My husband ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer... I'm not a shrimp fan, but he and our friends said it was the best shrimp they ever had. Our filets were delicious. Perfect experience."
