Set in a 1780 Pennsylvania Stone Farmhouse with deep windows and a warm pleasant atmosphere this is a family owned and operated restaurant that is recognized as one of the "Best of Lancaster" for dinner, Sunday Brunch, patio dining, wine list, atmosphere and romantic settings. Although our building is over 225 years old we update our menu daily! Change is a good thing at the Greenfield. We specialize in next day delivery of Hawaiian Finfish and seafood while we continue to cut our own steaks. You will enjoy selections from our wine list that has been recognized by the Wine Spectator Magazine for over 9 years. Our patio and balcony over looking the trendy bar is among our customers favorite requests for lunch and dinner seating, while the wine cellar has two of the most romantic tables in the area. If you are traveling, this is one of those restaurants that you wish you had back home....and we are happy that you found us.
"We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The service was very good and the decor is very nice. The food is average at best and very expensive. We can find better breakfast food and several local diners for much less."

"Whether stopping at their delightful bar for a wind-down wine and smooth jazz on the way home from work, enjoying a delicious brunch after church, meeting friends for a quiet dinner or celebrating a special occasion, the Greenfield Restaurant is our favorite. Their professional staff is second to none, a quality that begins at the top. And their outdoor patio is a setting to be enjoyed as often as you can. The menu? Inventive and inviting, varied in portion and price and sure to please."

"We had an awesome waiter for our dinner. He was very friendly and knowledgable. Unfortunately he had about 6 tables with about 15 customers, and he was slammed. There was a lot of time that we spent waiting for him to get our drinks, bread desserts etc. the busses should have been taught how to help out more, not just filling waters and clearing tables. We were not in a hurry so it was alright but just too much time spent waiting. The food was great, hot and wonderful flavors. We definitely would go back. I especially loved the dessert selection--it was hard to pick just one!! Thanks again to Josh our waiter!"

"The food was good but the service was slower than expected. Very disappointed that there was no mention of dining rooms upstairs without an elevator. Elderly Mother had difficulty climbing the stairs. A restaurant of this caliber should have an elevator."

"5 of us dined in a quiet corner on a balcony overlooking the bar area where a pianist played live music that wafted throughout the wide open area. We had lamb, prime beef, and crab cakes and all were very happy with their meals. The wine list is presented either in traditional menu form, or, as we chose, on an electronic tablet, which was both fun and easy. The service was friendly and excellent. All in all, a very nice experience."

"The food was tremendous - excellent quality and the portions appropriately sized. The bar area was a delightful place to sit. It was raining on our visit, so the next time we visit, we'll sit outside. It beckoned to us!"

"Greenfield Restaurant was pretty good. I enjoyed the Caesar salad and the derby pie for dessert was excellent. My husband had the salmon and liked it very much. He also liked the the crab appetizer. We went for our Anniversary, which I noted on the special requests, but nothing special was done for us, which was disappointing."

"We love dining here! The food is fresh and made to order. They have delicious fresh seafood and their crab cakes are the best I've ever had. My husband loves their Filet. Cooked perfectly. Love their French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad and their homemade desserts are worth indulging in. We dined downstairs in the wine cellar. If you get a chance to dine there...you should! There are only 2 tables. Very private... We loved it. But whether you sit there or in their bar area, main dining room or their loft...you will love this gem of a restaurant! It's one of the best in Lancaster County!!"

"Of course I booked through OpenTable which is so convenient. I had been to the restaurant previously, so there were no suprises. Quaint colonial decor in the dining area, a bit more upscale in the bar. The bar has tables and on that Saturday night there was a pianist as well. I had the scallops (4 or 5) and my other had halibut over couscous which was also good. I could have used another 2 scallops for the price, but they really were great as were the sides of brussel sprouts and sweet potato 'broulet'. Yummy. Even when the room was full, it wasn't too loud, but it's not a big room. Private dining area upstairs and downstairs as well. Just nice, generally a treat."

"We go to church near the restaurant and after not being there in years, thought we try the brunch options this past Sunday. The service was great, the coffee was excellent and the bread basket looked amazing. However, none of us were thrilled with our main meals. The crab Benedict came out warm at best and the crab meat was chilled. The English muffin was tough from age and over cooked. The fruit plate was all frozen fruit and the side of hash browns were cold and flavorless as well. The cocktails were a delight but, for $29, I'm not sure they were enough for any of us to recommend it or the food to our friends."

"This was about the fifth time we have eaten at the Greenfield Inn and one of the best. It is definitely our favorite restaurant in that area. We ate in the wine cellar based on a review by an open table respondent and it was excellent. The ambiance there added a lot to our evening. Constance was very cordial, professional and accommodating; and, the food is always excellent. We recommend the Olde Greenfield Inn highly."

"We dine at Greenfield Restaurant as part of our shopping & entertainment (American Music Theatre) trips to Lancaster. As usual, the scallops and mushroom risotto were fresh, exquisitely prepared and delicious. Joanne, the host, honored our request for a balcony table overlooking the bar area and made us feel like returning family. You'll miss a great dining experience if you eat elsewhere!"

"We had dinner at the Greenfield on Fri, Mar 15 and Sat, Mar 16. My husband's diver scallops were excellent. My crabcakes were too blended. We were very disappointed in our shared appetizer, the tuna carpaccio. It was overpriced and the wasabi was too strong that accompanied it. We love this restaurant but the appetizer was a hugh disappointment and started my meal off badly. Having had the crabcakes the night before, I knew they could be better. He enjoyed his dessert."

"Mixed review as my wifes lamb was cooked very well however my sirloin was far too fatty and falls short of what I would term a prime cut of beef. Having gone to 3 top steak restaraunts over the last 3 months in Philly and Baltimore perhaps I am being a steak snob but for the price this sirloin should have cost about $20 and I find better cuts at the local Applebees than I got this night. The mashed potatoes were average and we skipped desert as I was left without an appetite for additional disappointment at that time. The waiter was very nice but talked so much to the one other table that is located downstairs we often waited 10 minutes after we ordered coffee for instance, to receive it. Nice kid but....1.5 hours for meal with no desert..."

"We ate in the wine cellar which added something special to what was a delicious dinner and exceptional service. We enjoyed the lamb and scallops, both of which were tender and seasoned to perfection. The wine list is outstanding. We had a CA Zin that was delicious. If you go, ask to be seated in the wine cellar. Very romantic and private."

"My wife and I go here on an annual basis. If you are looking for a romantic ambiance I would suggest reserving a table in the wine cellar. There are only 2 table in the wine cellar and provides the perfect setting for a quite dinner for two. The food is amazing and the service is second to none. If you enjoy wine they have a very large selection of wine from their house wine to Opus One. You will love this place for sure! I HIGHLY recommend the New "Generation Frenched Pork Chop's" WOW!!!"
