"My husband and I recently went to Triumph Grill with both sets of our parents, and we had a great meal before attending "Million Dollar Quartet" at the nearby Fox Theater. The service and food were both great, and we'd definitely recommend Triumph Grill to friends/family. After we ate, we even took a tour around the museum full of antique motorcycles from all over the world, and while none of us are particularly into motorcycles, we enjoyed looking at all of them. :-)"

"First time visit to Triumph was for Mother's Day. Food buffet was well laid out and there was plenty of variety. It was a tiny challenge toast my own bread (hard to do, either you are holding up the line or squeezing in between to retrieve) but worth the wait. Initial greeting from hostess was not very warm but server was great as were all that worked to keep buffet stocked. I will definitely go back to try the regular menu."

"Didn't like that omlets were taken off the menu and only eggs benedict and regular eggs were served. There were no pancake, waffles or french toast, only some overcooked blueberry french toast concoction. Very disappointed in those staples that should have been on the menu. And on a more personal note...My family and I were seated in a room with families with babies. This was very disturbing and after being seated, who wants to regroup and move?"

"This was our first experience dining here. My husband and I ordered the filet of fish, onion rings (subbed the fries), and slaw. The fish was fried too hard and the slaw had no consistency to it...literally like eating raw cabbage. The onion rings were the saving grace. They were delicious. I wish we would've ordered two different entrees so we could've sampled another item from the menu."

"Overall, all four of us enjoyed Triumph Grill. My only criticism is that the shrimp and crab risotto I had, although good, with plenty of shrimp, had what appeared to be normal rice instead of risotto. There was none of the creaminess associated with risotto."

"Highly recommend. Triumph Grill has a very convenient location to mid-town St. Louis, Grande Centre neighborhood and St. Louis University. Reasonably priced menu, nice craft beer selection and good food. Attire is whatever you're wearing to where ever you're going after. Not crazy loud but during peak dinner hours, the weak accoustics makes the noise level a wee bit energetic. Don't let the accoustic issue prevent you from exjoying the Triumph experience. Very popular place to meet friends and eat before or after attending the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Recommend reservations."

"We ate here before an show at the FOX. I had the caribbean crab soup and it was wonderful. My husband had the turkey burger and said it was very good. The service was slow. We finally said something to the waitress that we were on a limited time and she said she would take care of it. We had made our reservation for 1 and 1/2 hours before the Fox show thinking it would leave us plenty of time but we barely go to the Fox by 8:00."

"We went before the Fox. It took a long time for a server to get our order. Apparently, she had a big group to wait on. I sat there at least 10 minutes before getting a water. My son had to flag down the hostess to ask her to get our server.
Food was delicious - lots of flavor and good selection. Wasn't snooty. We may return, not sure before event though. Had planned to go to South Grand but rain...Made a 6:30 reservation. My son and his friend got there 6:15, got a table, got water. They sat there with their menus for 25 minutes, as I arrived at 6:30 and waited 10 minutes for the waitress to come over. They were very hungry. My son is undergoing chemo and can't drink, so we didn't either - maybe we weren't their favored customers."

"I was somewhat disappointed in the Easter brunch. The food was ok/average but the service was very lacking from the hostesses and the waitress. Giving this place a second chance, we tried it again for dinner last weekend. Again, the hostess was terrible and the food was over salted and warm. I'm not sure if its worth a third try."

"We had the following for dinner: steak salad (very good), mushroom fettucini (excellent), halibut entree (good though the fish was bland and probably was frozen). Our server was friendly but not very attentive, which was perplexing because the restaurant was not particularly busy that evening. Nonetheless, I've never had a bad meal at the Triumph Grill and it's a great place before an event on Grand Ave. We will return!"

"The food at triumph is very good. Unfortunately, this makes the third time in a row where we have had poor service when dining at tables. Some of the experiences included having the wrong food brought to us, drink refills being ignored, etc. On the current trip, the waitress didn't put in our appetizer order and then just non-chalantly said she would drop if after we started eating our main courses to which we passed. No apology, nothing. She was quite rude actually. She also was not very attentive to the table most of the night. It's a shame because the restaurant has so much promise. We have not had issues sitting at the bar, perhaps we can only eat at the bar.The restaurant had the music on VERY loud but that was unusal."

Sunday brunch was an easy walk from the Sheldon. An interesting drink menu but the Mexican Bloody Mary was definitely caliente (I could not finish the pungent drink) and the Bellini was so-so. However, the brunch began by ordering either a custom omelet of eggs Benedict (including one with crab!) from the wait staff on a paper order sheet; both were excellent. Arrayed on the bar was the brunch of salads, pastas, grilled potatoes, fresh bread pudding from the oven, salmon with the fixings, and decadent desserts. Well pleased"

"2 items for 4 people were incorrect. NO soup arrived after being ordered...so we said skip it and fries were brought as a side instead of the cole slaw requested....waitress was apologetic but seemed quite rushed. My rueben was ok, but kind of dry...needed more sauce."

"The food was very good and the atmosphere was fine. It is a great place to go before attending a Fox Theater event. Our waiter was okay at best. Obviously, he didn't like his job. Service was minimal. He wasn't rude but was far from attentive or friendly. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Waiter did offer drink refills eventually but overall, just gave a negative impression."

"This was my second trip to Triumph. The first visit was excellent in every respect. This visit was met with the poorest service that I have experienced at a restaurant like this in a long time. They were out of many selections, the service was slow, the waiter mixed up the orders, and forgot to bring soups and salads before bringing the entrees. Then, after saying those items that he failed to bring wouldn't be on the bill, they appeared on the bill. And, having a party of six, we had the obligatory 20% tip automatically added to the bill--something I don't mind paying when the service is decent. This was not. I was the person who suggested the restaurant to my friends. I was embarrassed by the service."

"This is in a great location for the Fox Theatre and St. Louis University, and the food is great also. Servers are friendly and enthusiastic, and the decor using motorcycle memorabilia and parts is very interesting. Our continuing complaint is that the acoustics are bad and the place gets uncomfortably loud when full, or when a single table of loud diners is present."

"Close to the Fox theater, with good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere. We had some signature cocktails, then a good meal (three pastas, and the curry pork loin were enjoyed by all) then walked to the Fox for the show. Hard to beat. Only drawback is that their cocktails are a little pricey. The alcohol bill for the three of us, after only one drink a piece, was more than the meal! Still, the drinks were tasty, the food great, and the location unsurpassable."
