"the menu was limited so did not correspon to the website. They ran out of what they were offering. they tried to put us at a table in the back near the elevators and when I asked to move was told that it was the most popular table. only positive was our server and the location for the ballet. they should of at least taken something off the bill."

""Arpeggio" is the latest newest restaurant in the lobby of Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. In mid-May "Arpeggio" delivered fine friendly attentive service, delicious food, and at a price quite decent for Lincoln Center in NYC. Its unpretentious, friendly, and the price per person was $67 for 4 of us. (We all ordered different meals). That includes wine, salads, entrees, coffee, a dessert, taxes and tip for all 4 people. There is an inside darker dining room, plus a bright dining room on the windows overlooking Lincoln Square - where it was nicely quiet in the rear of that dining room. We prefer the daylight and fine ambiance at the dining room by the windows. It's a good choice for pre-theatre dinner."

"I hate to have to take a taxi to a restaurant, only to have to take another one to the theater. So, when I first found out about Arpeggio in the Avery Fisher Hall building at Lincoln Center, I knew I'd give it a try. I've been back six times; possibly more. I have a ballet subscription, and now, I can't think of a better place for dinner than to have a great meal (I've never been disappointed), feel completely satisfied and happy, be right where I want to end up, and walk across the plaza to the ballet after dinner! So maybe this isn't a fair comparison to all restaurants in New York City, because the location matters so much to me, but you won't be disappointed! Last Saturday's skirt steak was a feast for the eyes and the palate!"

"Lovely ambiance and decor. Service is okay. I had one gluten-free choice and was not confident that the chef and staff understood the seriousness of the issue (that may be due to the server since I never see the chef). My last meal, the halibut special, was well cooked but the meal was laughingly sparse with only a small piece of fish and five leaves of frisee. You should be ashamed of yourself for charging $30 dollars... now really! Now I know to eat well before I come to dinner and while my dinner partner eats I'll be drinking water."

"Although the part of Arpeggio one sees in the atrium of Avery Fisher Hall is bright and airy, the majority of the seating is in an unattractive corridor, separated by curtains from the rest of the Hall. There is essentially no decor, per se, in the curtained section. In fact, we might as well have been in a hotel rented banquet room.
The menu is un-friendly for vegetarians. When we asked for the pasta dishes without meat/fish, our waitron looked at us like she had never had such a request before.
We'll come back (because we are season ticket holders for the Philharmonic), but will ask to sit at the bar, and just have the cheese plate."

"I think "Great for Lincoln Center" (or maybe "for pre-performance") should be a "special feature"! The food is excellent (my trout with ?grits? was outstanding last time), but the location is a huge consideration, and they are RIGHT THERE, the only Lincoln Center restaurant (except the specialized Grand Tier) which doesn't require you to brave the elements to get to your play/opera/concert. Plus the service is friendly and attentive, you can relax knowing you will make your curtain."

"Arpeggio is convenient for pre-Lincoln Center events, especially in the winter. The food was okay, the service was too fast...the food appeared in minutes after being ordered, which means, to me, that it was siting around waiting to be microwaved.

"My husband and I relinquished our subscription to the NY Philharmonic after being patrons for over a decade when our teenage sons became rabid Rangers fans. The economy hasn't recovered enough for those of us "damaged" by the 2008 financial crisis to afford both. So for Valentine's Day, I bought Philharmonic tix and we enjoyed a "date night" like we did in the past.
I was perturbed at how the line at the hostess's kept getting cut by well heeled NY'ers who said "Well, we've got reservations!" So did those of us who waited on line! These obnoxious patrons wasted a lot of precious pre-concert dining time for all of us. Any way to politely post something that says, "The line is for patrons WITH, OR WITHOUT reservations." ?"

"Good place for Lincoln Center occasion. Very convenient. The menu is limited but the food was good. Everybody liked their dishes except the one with chicken dish. The dessert menu offers two items. The quality of the coffee is not up to the standard of the food. Pricier than we thought."

"It's only virtue is its convenience to lincoln center. The food was adequate, high end catered affair, my chicken came within a few minutes of ordering, I really don't like eating pre cooked food. It did not taste bad, on the dry side, i have had worse, but for a near 100 dollars for two people, not worth it."
