"This restaurant was perfect for a mother's day brunch. The service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and made our experience wonderful. The food was very good as well as reasonable prices. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant"

"was very disappointed this time. Had been there before and was good, but this time took exceptionally long time to bring out food (over 45 minutes) and the lasagna was dry and the halibut which was the special was tasteless.and dry.I had to add olive oil, and seasoning . Nothing came with the fish except some ground up vegetables...did not look appealing to eat, and was overpriced!!"

"I am on the fence about recommending this restaurant. The fish dishes we got were decent, but cooked in way too much oil, as were the side vegetables. No starch included, so had to order a side of potatoes to feel like I was getting a decent meal. The fish-of-the-day was seriously overpriced. I would not rate the restaurant as good value for the money."

"Might become my new favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Not presumptuous -- located in a little-known shopping plaza -- but friendly atmosphere and excellent food. Butternut squash ravioli (NB: all pastas are homemade!) was sweet and just a bit chewy -- the way it should be. Husband's seafood skewer was quite abundant and delicious. We will be back!"

"This was a great little spot for dinner! Now, there are even better places in the area with a little better service, (e.g., Il Pizzico) but if you are looking for a change from the normal Italian place you dine at, I highly recommend Amici Mei. The Homemade Roasted Veal & Spinach Agnolotti is to die for - one of the best dishes I've ever had!! It's also so cool that you can buy the art on the walls and there's a coat check! Amici Mei is friendly and down to earth with but with nice little amenities!"

"Wonderful service, excellent food, and nice atmosphere. I had the roasted lamb that was a special and it was cooked to perfection--medium and just so tasty! I will definitely be back!"

"the rockfish and sole were excellent; try the olives as an alternative appetizer other meals looked inviting; tables close together and a bit noisy but food extra special"

"what a true trattoria should be, with well prepared continental Italian fare (including scrumptious fresh sardines fried to perfection). Amici Miei even includes regular patrons, attentive host and waitstaff, and real (aka NOT Starbucks) foamy, delicious espresso and cappucino. I bring business meetings, family and friends there often...so good and close to home. Bravo!"

"I have never had bad food in this great neighborhood restaurant. The menu is quite authentic and features Italian food beyond the range of the usual red-sauce places. The calamari and shrimp appetizer is especially good, as is the homemade papardelle with wild boar sauce. They have good fish as well. Buon Appetito john galotto potomac, maryland"

"If I were going back, I would stick with the simpler dishes, like pasta and pizza on the menu and avoid the specials. We got the special entree lamb shank, which was fatty, and the special swordfish, which was good but a bit overcooked. The service was friendly and prompt. Wine was expensive at $9 for a small glass. I think we'll give it another try."

"We live in the neighborhood of Amici Miei and have eaten there many, many times. The food has always been very good and they try to add a little extra to make it taste in more special. We would recommend it."

"The best Italian food in Potomac can be found at Amici Miei. Everything was very fresh, tasty, and well presented. We had absolutely no complaints with either the food or the service we will definitely go back."

"The duck with whole wheat pasta was incredible - wish it were on the regular menu. The people here are so friendly and remember repeat patrons, it truly has a neighborhood feel. The acoustics are great so it feels lively but you can easily hear people at your table. We love this place!"

"Overall was disappointed in the restaurant. The Calamari was quite fishy tasting and soggy, the fennel salad was ridiculously small and the veal scaloppini was overdone and sauce was sticky ---- like it has been sitting and was reheated. Will not return this was our second attempt. We also had the bass special and the spinach puree though very tasty was cold. This was a birthday dinner and fell short on many levels."
