"The food was good, however our waiter was not. He would take half of the people's orders at our table and walk off. We would have to call him back over to take the remaining orders. He was also not knowledgeable of the menu. It was our first time dining at Galanga's so we had a few questions. I would go back, but would request a much more experienced waiter."

"As we sat down, the Server greated us: "what's up?" That's on Valentine's Day.We walked out since we did not care for a Server with attitude, on top of a limited menu without any price on it.This is the third time we had a bad experience at this restaurant and we will never - ever come back!"

"We have been to Galanga many times and enjoy the food and service. We decided to go for Valentine's Day and did not leave as happy as we usually do. First, I would expect that if they have specials for Valentine's (which they did) that they would also offer them the Saturday night prior. Not a big deal at all just not what I'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Second, the service was poor compared to previous visits. Our server seemed preoccupied with other tables and another server come over to take our order. Felt like we were being passed along. That same server also brought us our check when we were done with dinner. No one asked if we wanted dessert/coffee, which we were planning on having. We decided against dessert..."

"I brought people who had never been to Galanga before. They found it to be a fabulous dining experience. They thought the building was beautifully done inside and the food to be outstanding.
We all live in Palm Beach County but I am pretty certain these people will travel down to Galanga again. I have been there many times and intend to continue making the drive down to Wilton Manors to enjoy Galanga many more times."

"The service was excellent. The shared appetizer for two was a great choice. The Pad Thai was too sweet with a sauce that was like a very heavy syrup which made it difficult to eat. If you know what corn syrup is like, then you have an idea how thick this sauce was. The other diners in our party said their food which included the salmon entrée and vegetarian curry was excellent. We were seated in the outdoor dining area that was comfortable. The lights were dim so it made reading the menu a little difficult for us older folks even when wearing reading glasses. I heard that it was very loud when seated indoors."

"We were four and three of us wer quite happy with our meals. I had the scollops in basil sauce and found that each scollop has a very tough unchewable piece that I had not remembered experienced in eating scollops many times before, both in restaurants and those I have sauteed or broiled at thome. I was also unfamiilir with the perfectly round and uniformm shape. I wonder if these were scollops or pieces stamped out from another type of fish. I hope there is another exsplanation."

"The New Year's Eve pre-fixe menu was horrible, the portions were scraps of meat, they ran out of the pre-fixe dessert and served the worse taramisu, and the ambiance was tacky by far with a failed attempt for a mardi GRAS theme. The music was so blah..,Thanks for a nice waiter though"

"I hosted a small party for my birthday on Christmas Eve, a difficult night to be judging restaurants. However, I have been to Galanga several times in the past and thought it to be and ideal venue for this gathering. It was a beautiful, warm evening and we dined outdoors. My guests were quite impressed with the food. My only complaint was the tuna sushi tasted off, surprising since I go there specifically for the sushi. The management brought another tuna roll, but by then I wasn't in the mood for it. The yellowtail was delicious and all the entrées were superb. A very special chocolate dessert was presented for my birthday and we all left committing to return."

"This is a difficult review to write. I have been to Galanga for dinner and found it to be wonderful..Food, ambience, decor, service etc. It had it all. Went for lunch and was extremely disappointed. The appetizers tasted reheated and everything was overcooked. of coure the quality of the ingredients was still good so I gave it a 2 instead of its usual 5. Hope it was a fluke. For that money I should have gone to Rainbow Palace which is consistently wonderful."

"The service was very good and our server certainly seemed to know the menu and was very helpful is suggesting items.

Caution....the restaurant does not offer complimentary refills on soft drinks. When I ordered a Diet Coke and asked for a refill the server informed me that there are "no" complimentary refills and that I would be charged. I think it's a bad business idea and it created quite a buzz at our table following the statement. We were a party of six and spent over $200.00. No one charges for refills on fountain soft drinks anymore. This policy is a bad business idea."
