Tarallucci e Vino is the place to enjoy an authentic Italian dining experience in vibrant Union Square. In the morning we’re your spot to read the paper over a great cappuccino and homemade cornetto. For lunch, have a panini or some fresh pasta with your business partners, that special someone, or just sit by yourself and watch New York go by.
After work, grab a stool at the bar for an Aperitivo and taste our great selection of wines and cocktails.
For dinner we offer an elegant and innovative menu that changes with every season. Our inspiration is a blend of traditional Italian cuisine and modern culinary techniques.
"I celebrated my birthday with a friend and it was a special evening indeed. The hostess moved us to a much quieter spot in the front and then informed us that everything on the menu had changed since t a new chef had arrived two week prior. At first disappointed we proceeded to order two appetizers and split the seas scallop entree. The burrata and beet salad was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed the eggplant with cherry tomatoes. The scallops were plump and tasty with a lemon and green garlic flavor. We followed it with a simple but very fresh mesclun salad and an amazing hazelnut semifreddo with a berry sorbet YUM! One thing I would insist on is they bring back the octopus and potato antipasti which is now only available at lunch."

"I was surprised there were so many people there on a mid morning weekday. A bit too loud, difficult to have a conversation. But good coffee and pastries for the morning."

"This used to be one of our favorite places for our family of 4 for brunch every weekend, until today. We had a small thing that we mentioned to our terrific waiter. The manager handled it really poorly and in such an off-putting manner, we'll never be back. For what that place costs, you'd think they'd give you a lot less attitude when it comes to a $3 item on a $90 bill. The waiters are really nice, the "poor" mark is specifically for the manager."

"Tarallucci e Vino is one of those rare places that smells like Italy as soon as you walk in. The flavor and quality of the food and the excellence of the coffee beverages are excellent which is why I have been a regular at both the 18th and 10th street locations since the eary 2000's. just be mindful of the excessive noise levels: this is not a place for quiet conversation."

"The sandwich I had was made in bread that was so dry I nearly choked, stuffed with an omelet (sorry, "frittata") that was flat and overcooked. Espresso drinks are weak and not up to the standards we've grown used to in nyc in recent years. Sorry to see what happened to this former neighborhood gem after its expansion."
