"I visited this restaurant on recommendation from the friend who particularly loved the food. I think that we had just a bad luck; our seafood tapas were all undercooked and could not be digested. The service and the ambiance were outstanding though and I am sure that if not for those tapas, it would be perfect. I do visit Barcelona regularly and the tapas there, I must say, are so good, that it is hard to compete ( despite the chef from Andalusia)."

"We have always wanted to try the molecular gastronomy experience... The bazaar offered a variety of tapas the traditional (which is not with molecular gastronomy and is not explained properly) and the modern tapas (the real thing!). We had 7 dishes (+ 4 desserts) between the 2 of us and it was great! Some were more memorable then others. I loved the hilly steak sandwich and the bagel and lox. Great wine menu and also special drinks. Definitely worth a visit!"

"All the incredible food you'd expect from Jose Andres. Great mix of traditional and modern tapas. The"cheesesteaks" were amazing and the "life changing" dashi linguini was just that. Fabulous decor and fun food plating. Very relaxed atmosphere, we didn't feel at all rushed. They didn't try to upsell us on the wine we ordered or steer us to more expensive dishes. It was a great evening."

"The items I liked were spectacular - ham iberico, the cod croquettes and mushrooms. The other items were mediocre - steak, the sauce with the daily fish (fish itself was very good). The dessert - bread pudding - is not recommended especially if you have had great bread pudding."

"Everything sounded great on menu but when u recieve the dishes you realize that they leave a lot of details off the menu.
Each dish was pretty small even for tapas.
Everything had "foam" or "pearls" or "spheres" or "pop-rocks" or "powder". I get it. Occasional textures & molecular gastronomy magic can elevate a dish. But every single dish had this stuff & it suddenly it went from special & unusual & creative to cliché and ridiculous. Why reinvent perfection? Aren't olives already a delicious & perfectly contained flavor burst of salt and brine? Why would someone liquefy them and wrap them in a slimy membrane? I don't get it."

"The Bazaar provides a robust vegan menu that doesn't get enough attention. The cocktails are also top notch. The staff is also very attentive.
On my last visit we got a communal table back near the kitchen but it turned out not to be a problem. There are no bad seats in this restaurant."

"My wife and I had dinner here on April 24 ... we are both foodies and our taste buds were fully satisfied by the quality, perfect food preparation and creativity at this excellent restaurant ... the service was impeccable, the ambiance was fun ... fully recommended ... we started with a fantastic Iberico di Bellota ... so tasty, so delicate at same time, then we had 5 more tapas (lobster [the best], spinach salad, sea urchin [second best] ...) ... then we moved to the patisserie and picked our desserts: a fantastic Spanish flan, and a tasty and delicate small pastry (chocolate, berries) ...
Thank you for this amazing culinary experience

"After my chef friend told me to visit Jaleo in Vegas, I became hooked on what Jose was doing in restaurants. To celebrate our culinary victory in LA, we went to Bazaar and had an amazing experience. The waiter may have screwed up a few minor things during our tasting but it was not really a problem and mostly to our advantage. I would highly recommend."

"Gotta go at least once.... Sensory overload when you enter. Beautiful decor ..like nowhere else. Staff very friendly.
Great diverse menu....fabulous flavor....very small portions....very pricey for what you get... Dinner was $430.00 for the four of us and we arent big drinkers or eaters. NOT A GREAT VALUE.
We got the biggest laugh over the desert prices...i mean ..really ..three dollars for a single marshmellow.....???
This place is excessive even for LA!

"Seafood was def the choice! Both of our chicken and wagyu beef was slightly on the salty side. Passion fruit cocktail was delicious!!!!
We waited quite a long gap for the wagyu beef (mistakenly sent to the wrong table)
Service was pretty awesome, our waitress Jamie was real nice and super friendly.
Loved the seperated dessert area, very cool.
Fun experience?

"We have been to several Jose Andres restaurants (Oyamel & Jaleo in DC, Jaleo in Las Vegas), so we knew we'd be in for a great dining experience at Bazaar. Little did we know that this restaurant blows the others out of the water! The food is tapas, very similar in selection and style to Jaleo, but it's the restaurant itself that made this night fabulous. First of all, the restaurant is quite large, varied in decor, and beautiful to behold. Once your meal is over you are escorted to a separate dessert area, with more eye candy there, and on your way out, a store. We recommend the papas canarias, "the ultimate Spanish tapa," and the Butifarra Senator Moynihan as our top 3, gluten-free items. I loved the drink made with mezcal. Wow!"

"Service was horrible for an expensive dining experience like this. The waitress seemed disinterested and we had to flag her down if we wanted to order anything. Totally unacceptable when you are paying around $100 a person. Then when I got the check i learned the tip was already included since we were a party of six. That explained everything. Will not be going back there again."

"It's an experience, but probably not worth the hefty coin. It's tapas in an environment that is trying to be too hip for its own good. Service was very nice, and friendly. Food was good but not memorable. But the pretension was a bit painful. I think our server spent 5 minutes explaining to us why their cauliflower is an explosion of cauliflowerness, or how special it is to call ham Jamon. The 15 minute lecture to convince us that we were eating a rarified feast from another planet was kind of laughable."

"So glad we went, and would definitely return as the the drinks, decor, service and dessert room were *wonderful*... but we really weren't blown away by the food. At all. It was fine, but not great. If amazing tapas are what you're hunkering for, I'd look elsewhere."

"Great dining experience once we were moved from what was the most terrible seat in the place. My dining chair was a large wingback chair with a reclined pitch. The table was almost as high as my neck and when I asked to move to a regular chair the host said that was not possible (meanwhile there were lots of open tables). I said to her that there is no way I could eat sitting in this position. After a few minutes she returned and moved us to a table with regular dining chairs. The rest of the evening was fantastic."

"The frozen caipirinha with liquid nitrogen was really delicious and fun to watch prepared tableside. All of the food was tasty and beautiful. We had the caviar cones, stuffed peppers, olives, caprese, eggplant tempura and the Philly Cheesesteak. We all had a different favorite. The modern tapas are fun to try, but the traditional ones tasted better in my opinion.
The service was really marginal for the caliber of the restaurant. It was almost abrupt. Service staff were effective, but seemed in a hurry to move us through the meal. Once relocated to the patisserie, which is a site to behold (camera-worthy), service was superb.
I would definitely recommend to foodies or those who really appreciate the nouveau in food."

"This was our first dinner at Bazaar in a couple of years. Since it was Easter Sunday evening, the restaurant was quieter than in previous visits. The varied menu still evokes that child-in-a-candy shop feeling, and the food is still delicious and well-prepared. Our dinner waitress was lovely-- helpful with menu selections, but not opinionated. The transfer to the desert bar was awkward and almost unpleasant, however. We had to wait over-long for the hostess to escort us, and she turned out to be haughty to the point of being rude. My coffee was lukewarm, and no one offered a refill."

"A terrific place to take a group, so many options, helpful advice from great servers, quick food delivery keep things upbeat and delicious. So completely different from the staid boring endless fine dining experience that is typical when there are more than four diners.
Always fun to introduce this restaurant to newcomers. everyone is always wowed from the cocktails to the food choices to the option of the delicious desserts to be served in the other room. Great idea to offer cookies, candy, and specialty items.
Edible caramels and Nitro coconut floating island are just two of the extraordinary options.
I love this restaurant.
Also have always been welcoming to my one year old granddaughter, a great added benefit!

"The food was quite interesting and delicious all the way. The servers and even the receptionists were friendly as we checked in for our reservation, and that's definitely a big plus on my list! Overall, the ambience, food and service was great! The only advice that I would suggest to those who are not aware about the concept of their food : it is a tapas-style place and it takes A LOT of orders to satisfy that hunger. Other than that, it's a place definitely worth trying =)"

"Still quite the scene. That I can do without. They do have one quieter room in front. Food still good. We always love the olives two way, uni buns, Philly Cheese Steak, guacamole and cheeses to start with. All with their special twist of course. I think if you go with the intention to spend a lot of money and order all over the menu and try all their unique house special drinks you'd have a great time. Worth a try at least once. Be prepared to wait for your table though. They always run late. But you can start ordering apps at the bar if you find a seat at one of the communal tables or cocktail tables."

"The Bazaar exceeded expectations. I had heard about the inventive (to put it mildly) dishes, but they were delectable and made the dining experience seem like an expedition into the world of the exotic. Also, the servers were extremely helpful in suggesting which dishes to try. Loved everything, especially the sea urchin sandwich, the philly cheesesteak, the caprese with liquid mozzarella and the caesar salad that is nothing like you've ever eaten. And the desserts are to die for, especially the coconut cream prepared using liquid nitrogen. Word of warning, the plates are small -- don't fill up on dinner, leave room for dessert."

"Having previously eaten in several of Chef Andres’s restaurants (Jaleo is one of our favorites), we had high hopes for Bazaar. The food is interesting, but the condescending, inattentive service took the fun out of the evening. We will not return."

"Had a great birthday celebration at Bazaar. We didn't have enough people for the tasting menu but our waitress put together a wonderful menu of 12-15 items. She did a great job of providing a variety of options along with a substantial amount of food. Always one of my favorites and it didn't disappoint!"

"Our experience at The Bazaar and nearby Tres (bar) were the gastronomical/nightspot highlights of our recent vacation in Los Angeles. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and enjoyed cocktails at Tres in an eclectic, relaxing sofa area, complete with faux fireplace and privacy curtains. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Great stress reduction option after dealing with LA traffic!! The Bazaar was one of the most dynamic dining experiences we've ever experienced! Esoteric, exotic, fun environment. Trippy ambient music. Exquisite wine choices. And tapas to die for! My wife has spent ample time throughout Spain and she raved about the options. We had an outstanding dinner and plan to return when in LA."

"We had to ask the hostess to assist us to the dessert area of the restaurant... 3-4 times if that gives you an idea of how this night went. We asked where our food was 3-4 times before finally getting it with one of our items, the philly cheesesteak, cold and hardly useful. We began the night off by asking for a better table which was odd in what looked like a half-empty restaurant. Their drinks are very good if you don't mind their price (I don't). My fourth time here, and gets worse every time."

"The Bazaar by Jose Andres is easily one of the most unique culinary adventures we've ever experienced. It was everything that we had hoped it would be - and then some! The drinks and tapas were not to be believed. Every one was a work of art. We will definitely go back.
OK - a couple notes. The wine list is completely overpriced. They sell $10-20 bottles for upwards of $60, and serious wines (retail $50-75) run hundreds of dollars. If you want to drink wine, treat yourself to a high end retail wine and pay the $35 corkage. I don't mind a reasonable markup (100%, for example) - but 500% or more markup is ridiculous."

"It's pricey, but you already know that. I HIGHLY recommend when you order dessert, STAY IN THE DINING ROOM. We took our dessert in the patisserie and went from the dining room (low-key, quiet and romantic)- the patisserie (loud, crowded and rude). We had people's butts in our faces, a waitress who replaced our excellent waiter (Trevor)and forgot about us for all intent and purpose. Had we stayed in the dining room, I would have rated this place a 4 1/2 or 5 star experience. Overall, the food is maybe 20% overpriced but quite fun and tasty. I would go here again, but just for dinner, not dessert."
