Almond, an American bistro located in New York City’s bustling Flatiron District, combines the best of farm-to-table cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere. Co-owner and Executive Chef Jason Weiner offers a menu of accessible dishes that put market-fresh ingredients center stage. Classic Almond dishes include Steamed Black Mussels with Shallots and White Wine and Roast Chicken with Hand-Crushed Potatoes and Natural Jus, while a list of “plats du jour” range from Roasted Whole Fish to Heritage Farms Porkchop to Rack of Lamb. Our wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines from regions across France and California. A specialty cocktail list, New York state craft beer selection, and raw bar selections are all available, along with our entire menu, at the restaurant’s spacious 20-seat bar.
Private dining spaces are perfect for larger parties and a hidden European-style billiards room adds to the restaurant’s charm.
"Some of the best food I've had in my life...I'm not exaggerating.
We arrived about 45 minutes early and they sat us as soon as we arrived anyway. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The manager gave us a free appetizer for no reason.
I couldn't have been more impressed. I'll go back every time I visit the city."

"Took a client and associate for lunch. Wow, menu very few selections and no accommodations for items being cooked another way. Grilled instead of poached. Anyway waiter had an attitude about him. maybe he thought he was special? Food was very Salty and both my lunch guests commented the same. Save your money, better value and quality elsewhere."

"Get the almond hash. Its a little on the heavy side so you might want to share it with someone, especially if you eat their warm biscuits while you are looking over the menu and waiting for your food to arrive."

"Oysters were what drew me there. And they were tasty, as was the main dish. Wine list, though, a BIG letdown and not helped by half the wines not being in stock. But, hey, manager told me that quality of wine is "relative." Still, manged to find a good one, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. If you don't mind the rough edges, certainly a recommended place."

"Great place for a moderate priced brunch. Something for everyone from plain eggs to duck hash for the more adventurous diner. Loved the biscuits served with the meal. My only complaint was that it was really noisy and hard to hear my dining companions. If I was in the area again I would most likely return."

"I have gone many times for dinner and this was my first time going for brunch. While the french toast was great, I found the restaurant to be extremely crowded and much louder than usual. It may be that I am not used to hearing screaming babies at a place that I often dine at late at night with business associates and guests from out of town. I will stick to my late night dinners here since I really enjoy the food and prefer the evening ambiance."

"Consistently very good, a great place to meet friends. The energy is up there, but not overwhelming. (Just don't sit too close to the bar is you want to have conversation.)"

"The menu is changing with the season so it's a great time to visit either because the winter favorites (like Brussels sprouts two ways)are leaving or new dishes (like the new Italian style pork chop) are arriving. The food is always prepared with care (as in a presentation you like) and I always see plenty of management in the large dining room."

"I adore Almond. It's my go-to spot for business lunches as I work close by. They do everything to accommodate you. The food is terrific. Service is always wonderful. They want to please you and they do. The lunch fixe prix menu included a great starter: roast cauliflower with capers and balsamic. So good. GO to Almond!"

"Casual ambiance, food was delicious. I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and a few vegetable sides as appetizers. We had reservations for 5 at 9:15PM, however our table wasn't ready -- we waited for about 30 minutes. The host, Clay, was very gracious and apologetic, and went out of his way to be as accommodating as possible. I'll definitely be back."

"I find the friendly, consistent, delivery of Almond exactly what you want from a lunch spot. No surprises and they focus on you. I really like the salad Nicoise (poor spelling skills) and they often ask if I would like one, even when it's not on the menu. A great burger is always on the menu and my associates who have been before ask if we can go to Almond when we have a return visit. GO! and try anything at all, you will not be disappointed."

"Excellent food and very good service marred by excessively high noise levels. At brunch the restaurant is full of large groups of boisterous young people who yell over the loud music. As good as the food was, I would hesitate to go back because of this."

"Room is pretty, seating comfortable, easy varied menu. My only complaint was how the waitress poured the wine.....giant glasses and when the bottle quickly became empty she cheerily said, "Would you like another bottle?". We each ordered another glass because we hadn't finished our meal but were annoyed at the hustle."

"Brunch is great here. Very nice selection of delicious choices. Only complaint: our Huevos Rancheros came to the table lukewarm. Kind of surprising as it came out of the kitchen within 10 minutes of ordering. Just TRY to resist the scones served gratis!"

"This was my second visit there, and I've been dreaming about the Brussel Sprout side dish with candied walnuts and bacon since my first trip. For me to forego dessert for more Brussels will explain how good they are. The Fig Estate martini is also a must. We made a special trip from PA to go to this restaurant."

"Beatuiful room. The bresaola was tough. My knife couldn't even cut thru it. Chicken was bland, over cooked and tough as well. Mussels were great. When server brought the bill, it was kinda flung at us. Never going back."

"Went to Almond to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family. The service was impeccable and the food as always is fantastic. While we have never been to Almond with a large group, there were 8 guests, we were impressed with the service provided by our waiter. He was congenial and was able to effectively meet the needs of all the guests."

"A little pricy but a cozy atmosphere. "Le Grand" Macaroni and Cheese was a hit. The Agnolotti was delicious but barely made a dent in one's appetite. 8 small ravioli (sorry, agnolotti) for $ 26.00 is excessive. No sides, no greens. Huh? The sea bass over greens was disappointing. Okay fish with bland greens. I stuck with sides, fortunately. The Charred Montauk Squid was excellent: smoky flavor and delicious romesco and pimento embellishments. The Escarole and Mint salad was good. Chilled way ahead, however? NYC on Saturday night. Had lots of room for dessert!"

"Amazing food, exceptional wine list, service beyond compare. I used Open Table to find this gorgeous restaurant, so glad I did! Our server, Brad, was one of the best servers we have ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience, from start to finish. The Lamb Meatballs are just divine, don't go there without trying them, they melt in your mouth!!"

"I was very happy with my selection of Almond for a Girls Night! Almond was recommended to us by some friends and any place with a Croque Madame on their menu I just have to try! The restaurant is very beautiful and not at all pretentious, which is refreshing. Ryan was our waiter and he was wonderful-Attentive without being pushy and genuinely nice! :)We had the Cheese Board (very nice selection and presentation) and braised Short Rib (tender, wonderful flavors) to start. My friend had the Thursday Special, Poussin (chicken cooked under a brick), she cleaned her plate! I had the Croque Madame, which i loved and my sister had the Steak Frites and wouldn't stop talking about how tender the meat was. All in all a great experience! Will be back!"
