Rokerij
Grilled steaks and chops cooked over pecan wood fires, fresh fish, daily blackboard specials, small plate appetizers and an extensive wine by the glass selection. Dimly lit with eclectic music, sit at the upstairs bar and watch your food being prepared, dine in our over-sized booths or make your way downstairs and hang at the cellar bar. The Rokerij is truly a feast for your senses. Reservations are for parties of four or more.

"My kids and I couldn't celebrate Mother's Day on the weekend of, so we celebrated the following Sunday. It was me, my husband, my two adult kids, and my four year old granddaughter. Everyone was so impressed with the selection of specials (a lot of fish options) and the quality of the food. My granddaughter ordered a pizza. She is a picky eater, and she practically ate the entire thing! My daughter had never been there, and she kept asking me how I knew about it since we don't live in that area. It was a perfect choice for a great occasion."

"This place has great food, big menu, great service. The only down side is it is so dark, you will need a flashlight to read your menu.
The place is obviously meant for it's bar scene. It has numerous bars, lot's of lively folks (loud).
I had a mother's day brunch. The younger part of the group was happy, my mom was unable to hear or see (not good for old people).
I had fantastic lobster benedict, a spicy bloody mary, and yummy beans. I didn't try the potatoes which looked kind of mushy.
I would go back with my honey."

"What a waste of my time. Not Rokerij. It was great!

"Back at Rokerij for their fantastic New Mexico style entrees. Large portions, vibrant flavors and set on the plate so that what you are eating is recognizable and not hiding in sauce. Our waiter was patient and refilled our bread and drinks without our having to ask. All of us had ample take home. Next time I'm trying the small plates!"

"Took my son and wife here for his birthday. His choice.
Everyone was very nice and helpful. Our waiter (sorry I forgot his name) was extremely helpful. He advised us on each dish we asked about and helped us make our choices. I had the Ahi, chose the Bok Choy and Green Chili Potatoes. Son had the prime rib, his wife and a salad and my wife had a mexican dish. Everyone was very happy with their meal. We had such a good time eating and talking with each other. We had a memorable evening meal. My wife and I will be back soon to try their lunch menu. There are many specials that are offered on Sunday I would very much like to try also. The green chili stew sounds very good. Go see them you will enjoy."

"My wife and I visited Phoenix from the east coast and had heard of the Rokerij from some friends that live in the Phoenix area. They told us the restaurant was one of their favorites. We can now attest that every aspect of our meal was outstanding. We had a southwestern baked garlic appetizer special that was terrific, followed up with dinners selected from their southwestern specials."

"Disappointing experience. Appetizers were unique and excellent. Beware the free chips and guac - they're not complimentary.
Main dishes were hard to distinguish just warm food slathered with cheese. Server was a dud and that always had a negative impact on dining experience. Not friendly, not helpful, clearly did not want to be working there."

"the food is always outstanding -- but spicy!
I would eat pretty much any plate on the menu here. We had two of the sirloin special with chili's (awesome!) and a carne adovada that our third had as her breakfast with hotel eggs the next morning...all in all, fantastic."

"We are big fans of both Rokerij and its sibling, Richardson's. This was our first visit for brunch, and the menu was just as creative and delicious as dinner. We made reservations for 6, and the table was waiting (ice water included). This is a great way to welcome guests the minute they walk in. Our meals were perfectly prepared as always, and the first-timers in our party noted how relaxing the wood-fired aroma was as they entered the restaurant."

"New Mexican Enchiladas and the New Mexican Platter were both outstanding! Both the red & green sauces were excellent with the green quite a bit hotter/spicer. You'll need a to-go box for the platter meal. Wine by the glass at lunch was a nice surprise at $5. Terrific menu of options and prices."
