"My wife and I have been several times, food is always top notch.
I must admit I was disappointed with the presentation and taste. Even the garnish was lacking. Paying $80 for a couple drinks and brunch didn't seem like it made much sense. I had french toast and was not impressed at all. If I was rating my visit just on the food from this visit I probably would have given them 2 stars. Fortunately I've had enough pleasant experiences to give them some leeway, and my wife enjoyed her meal.
Definitely not a breakfast/ brunch spot for me. Will stick to an occasional dinner and that's it."

"I was taken in by the story behind Tastings -- sourcing local food, boasting a top notch wine list and the "award-winning" mac and cheese. The atmosphere was classy yet casual. My date and I were seated in a cozy corner but the column blocked our view to the golf tournament on the bar TV (maybe that was a good thing). For someone looking for large portions and a cheap date, this is not the place. The food is thoughtful and artful which means smaller (appropriately-sized) portions with a higher price tag (quality ingredients). Our server was attentive to start then when the crowd picked up, we had to flag him down for another round of drinks."

"I almost don't want to share how much we love Tastings so that it doesn't become TOO popular! Always a great time. Be prepared to expand your palate with an open mind as this isn't your meat and potatoes place. The menu changes with the season which is really nice and most plates feature at lest one ingredient that is harvested from a local business. The wine list is unbeatable as well. You're going to spend some money if you "do it right" so be prepared. A no holds barred evening will run around 2 hours if you take your time and come to about $150 for 2 people. However, it is worth it."

"This was an unexpected find. Really good food and a good atmosphere to have a nice dining experience while trying interesting wines. The host made every effort to make sure we had an enjoyable time (sorry I forgot his name) and I wish all restautants had someone like this to oversee their dining room. THe food had good flavor and was both interesting and well presented. The lamb and the steak were cooked perfectly. I expect this to become a regular spot."

"Waitress pushed a cocktail she said was not sweet after we said we do not like sugary drinks. It was served rimmed with a very sweet graham cracker crust. We are not foodies and although two of us ordered a salad (which we were told was not enough to share although it certainly could have been) we went straight to the main course and waited an hour "after" the well portioned salad came. I kept reminding my friends that the portions would be small but never dreamed how little the servings would be. Two of us had chicken, two pork which the waitress claimed was her favorite meal. Really? It tasted okay but was dry which we ask about before ordering. Ordered the special dessert to fill me up. There are too many places to go again."

"Have to say we really didn't enjoy the place. The food was all so fussy. Overly fussy. I felt like I needed a translator for the menu. And then my entree was just ok. The fish was overly salty and the accompaniments unnotable. The best parts were the cheese platter and the dessert.
I would have loved to enjoy the local food without the fuss.
A foodie might love this restaurant but I didn't."

"The dining experience was wonderful overall. The Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was wonderfully served in balloon glasses, and the wine was at the perfect temperature. The entrée was delicious, but was a little bit of a tease as I would have liked a whole rabbit leg, or at least more of those delectable rabbit morsels.
I really enjoyed the sweet finish tasting flight and really enjoyed the lightly frizzante rose'."

"We don't usually take the time to write reviews or do surveys but just HAD to make an exception. We visited Tastings for the fourth time last weekend and, to no surprise, we had a wonderful dining experience. My husband, fourteen year old daughter and I enjoyed a pleasurable dinner together. Besides delightful to the taste buds, the food portions were, as always, reasonable and allowed us the opportunity to try a couple of dishes without feeling like a gluttons! The atmosphere was upbeat without being rowdy and our waiter (who we are always blessed to have) was friendly, knowledgeable and had perfect timing. We just wanted to thank the entire staff from hostess and chef to bus people for a delightful evening."

"We started our dinner with a great Bordeaux and a cheese platter. Both were phenomenal so we held out great hope for the entrees. We were even talking about or next visit. However, once the food came, we changed our minds. Not that it was bad, but I expected some flavor. There was very little. The skate cooked in saffron butter sounded yummy but literally was flavorless. The cod was cooked perfectly but flavorless. This is one of those restaurants were there is no salt on the table because of the chef's ego that it is seasoned perfectly. I wanted to love this place - they use local farms and really fresh seafood. But I just didn't love this place."

"Although the food was very good, the wait service was awful. Our waitress disappeared for lengthy periods of time, drinks never replenished. At the end of the meal we had asked for dessert menus from the young lady who had brought some of our courses over to us. She replied that our waitress would bring them. That took another 15 minutes or so. Another lengthy wait. When we were finished with our meal we say for an eternity waiting for someone to bring the check and by that time the place was faiy cleared out ... Pur waitress was once again AWOL. It finally arrived and the 6 of us in our party agreed it was some of the worst service we've had in a place with such good food. So, kudos to the chef and heads up to mgr to get better wait staff"

"My husband and I have been to Tastings twice, and we love it! This time we stayed for dinner and requested the 5 course chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. Although they weren't technically offering the tasting menu, the chef created one for us anyway. And it was amazing. Each course offered great flavor and texture combinations. My favorite was the deconstructed lobster roll. My husband's favorite was the rabbit dish. And the wine pairings were fantastic and didn't overpower some of the lighter courses. Dessert was amazing - a trio of chocolate, gelato, and a lemon tart. We left full, happy, and raving about our dinner all night. Shawn, our server was really wonderful and we appreciated all of the attention. We can't wait to go back!"

"The menu at Tastings is limited, but good. I went with a small group for a special occasion. We were given a lovely table in a semi- private room that was nicely decorated with wine bottles, barrels, decanters and other wine related items. The interior of the restaurant as a whole is attractive and welcoming. Our waiter was very pleasant and helped us to choose the drinks and food items he thought we'd most enjoy. We had the 5 cheese tasting plate as an appetizer and everyone in our party enjoyed it. For wine lovers they have a number of wine flights. One member of our group tried one and was very pleased. Overall the experience was good, but service took far too long with no clear reason."

"Went there for Valentines dinner and had the 5 course meal paired with wines. Everything was phenomenal and the wines were perfectly paired with the courses. We made a reservation and they were able to seat us immediately upon arrival despite being packed. I will definitely be going here again."

"A creative menu with an innovative approach to wine tasting (3 flights of wine base upon a theme). The menu theme is farm to table with definite French and Italian influences. Overall, my wife and I were very impressed with both the presentation and flavors of the food. An added bonus is that the price point is lower than what one would expect to pay if the restaurant was in Boston. The maitre d' was very good, but service overall was a bit confused (I was served an appetizer I hadn't ordered, but it was fixed and I wasn't charged). In short, we were very pleasantly surprised by Tastings and will be back!"

"Excellent food and wine. Service was outstanding. The only complaint that I have is that we have been trying to go to this restaurant many times to enjoy these 5 course chef special only to get there and they never seem to have it which is very very disappointing. They never have it during times when "events" are happening at the stadium and NO Saturday. So with that said its only a couple of days a week. Which makes it very difficult for couples with children to get out and enjoy this which again is extremely dissappointing because the basic menu is incredible!"

"There was a bachelorette party that was a little bit loud. Typically when we have been to Tastings, they have placed parties like this to the side behind the curtain in order to contain the noise.
I asked for my burger to be cooked medium rare but it came out medium well; way overpriced for what we got.
There was nothing "chocolate" on the dessert menu...can't understand how you can leave a whole genre out of your dessert list. Big miss there as we ended up going next door to the Godiva shop.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, but for $160 for two people we expected more.
Fortunately our waitress was excellent. :)"

"This was my first dinner @Tastings and it will not be my last. My date and I decided to have each a couple flights of wine along with a few appetizers rather than a standard dinner. The Harvest Board was a great blend of pates, jams, salted meats, fruit, nuts and cheese and i highly recommend for 2-4 people. The calamari was also well prepared. The wine trios for each flight offered a good contrast, my favourite was "the road less travelled" flight. If you have to experience Tastings you're definitely missing out on a tasty treat."

"I had dinner with my brother here on Friday and we had a really nice meal. Nice selection of wine, cheese and food for everyone (I was able to enjoy a vegetarian meal). We were too full for desert, but sat for awhile with our bottle of wine and really enjoyed the atmosphere."
