"Ole Tapas has been and contiinues to be one of my top 5 favorites in the Wilmington-Newark area. Don't let the modest facade fool you. This Spanish restaurant has it all. The wine list is superb and is full of Spanish wines that are not your typical offerings. Trust me, there are a lot of tasty offerings on the list. If you aren't sure, ask your trusty waiter. They give you a choice of wine glass size too, so you can try several wines along with your multiple tapas. The small dishes are especially good for allowing small groups to have a taste of their friends' favorite dishes as well as their own. It also allows one to experiment with dishes outside of your comfort range. There's a lot of awesome flavors on the menu. Enjoy!"

"Had a wonderful lunch with Mom and a friend. Got to try some new dishes Pinchetos (chicken, pineapple, chorizo skewers) and some classics-Gambas (shrimp & garlic & Seta Confrit (mushrooms with black garlic and onions) YUMMY! But of course, we had to have the pitcher of Sangrias. What an awesome way to spend Cinco de Mayo. The service is always great-Thank you Christina-you Rock!"

"After 4 visits this restaurant now becomes one of our favorite places for Spanish tapas. Definitely better then Philly's Amada. Everything we had was FULL of flavor and delicious. The BBQ Duck was outstanding. The service is great and the ambiance is nice and quiet when we are their around 5pm, but could be louder later. We live in Baltimore, Md area but make trips to Newark 4-5 times a year just for a taste of OLE Tapas. Wish they would open something similar closer to us."

"Excellent, warm, freindly, knowlegable customer service, except our drinks sweated all over the otherwise beautiful wood table all night and no one offered to wipe the table. The food was mostly excellent, except one Tapas was way too salty. The round booth we were in was very, very nicely cozy and intimate...very comforting and romantic that way. However, it woud have been prefferable to seperate the noisy group crowd from the quite dining crowd. The deserts were out-of-this-world delicious! However, our sangria had little to no alcohol and was very expensive.It also had small bits that clogged the straw....take my advice, just ditch the straw. Overall, very interesting, but expensive experience."

"Though the geographic location is not elegant, the interior of the restaurant is fine and the food and service are superior. As with any tapas restaurant, having enough people to justify ordering a wide variety of dishes is important. Our moderately-priced wine was excellent and again, the service is great."

"This is my third time at Ole, and it has always been great. This time we had the paella, which was truly excellent. I want to commend the staff for going "above and beyond" in accommodating one of my guests who is gluten and lactose intolerant; the servers graciously and cheerfully helped her choose specials tapas for her, thus making the dinner an enjoyable and delicious one for all. My out-of-the-country, well-traveled guests were so impressed with, and so enjoyed, the food and service. And I have to say a special word about the incredible hot chocolate, which I now have every time I go to Ole, and which was a bit hit with my guests as well."

"I haven't been to Ole in a while. Its still a great place to go. Service is always impeccable, the food is amazing and the wine list is tasty and different than the usual around here. I don't know a lot about spanish wines except that they are excellent. This is a fun place to come with friends, as that way you can try more dishes, have some paella, etc. I recommend this place highly as one of the top 5 places in Northern Delaware."

"The food and service were superb. All the tapas were delicious, especially my gambas al ajillo. The portion sizes were spot on. My husband and I were very impressed with the wine list and ended up deciding upon a 1998 Spanish tempranillo which was drinking extremely well.
We were accompanied by our 5 year daughter. The staff were very accommodating and offered to make up a special meal for her.
I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and family and would definitely return."

"Our second time here, and even better than the first (which was outstanding). Ole Tapas is becoming our favorite place. Great food (we are tapas fanatics), fantastic service, and an interesting wine/bar variety. If you go, request one of the circular booths in the front as they are both more comfortable and, if the situation calls for it, more romantic. The environment is subdued in lighting, but there is a constant din of conversation (which is not at all annoying). We have officially tried all the tapas entres and cannot pick a favorite...they are all (mussles, clams, octopus, duck, etc. etc. etc.) great! Save room for dessert and plan on the Tres Leches."

"What a fabulous night for the 5 of my friends. It started out at the bar with delicious margaritas & sangrias. The meat and cheese tapas hit the spot while waiting for one of the guests. Seth, our server, was fantastic-humorous, timely, and a cutie pie. Dinner was in the back room with Christina as our server. She is the one we request all the time. Tried some new dishes this time-the duck with jalapeno cornbread and the roasted vegetables were on the specials menu. Both were melt in your mouth with explosion of flavors."

"Once again, this place ROCKS! Awesome food and service. This was my 3rd visit. I tried 3 new tapas this visit: crab croquettas, coconut gambas, & the chorizo with a brandy reduction sauce. All of these dishes were excellent and tickled the taste buds."

"The menu has been downsized considerably from my last visit about a year ago. There is still a nice tapas selection, but half the meat dishes consist of charizo, I'm guessing as a lower cost alternative to a variety of meats. Everything was still very tasty, service was effecient."

"WOW- What an awesome restaurant experience. The service was phenomenal. Special thanks to Cristina, Shannon, & Scott. The hummus was creamy deliciousness.
