"We Dine out a lot. We try many different styles of restaurants, both high end and low country. We appreciate and seem to have fun no matter what the style. But every time we go back to F. Scott's, we always agree...they are the best in town! Food is always wonderful, inventive...and fresh. The service staff has always made us feel special, are very knowledgeable about food and wine. My wife always jokes that she feels like we are on a weekend trip to another city, whenever we dine here. The live Jazz in the background is always enjoyable. We had Chocolate-Pistachio-Cherry Ice Cream, that was simply put...The Best! And why not...It's F. Scott's!"

"My friends and I went there after watching the Great Gatsby and as a graduation celebration. It is a beautiful place and transports you to a different time. We got there a little early so we grabbed drinks at the bar. Highly recommend the Lemon Drop and the Perfect Peach Martinis. Live piano was playing and the bartender was great. I heard about the "Dine after 9" so it worked perfectly to go after a movie. Our waiter was awesome. I had the Lamb and risotto. It was amazing so delicious and tender. For desert we all shared but the best was the sorbet, strawberry, basil, and peppercorn. It was so good."

"We live about 1.5 hrs from Nashville and were wanting somewhere to go for a nice dinner. We usually like to find small places where only the locals know about... but often end up a a chain when cramped for time. I found F. Scott's in an online search when looking for a restaurant with a band... When we arrived for our preferred late night reservation, we were met by the valet. We were 10 minutes early and watched the jazz band in the bar for just a few moments while our table was prepared. Our table was perfect... far enough from the music to enjoy but not be too loud. The server was polite and very helpful. The food was very good and you could see and taste the expertise of the chef. We look forward to returning with friends."

"The outstanding service is what really sets this place apart! Waiter made sure every part of the dining experience was perfect. The food is really good here too. Good southern standards and some unique dishes too. Try the lobster and jalepeno waffle!"

"We are from out of town and wanted to go somewhere and hear good jazz while we ate a yummy meal. This place excelled at both of those things. The music was great, and the food was phenomenal. Plus, our server went out of his way to make our experience really fantastic. I would highly recommend F. Scott's to anyone who lives in Nashville or is just there visiting."

"Not even a question of where to go for special occassions. Since discovering F. Scotts, this is where I take my wife, and kids (when appropriate). We always find a unique seasonal menu with layers of flavor regardless of entree selection. If you want to enjoy the music however, you need to arrive after 7 and sit in one of the two front rooms. Back room is shielded if you want more conversation friendly dining."

"So glad we went with our concierge's recommendation. This is such a special place. They made us feel like we were regulars. The service was pitch perfect, the farm to table menu was delicious (especially the Halibut and beautiful Chopped Salad). We were impressed with the presentation, and how well our server paired each course with a great wine. The live Jazz music coming from the Lounge was a major bonus."

"We have not been to F. Scott's in a couple of years, mainly because we moved out of the neighborhood. Went back a couple of weeks ago, and thought that everything was as good, if not better then we remembered. Service was a highlight, our waiter(Ian?) was as good as I've ever experienced. He made us feel special. The food was wonderful...especially the rabbit cakes. Sorry we don't live closer. You pay for the quality, but it's worth every penny."

"We have only been to F Scotts for dinner and to enjoy the fabulous jazz, so going for Easter brunch was a new experience. We were very disappointed. The food was only fair. My steak and eggs benedict had very little steak. The lobster bisque was barely warm. My husbands pancakes were fair. My son's chicken tenders looked like they were from a fast food restaurant. And the price...$12.50 for a mimosa! Plus, if you wanted some biscuits, you had to pay extra for that as well. It wasn't worth what we paid and I would not return for brunch. The cost was double what it should have been."

"We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday and hearing Beegie Adair. The food was excellent, and the server was very attentive and took care of our every need. Also the serving of the courses was well-timed for us. We did not want to be hurried and enjoyed pacing our evening between food and conversation. And we managed to get a table in the lounge just when we needed it. Of course, Beegie was great, as usual.

I especially appreciated being able to plan the evening on-line; your website was very informative and easy to negotiate. I also got helpful communication/reminders as needed. Thanks again for a great evening."

"Food is always great with local produce! Easter Brunch was fantastic. Loved the lamb Sausage wrapped around a farm fresh egg! Steak & Eggs Benedict was Excellent (wish there was a bit more steak). Other 2 dining partners enjoyed the Chicken & Waffles. The Chicken was Crispy nad very tasty. Wondered if it was fried in bacon grease, bit it was not greasy at all. "We visited Nashville a few weeks ago, and when asking around for a perfect anniversary spot,we kept being told to go to F. Scott's...and are we glad we did! Didnt know what to expect in Nashville, having never been there before, we have alot of incredible restaurants to choose from in Denver, but I can honestly say...none of them have anything on this place. We felt like we were there most valued guests, right from the start. Steve, the Maitre'd was so welcoming, he knew we were celebrating, even talked to us about restaurants he knew in Denver...we felt our table was especially choosen for us. The service continued to be great. Informative/always there, but unintrusive. Very friendly, yet sophisticated.Food was perfect."

"Food portions were incredibly small for the price. My oyster app for $11 was 2 oysters. My rabbit for $32 was 4 bites. The waiter did not introduce himself his response he does not give his name (Peter) unless asked. I found that rediculous. After dinner, jazz was nice in the crowded bar, but I won't be returning."

"I asked for a quiet anniversary dinner and got exactly what I wanrted. Our server was helpful but unobtrusive, the food was wonderful. Recommend the scallops (perfectly cooked and elegantly presented) and my flounder was just righty. Even the seemingly simple flatbread appetizer was a cascade of flavors and textures. Everything was a delightful surprise."

"When one comes to a bar/restaurant that is noted for fine jazz music, one doesn't wish to be seated as far as possible from the notable jazz music. And I mean as far against the farthest wall. This table should not exist, but my wife didn't want to fuss about reseating. The waiter didn't know what was the construction noise we kept hearing - odd but we forgot about it. Waiter was very patient when taking our drink order and everything came out in a timely manner with the exception of the entree which seemed slightly delayed - probably because you're supposed to enjoy the music for a bit. Food was of good quality and fairly priced. Proper lighting and decor for a special birthday with my wife. I recommend the bar for music and wine."

"F.Scott's is our "special occasion" go to because I know it will live up to my high expectations. Whether it is chef's specials or a hunk of beef, the food is great and it takes a great deal for me to say this because our daughter owns a restaurant and our son is an executive chef who happens to cook THE best tenderloin in the universe!We take friends there and they always say, "we never knew this was here" and then go on to experience a wonderful time from the wine selection to coffee finishes. Please F. Scott's don't ever change. We have been coming here for 22 years with moves to South Carolina, Philadelphia, Detroit (amazingly good restaurants there) and Texas, in between so we have experienced the best in many different locations."

"Went for Valentine's Day. We were seated immediately which I appreciated. It's a pet peeve of mine to make reservations at a restaurant and then have to wait. I ordered scallops, and received three on my plate that were about the size of a half dollar. The vegetables were excellent. However for a person who can never finish a restaurant meal portion, it felt strange to have such a small portion on my plate which I could finish in addition to a salad and dessert. We saw wonderful attentive staff and a manager who was doing his best to make sure everyone there was having a good experience. Our waiter, however, was inattentive and had an attitude. We've definitely had worse dining experiences, but we probably will not return."

"I took my girlfriend to F. Scott's for Valentines Day. Though the price point was something we could not normally do, the occasion along with my beautiful date was justification enough.
I made reservations, and upon arrival was seated right away despite the lobby being full.
From the gentleman that greated me at the door, to the hostess that seated us, to the server that stayed with us through out the evening, we were treated like royalty.
The atmosphere was very elegant with the live soft jazz flowing through dimly lit dining area. The dinner was unbelievably amazing. Every attention to detail was paid by the chef in each plate that was delivered.
I had the beef tenderloin while my date enjoyed the scallops, both were impeccable!"

"We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is divided into several sections. We are seated in an elegant dinning room, but felt too far from the jazz bar, so we moved in there and really enjoyed it. We arrive dearly so there was no problem switching ( the bar is open seating). Get there early if tou want to be seated in the bar. They monitor the numbers in the bar and there is always a crowd later in the evening. A special treat include a eight yer old boy ho played a set with the trio. He was phenominal!"

"I enjoy the atmospher and the music. The food was good but could have been hotter, it was served more of room temperature. Other than that we enjoyed our night out at the restaurant and hope to return sometime soon. Thanks for a pleasant night our waiter was awesome too."

"This is an excellent restaurant with great food and superior service. It was the perfect choice for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. However, it is quite pricey and if you plan on having a couple of drinks, you'd better start saving up."
