Aja, a modern Asian Kitchen, is located in the former Emeril's location in Buckhead. This two story environment consists of a private dining room which seats up to 50 guests, a 150 seat patio with views of the Buckhead skyline and sprawling lounge area where guests can enjoy dim sum, signature mai tai's and more! The restaurant is the home to a 10 ft brass Buddha that arrived straight from Thailand. Come enjoy all the 20 cuisine of the far east regions at Aja.

"I'm not sure I would have tried this restaurant had it not been Buckhead restaurant week. However, I TOTALLY would have been missing out!!! The food was absolutely AMAZING, the atmosphere was energetic and fun, and the staff was so friendly and helpful!! I will definitely be going back!!"

"Went there for the $25 Buckhead Restaurant Week Prix Fixe menu, it looked good on the net, but being the last day they were out of certain items. Funny to see that 90% of all $25 menus had chicken either/and salmon in some sort of way. We opted out of the 3-course. I had the Dim Sum (almost inedible, a great idea though for an "all you can eat" for $15). My wife had the Eggplant/Chicken entree...she liked it. Our drinks were somewhat iffy...her cosmo was too sweet and loaded with cranberry juice, mine a simple vodka martini with 3 olives, was a bit more than 1/2 full when the olives were out of glass. Servers charged us for stoli, even though we did not ask for it..not nice!! She was hard to find even though they were very slow."

"Music's too loud. The Restaurant Week prix fixe menu was mediocre at best. We were a group of 4, and tried everything on the prix fixe menu. Overall consensus? WAY too salty. The wonton soup--oversalted; the papaya salad-- oversalted (too much fish sauce?), the "seafood" salad- skimpy on seafood, generous on salt. Did anyone bother to taste the seasoning before sending out the dishes? The waitress never asked on the salmon preparation, so it was way too rare for us, the beef ribs--too salty and the crab hot pot was again-- TOO SALTY. Dry pineapple cake, "Japanese" donuts were really like sub-standard beignets. The meal ended on a high note, however, with the rice pudding. Tasty. Finally. We left thirsty with ringing ears."

"The food and service is always very good. I have been there several times, but this was the first time for the other people in my party. We ate from the resturant week menu, so they didn't get the full experience but they enjoyed it also."

"The bar is beautiful, but the dining area felt cavernous. The music was so incredibly loud we had to shout to engage in any conversation with our friends around the table. The music was not appropriate for the Thai atsmosphere and dining experience we were hoping for. It is a beautfiul place, but the music ruined it. If you want to dine in a night club atmosphere...go to AJA. Staff was very friendly and accommodating."

"Like most other Here to Serve spots this place is a club and a restaurant in one. The noise level can get a little out of hand as the night drags on. The night we were there it was very busy and the service was a little off and slow. The food was good. The crab hot pot was full of real crab and the wonton soup had a nice broth and overall flavor. The grilled salmon was top notch with just enough sweet flavors to not over power the fish. I loved the rice pudding to finish. The wine list needs a lot of help. If you want a little bit of a show and do not mind the noise with your dinner then check it out."

"We had high hopes for this restaurant based on the menu. In the end though, this restaurant was essentially like all of the other "Asian" or "pan-Asian" restaurants we've been to in Atlanta. In an effort to distinguish themselves or be "edgy", they did things like coat edamame with chili powder, and add chili powder to miso soup. Really? They miss the point of edamame, which is to be clean and neutral. Miso is not meant to be spicy. Sometimes you can go to a restaurant and happen to just order the wrong thing, souring the experience. That was not the case here, because my wife and I ordered six different courses in the fixed menu for restaurant week, and a host of appetizers for our kids. 5/6 courses were subpar. Desert was poor."

"I am very pleased to provide an enthusiastically positive review for Aja. I went during Restaurant Week. I had the Beef Tartare, Shellfish Salad, Crab Hotpot, and Donuts w/ Chocolate and Passionfruit glaze. The tartare was excellent. I enjoyed the horseradish cream that accompanied it immensely. The salad was slightly underdressed and obviously sat out before being picked up with a server, but was still adequate. The crab hotpot was so spicy, eating it felt like exercise. But that was a good thing in my opinion. Also, it was LOADED w/ crab. Which was notable, especially when some restaurants skimp during prix fixe. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere, music and service. Not perfect. But I recommend without hesitation."

"We had terrible service. Very rushed with courses coming right on top of each other. Restaurant was very busy and tables were so close together that we had conversations with people on both sides of us. "I have to say I was a little disappointed. I figured that Aja would be very attentive to mine and my family's needs, especially during Restaurant Week, but that was not the case. I think the service could have been MUCH better, considering we were paying a flat $25 fee for each meal at the table. Not only was the service terrible, but we were there for about 2 hours total. We were so hungry by the time each course arrived that we literally ate all of it in 5 minutes, and then proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for the next course. At the end of the meal, everyone got a dessert plate but my mom. She sat there waiting and waiting and waiting to no avail. We finally got up and left. Not impressed."

"Atmosphere is beautiful but stereotypical. It's as if they chose anything stereotypical Asian and hung it up. The brass Buddha from Thailand is beautiful, however, some may argue you do not use Buddhas for decor! Food was tiny and mediocre. The Wagyu beef tartar was delightful, full of flavor and beautifully served. I enjoyed the seafood salad and the yakitori tuna entree was tiny, but the salmon was cooked perfectly. I still think Aja is over priced and also pretentious in their display of Asian culture. It seems as if corporate was like, "let's put together ever Asian fad we can think of and create a menu around it."

"Being that this is a current hotspot, reservations don't seem to mean much. We were told that we would have to wait for about an hour because our party was 1 person larger than the reservation, but later was told when we were planning to leave and go elsewhere, that we would have had to wait anyway because they didn't have any tables ready. We were very upset with the situation as we were out to celebrate a friend's birthday and had plans for the rest of the evening. Luckily the situation was quickly remedied and the experience turned out to be great. We're really glad we decided to stay and allow them to change our perception of this place."

"Fabulous food, incredible decor, great service -- what more could you ask for? The menu is really unique and very extensive. We were blown away by the huge Buddha statue in the main room -- the lighting, colors, etc. were so exotic we felt like we were in another country. Although we had a reservation, we did have to wait a few minutes, but at least it was worth it. We will definitely make AJA a must-stop on our next trip to Atlanta."

"Valet was extrordinary, the personal touch was great and like none other. Service was great and food was outstanding, I had the duck and it was tasty. We ordered a variety of apps and out of all we ordered the wings were the most diappoining they tasted like they were unthawed in the microwave,very fatty and not flavorable. Otherwise the night out with the girls was great. Thanks for everything."

"First off I want to say this was a great place and I really enjoyed it. We did have a small set back initially though. We had reservations at 7:30 the Saturday before Valentines day, we arrived around 7:15 expecting to sit at the bar until we were called. Right before 8 I approached them to see what was going on. They admitted to making a mistake, apologized and seated my date and I right away. The food was outstanding! Some of the best asian food I've ever had. We started off with the best lettuce wraps I've ever had then the main course. I had the Lobster Shang Hai(HIGHLY reccommended!) my g/f had kung poa chicken that was amazing as well! With friendly staff, EXCELLENT food, we can't wait to go back!"

"It was our first time visiting Aja and we loved it! It was definitely a happening scene with a great menu selection -- not overpriced and all of our food was great. "My wife and daughter (who was home from college)eat dinner before a show. The food was very good, the service was good. There should be a bit more lighting either at the table or strategically placed on the floor, we had to light candles and use the waiters flashlight to see the menu. I would also suggest adding a complimentary offering like bread/butter while waiting for soup/salad

"The space has been beautifully transformed. First impression warmed by the back-lit glow of the alabaster bar. Surprisingly lively bar scene on a Thursday evening. Large, long, cavernous dining room over shadowed by a huge Buddha. Noise level, between the piped in music, and overflowing bar noise, too excessive for dining conversation. Food was rapidly delivered, fresh, colorful, and spicy. Wait staff sufficiently attentive without interfering."
