"Food was delicious! Server was friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed for 3 hours enjoying drinks, appetizers and our entrees and didn't feel rushed. Can't wait to go back!"

"I am an out of towner, and asked our concerige for a good sushi restaurant. She recommended Tsunami. This was an outstanding dinner. The sushi rolls and sashimi was fresh with nice presentation. Others at our table were not sushi eaters and they had the teriaki salmon and chicken and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend, but would make a reservation, so as not to have a long wait."

"Tsunami is not your typical sushi house. It is so much more! And while the sushi is, in my opinion, the best in Salt Lake (sorry Happy Sumo) the other more unique menu items steal the show. The mussel shooters are to die for, and their jalapeno and habanero sauces go well with anything!"

"After just giving birth I was craving for sushi, which I got. I was disappointed in the poor knowledge of the server. He was selling wok/hot dishes, which is great if ppl don't like sushi, but almost no word on the sushi. We selected an a la carte selection of fish for our nigiri, and the server did not know what we were talking about when giving him the japanese names that are on the menu. Sushi came out in a ok time (I was worried my new born would wake up). Not very personalized."

"We have only been there twice the first time was a great experience on all counts, both times used opentable, was seated immediately while a handful of other patrons were waiting. This time, even though seated immediately, we had to wait for our waitress for about 5 minutes, placed our drink order which took about 10 more minutes to arrive, and dinner order was about 35 minutes from time of order to eating. they even brought us edemame while waiting at no charge. the kicker is it was not extraordinarily busy, compared to the first time we were there. The waitress was pleasant. It seemed they were understaffed in the kitchen/bar."

"We have not been huge fans of Tsunami for the following reasons:
Extremely small sashimi portions for the price.
Relatively slow service. The wait staff was prompt and on top of everything, but everytime we have been, there was a 30 minute wait between ordering and receiving our order, and we go on weeknights, so that to me is not acceptable.

"I was able to take my Valentine out to Tsunami and used OpenTable to make the reservation. We were running a few minutes late and the staff could not have been more gracious over the phone. My wife is not a lover of seafood, but there was a couple of things that she could eat. She loved it. She even tried the baby back ribs that were superb. We both had chicken dishes and loved it. The desserts were out of this world. I've been here several times with work related events, but never with my wife. It was well worth the price and the ambiance was spectacular. Our server did an excellent job as well."
