"This was a great place to choose for a birthday. The food was outstanding. We had the beef tartare appetizer, and half down of oysters (west coast/blue point). The main dish we had 16 oz ribeye + the smoked gouda tater tots. OMG. My wife and I both wished we had another stomach so we could fit more food in!! Great place!!!"

"The service was terrfic and so was the food. The management is extremely accommodating/considerate of special requests. I loved seating in the back area across from the kitchen --- separated from the heart of the restaurant with quiet comfortable booths that allow you to have conversation and enjoy the overall experience. I will absolutely return and suggest this restaurant to others!"

"The Meat Market outdoor patio on Lincoln Road is great for people watching and relaxing over delicious food and fine wine. The steaks are perfect. The sea bass was perfectly cooked. We were never rushed, even though we were there for many hours."

"Dinner here was divine! We had outdoor seating and the food was fabulous. No one rushed us and we enjoyed people watching. Both my husband and I got the artichokes and they were so good. We also both got small filets and they were perfect! The staff was very friendly and accommodating (thank you Larry!). I would highly recommend this restaurant when in South Beach!"

"Wonderful expereince here. Our server, Edy, started us off with a great smile and was very knowledgeable of the menu. She took great care of us from start to finish. The Hamachi, as well as the Tuna Tar tare appetizers were great. My buffalo filet was rare and perfect, topped with very tasty mole butter. The roasted bone marrow was divine! Baby roasted beets with pistachios...mmmmmmmm. My husband had the best seasbass of his life. He raved. We ended with the molten chocolate cake and it was fantastic! Love it here!!!!!!!!!"

"when we ordered the steaks we weren't told or asked if they should be seasoned.. I don't think a 65 dollar piece of meat should be so so so seasoned... we sent them back and the 2nd order was better but the filet on the bone was rare and not medium..the staff was great but the steaks weren't all that... We have had better"

"Upon a strong recommendation from our server, I ordered the Buffalo Tenderloin. Let me tell you, it may have been the best thing I have ever tasted. I love steak and this was the most flavorful piece of meat I have ever eaten. The chile & espresso rub with the mole butter definitely enhanced the flavor and the meat was cooked to perfection. If you go here, you better order this. It was well worth the price."

"The Meat Market was fantastic! We had first eaten there in 2008 and couldn't wait to go back. We remembered the Creamed Corn with Truffles which was a signature dish and it didn't dissapoint. We shared the Tomahawk Steak which was excellent! We can't wait to go back when we next come to South Beach."

"The hostess service was terrible. This restaurant is 95% attitude. The staff gives an air of that the patrons are the lucky ones to be "fortunate" to dine here. The food was average at best. Our $55 ribeye was not cooked to the temperature we ordered and they tried to fix it the ribeye was hard and tasteless. The $25 lobster Mac n' cheese was all cheese & Mac and very little lobster. My husband & I are true foodies and enjoy fine dining & fine wine and don't mind splurging when the meal warrants it. The last thing we want to pay for is poor attitude & poor food. Maybe Meat Market should focus more on the quality of food being served and cut back on the attitude. Our server who was from Louisiana & the bottle of Faust cab was the most notabl"

"We were frequent guests at Meat Market, but our last visit this weekend was disappointing. The food was less good than usual (my steak was over-done, the sauce had pieces of unmelted butter etc). The service was also below the level we experienced before, with rushed food delivery, and bringing us the bill before we asked for it. Also, I find the corking fee of $35 way to high."

"Mixed review- great food, great location- dont eat here unless you have 2-3 hours to kill. I was running 10 minutes late for my resv and the hostess told me they could not hold my 7:45 resv, if I'm late the next dining time was 10:15- i rushed to the restaurant to make it there just 5 min late and when I gave my name the hostess tells me there is JUST a 10-15 min wait for my table- (why make me rush then??) Fine- so I sat down at the table and our "waiter" came over.. i used quotes because the "waiter" was only seen 3 times throughout our entire meal- someone else brought the appetizer, someone else brought the entrees, the manager filled our water and gave us the dessert menu and the waiter was gone for 30 min at a time. Overall- Meh."

"While billed as a "prime steak" I found the N Y Strip to be a little tough, grisley and lacking in flavor. Not prime quality. Service was good, happy hour drinks are priced right, and the ambiance and location are good. The sides were very good."
