"NYC is by far the most exciting city in the world but with all our wealth and culture we can't seem to get a top notch Mexican restaurant. Compared to even a Taco stand on the side of the road in LA, this restaurant is fair. I was brought the wrong soup but it was quickly changed out. We ordered the spicy guac. but it was not very spicy. Mexican in NY is simply a disappointment however this restaurant was much better than most."

"None of the dishes are authentic or even very good despite that. Carnitas should be crispy cubes but here it is soggy like an over soaked lechon pork roast. I had my soup for 30 seconds and they came over with the entrees and just laughed while asking me if I was done with my soup. Even their signature table side guacamole lacks the ripe red tomatoes and white onions used in Mexico. SO, average at best"

"We like Mexican food but none of us like tequila so three of us ordered strawberry daiquiris after a long wait, we took one sip and we agreed they did not taste right (tasted like tequila instead of rum was used). We asked our waitress to ask the bartender to use rum and was advised that he did, We gave up on the daiquiris 2 of us ordered beer, other ordered a Kaluha. Another long wait and were advised they did not have Kaluha. Luckily the food made up for the cocktails. Guacamole was made fresh and delivered to our table. We asked were we supposed to get chips with it and only then was advised that they were out of chips and making more. It was worth the wait. Guac was delicious and everyone enjoyed their main course."

"Sinigual was a good Mexican spot, fun, reasonable and high spirited. Having gone there more for a business lunch it was too loud for that purpose. Service was friendly and responsive and the fresca drinks were especially good and unusual. Not a Manhattan vibe, but it is a good spot to dine in if you are in Midtown."

"Great restaurant for midtown east. The food was very good but the service wasn't. We were a party of four and had 6pm dinner reservations for a tuesday night. Not much happening at that time of day and week yet the wait staff rushed us through our meal. Our appetizers were barley finished before the table was cleared and had to wait for our main course. Not sure what the rush was all about. Overall it's a good restaurant for food and location."

"We love this place and come here quiet often, but our experience Friday was a bit of a miss. Service was spotty and not up to its usual standard. The server was hard to track down for water refills, second round of drinks and check. He did not return to see if we needed anything once we got our food and in general was not very friendly when we did see him. I could understand if the place was packed, but we were here early enough that it wasn't. Also, the wine list was a mess! They seemed to be out of a handful of wine. After we tried to order 3 different bottles, the manager came over with a menu and pointed out several bottles that were crossed out IN PEN on the menu. Maybe an off night for a place we normally love..."

"I order the appetizer that they make at the table but they did not make it at the table they brought it over to the table already made and it was so salty and I felt like it was left overs??... Very disappointed about that as I like to watch them make it that is important part of the meal that is y I only gave a 3 stars.

"The food here is excellent! I had dishes with chicken and steak and they were both cooked really well. I am very picky when it comes to eating steak in restaurants, but I loved it! I also never had yucca fries as tasty as the ones here, great job!"

"We stumbled on this restaurant through Open Table and are very happy that we did!! We loved the food and the margaritas - especially the Supercharged Cadillac and the Grilled Pineapple margaritas. My husband loved the Chipotle BBQ Shrimp and the BBQ Ribs. The tableside Guac was delicious. I enjoyed the Tres Mariachis platter and their twist on the Fried Ice Cream. Our service was excellent!"

"I was a able to get a reservation for two at 8:30p on a Friday. It was a good thing because it was packed. There was a short wait upon arrival but we were seated in a timely fashion. Our server was polite and was a font of information from suggesting drink orders after learning our preference to other menu items and specials we might also enjoy. By the end of our meal, the dessert menu made a second appearance and it was more than welcome. The dishes were delectable and the drinks were well mixed."

"We ate here on the Sunday of holiday weekend and our poor server got swamped with a bunch of tables as it didn't appear that management planned to be busy the night before a holiday and he was covering the whole dining room. Aside from that, he was very pleasant and described all the specials with great detail, but once he got swamped we lost his attention almost completely. I ordered a drink from the runner that got our food and I had to track down our waiter to get it after we were almost done our food. When I did get it, it was the wrong drink. I probably wouldn't go back because there really isn't anywhere to grab a drink afterwards in that neighborhood."

"A great upscale place for Mexican food. The service was fantastic and the food great. The place is very loud with a thriving bar scene but the vibe is is fun. While it might not be the best choice for a quiet romantic dinner it old be hard to beat for a casual night out."

"Love the food and the service is just wonderful. It was very crowded and I was seated at a table near the bar, because it was a business lunch, I wanted a quieter table or a booth. When I asked the girl who sat us, she was delightful with no fuss at all she escorted us to a booth. The waiter patiently explained different lunch options and was very agreeable when my client asked for something that wasn't on the menu. I will be back and soon."

"Sort of "avant garde/nouveau" Mex cuisine, aimed at a non-Mex urban/Yuppie (is that still a valid term?) clientelle. The sort that puts mangos and pineapples in stuff where they shouldn't be. Food tasty notwithstanding. And the tortillas are home-made, the salsas are good and the portions large. Service very good. All in all a "good" spot; will likely return. Note: I didn't check any of the boxes in item 2; the restaurant is in midtown Manhattan and there are so many other places that would better fit those check-boxes,that I didn't feel Sinigual outshone them enough to check a box. That doesn't mean that in another geography, Sinigual wouldn't make several of them."

"The food is consistently good, bravo to the chefs and cooks behind the scenes. Unfortunately it is ruined by servers disappearing due to a fragmented system.
We were seated and waited for 10 minutes to order drinks and kept looking at the food menu. 25 minutes in we were drinkless and hadn't ordered yet. When the server returned he asked us where our drinks were (as if we should know). He ran to the bar to pick them up, and the mixed drink's ice was already melting. He had forgotten.
Our food arrived missing a condiment item that we had asked for but our server could not be found. I walked around trying to find him and ended up asking a busser. Even getting the check was delayed by 10/15 minutes."

"have been to this restaurant many times in the past but this time was very disappointing --- the service was very slow and was performed by a variety of people including busboys, the food was lacking (some of the 'sides' were not 'up to par') and the lobster enchiladas were much too fishy for my taste. Very Disappointing!"
