"After requesting a window table, we were accomodated in about 10 minutes. The view is magnificent. Our server was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The brunch menu is extensive with numerous tempting entrees. The champagne flowed generously.After many visits, Las Brisas, continues to provide a delightful dining experience and we will continue to return."

"Absolutely the best. Never been disappointed when I have gone for lunch. Parking is tricky. Do not park on the street! Use the Valet on the south side of the building. Scallops are wonderful. Salmon is great. Ask for a window table and wait is necessary."

"Always my Favorite Place! Service, Food, and Ambiance Outstanding!
At times you need to wait for a window table! This is only on request when you arrive at the restaurant and check in for your reservations.
When you make a Reservation, Its ONLY for a Table in the Restaurant! So Make sure you Request one when you check in!"

"We have been to Las Brisas a few times before, and made plans to meet another couple there on a Sunday. We were surprised to find a brunch menu, and the quality of the food and service were astounding! Starters included a fresh fruit bowl and postres (mexican-style danishes). That was followed by either soup or salad, and then we had entrees - grilled mahi-mahi over potato galette with a side of eggs benedict for me; grilled lamb with a side of shrimp for my friend. Lastly, we each were served a small slice of cake for dessert. All through the meal, the waiter kept pouring champagne. All in all, a very enjoyable 2 hour meal, and we looked out at the Pacific Ocean. Great all around!"

"This is the best Mexican Fine Dining in California! The employees are all great and very courteous, the restaurant is located on the cliff of Laguna Beach the best location in town. This is a must for all that want a special, memorable, romantic evening with someone special. On November 13th 2009 I asked my fiance to marry me at Las Brisas. I will always remember that night and return for anniversaries and romantic weekend getaways. Thank you Las Brisas!"

"The view is priceless, but the restaurant itself has started to become rundown. The service was mediocre and the food was just average, considering the prices. This place needs to reinvent itself. They need to update the interior (and patio too for that matter) and update the menu. I'm not sure I would return unless this happened. There are too many really great restaurants in the vicinity that are much better."

"It was a wonderful day! We made it an outing for my mother, who lives in an assisted living home and an outing away is uplifting. She is in a wheel chair and you were most accommodating AND we had a window seat, which made this an event for her. Thanks for all this. Price of margueritas seemed a little high, but maybe we are "out of the loop" on prices."

"A beautiful setting above Laguna Beach with excellent service. Very nice presentation with a decent selection of seafood and Mexican fare. The food was good, but not outstanding. "Since it was my girlfriend's birthday and this is one of her favorite restaurants, the experience was very nice. The food was delicious and the waiter was very attentive and pleasant. I do think that the wine I ordered should have probably been decanted for a bit (it was an '03), as it did need a bit of time to "loosen up" - that was probably my mistake. Overall a super nice place and if you want a romantic evening with your lady, you can't go wrong at Las Brisas."

"Making a reservation for Sunday Brunch is a must. We got seated in a semi private room with a nice partial ocean view. It was really a nice touch. We had a baby with us and she gets excited but the noise level was energetic. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Desayuno Ranchero. The ranchero eggs were the best I've ever had. "My husband and I recently moved here from NYC and my family was visiting for the first time. The food was spectacular and the view was amazing...but what really made our experience wondeful was our waiter, Robert. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years including The Waldorf=Astoria in NYC and I am very picky on food quality and service. "The view at Las Brisas is always spectacular. Tonight the food was just as good. Everyone had some form of seafood, which was quite fresh and cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque was good, but nothing special. The swordfish chef's special was lightly breaded and cooked just right. The Alaskan halibut was as light and tender as ever. And the Frutas del Mer (shrimp, scallops, lobster) looked beautiful and tasted even better. The desserts were delightful."

"We had reservations but upon arrival chose to sit on the patio. Beautiful day, beautiful view. We love to watch people, and people with dogs...and there was even a wedding party at the nearby gazebo. The patio is open and airy (complete with heaters) yet intimate and private. We were barely aware that people were at neigboring tables. We had multiple people that were attentive to us during our visit. The service was great and the food delicious! The staff and level of service they provide is consistent. We brought guests for a first time visit (it was only our second time coming)and they absolutely enjoyed it. One of my guests commented 'Hats off to the chefs" -the 'omelet bar' is to die for! The warm waffles were a hit as well."

"How we loved Las Brisas! What a find! The food was wonderful, the service fabulous, the view beautiful. Upscale Mexican cuisine. We had the fish enchilada and chicken enchilada plate and the red snapper with veracruz sauce. This turned out to be a favorite restaurant for us after this our first visit. We will return every time we are in the area. Love the Laguna Beach area and this restaurant was a treasure. Our server was very helpful, giving us recommendations that were very helpful. Lovely place!!"

"The valet parking lot was full so we ended up driving around and found metered street parking - it was helpful that the meters now allow you to swipe a credit card in lieu of carrying around coins. The restaurant atmosphere was jumping - it was busy. We arrived 20 minutes late but because of our reservation, we got seated right away and had a nice view of the ocean. The waiter was very patient with us as we could not decide what drinks or meal to order - he made some nice recommendations for both. The drinks were strong - they do not skimp on the alcohol, the food was tasty and there was a generous portion provided. Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert. Good ambience and service."

"Our first experience dining here was the Sunday Brunch. The food and champagne were quite good, but overpriced for the portions served. The atmosphere was very nice and the view even from the cheap seats was well worth the long drive and expensive meal. The restaurant was very crowded, but clean and comfortable. Don't even think about attending a brunch without reservations. The service was excellent. The waiter was very friendly and attentive but he had difficulty with English. The major problem was parking. The lot was full and private parking lots in the area wanted $10 for parking. We were lucky in finding a metered parking space on a local street within hiking distance of the restaurant. Overall, a pleasant experience."

"I was impressed with our experience at Las Brisas, after reading many negative reviews. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday, because we love the beach, and he loves seafood and Mexican food. Our meals were absolutely delicious, and we fell in love the with the guacamole! The view of the ocean is, of course, gorgeous as well. It was a romantic setting, although I was not happy with our table location due to SO many staff members walking by our table nonstop and sometimes almost hitting my boyfriend or I in the heads or shoulders. We also waited a very long time for our bill, but it was a busy Saturday night, so I tried not to get too bothered by that. Overall, loved it and will refer it to friends and family, as well as return myself."

"Overall, the food, ambiance, and service were good. The hostesses could be a bit more friendly and even smile a little would help. Didn't find them to be too welcoming for a restaurant of this stature. We were fortunate to have a window table, not sure if I would have enjoyed the restaurant as much without one. Although busy for a Saturday night, we felt 'packed' as we tried to exit the restaurant...a lot of confusion and traffic by both employees and guests trying to get around, due to a lot of tables in the restaurant. Even the patio seemed 'packed' and not very relaxing.

Service was excellent and genuine. I enjoyed my enchiladas, but would have appreciated the server 'warning' me that the green sauce was hot when I ordered it."

"The location is beautiful, the valet was quick and efficient, it's busy, so even if you make a reservation, plan on being patient. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved the guy who seated us, Mr. Ziady. I told him that we were celebrating my friend Jennifer's birthday and he brought out a special tray of desserts with a little candle for all of us. I loved that even though the restaurant was packed, we didn't feel rushed ever and I know people were waiting out the front door for a table. "When the booking was made I told the restaurant that this was to celebrate not only my husband's birthday but our silver wedding and asked for a table with a nice view. "Although we were a few minutes late (traffic, toll road entrance hang-up), we had to wait almost an hour for our table. Was not aware of your parking lot, we paid $40.00 to park two cars. Other than waiting and driving hiccups, our time at Las Brisas was most enjoyable, we will be back soon."

"What can I say, we went for the view and ambiance and we rewarded with the best! One of the most beautiful scenes in the world. The seafood I ordered was overdone, my friends fish was perfect. The people who ordered steak were not thrilled but like I said...good.

"We had one GREAT waiter and one lousy waiter. When one of our party was late, she was told we did not have a rservattion and she could look around on the patio if she wanted. Whoever she spoke to at the front desk was rude. She had driven quite a distance to be there and left without fiding us. We were indeed there, and did have a reservation.For some reason, the staff at Las Brisas did not properly record the fact that we were there, resulting in our frind missing brunch and me getting an email wondering why I hadn't cancelled. This was the 2nd time for me to be there and I probably won't go back."

"I've heard for nearly a decade about how wonderful Las Brisas is....romantic, breathtaking, fantastic food.

I must say, I was not wowed. The food was overpriced for what it was, the ambiance was a bit outdated and the valet parking situation was a nightmare (backed up into PCH). The service was wonderful and the view was beautiful from the patio. But, other than that, it had a chain restaurant feel. No one in my party finished their food. My gazpacho tasted like spaghetti sauce.

I will not be returning. If I want to pay $30-$40 for an entree, I will go to a restaurant with more character and much better food. I'll save Las Brisas for sunset cocktails beforehand."

"Las Brisas is a classic restaurant. The kind of place you can take a date, your best friend or even your mother and they will all be impressed with the food, fine service and a stunning view of Laguna Beach. "We had several colleagues in for a conference from out of state. They wanted to eat somewhere by the beach so we went to Las Brisas. We made reservations for 6:00 for our party of 5, and arrived at 5:30 to request a table with an ocean view. They were able to accommodate our request and still seat us by 6:00. The view was gorgeous. The food and service were outstanding and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I ordered the "Playa del Sol", which our waiter recommended. It was excellent."

"The food was very flavorful. The snapper was excellent, but the halibut was slightly overcooked. The view at Las Brisas is breathtaking, and sunset was spectacular. Our waiter was excellent -- attentive but left us alone when we wanted to talk among ourselves.

"When we arrived via a beautiful ocean view we were told we could not have a window table because we had not requested one. We were seated at an uninteresting table with no view. My husband asked the waiter for a better table. I told the waiter I had requested a window table at "Open Table" website. I was informed that unless you directly telephone the restaurant, your request from Open Table is not honored. We were then given an apology for the misinformation and promptly reassined to a lovely ocean view table. "We took our kids and this wasn't a good restaurant for kids. I called prior to going to see if they had a kids menu. They said yes. When I got there they said no. But they offer several dishes. Most of them weren't mexican dishes no bean and cheese burritos. The drinks were too strong. Either way the view was lovely. My dish and my other adult friends dishes were amazing. "What a wonderful dining experience! It is pricey, however you get your money's worth. The portions are generous, the food is perfectly seasoned and prepared. We enjoyed the grilled salmon, blackbean soup, and seafood enchiladas... We finished our meal with the mixed berry tostada for dessert. The presentation was as beautiful as the food was tasty. The service was attentive and responsive to requests. The view is superb from every angle. The noise level went up as the restaurant filled up, however you can still enjoy an intimate conversation at your table. We can't wait to return to Las Brisas and it will be a defnite destination spot anytime we're in the Laguna Beach area."

"Had a lovely time at Las Brisas last weekend for a family brunch to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday. The food was great, the service couldn't have been better and the view out to the waves and cliffs of Laguna Beach was just perfect. All things considered, the $33/person price for the brunch was a value. Four course meal with champagne and coffee included."

"4 of us arrived at 5pm sharp for dinner - we were seated promptly and in a requested area for the ocean view. The food was tremendous, portions were a bit to large but fantastic flavor - I did not want to take food home nor waste it~! The appetizers were excellent - calamari , guacamola and chips / salsa,

3 of the group had fish - all thought it was tremendous.

The waiter was fantastic - the staff that delivered water and bread were a bit slow and not consistent to check on needs."

"This place is spectacular. I made reservations and when we arrived asked for a window seat. It was no problem and we were seated within 20 minutes with an amazing view. We had my 81 year old mom with us so we were a little concerned about noise but were quickly relieved to find it wasn't an issue. Our waiter was VERY attentive without being obnoxious. All three of us were very pleased with our dishes. We were also pleasantly suprised at our bill. Three people ate and drank alcohol all for under $100. It was truly a wonder experience. I highly recommend this place."

"I have been to Las Brisas on several occasions. It will be some time before I go back. The service was dismal and the food was marginal. I ordered the Halibut special, which was dry and somewhat tasteless. The overall service of the restaurant was very poor. "The food and service was wonderful, but we were set by a large group of 40 +/- people, including 15 or more children. Actually, the children were not the problem, the intoxicated adults were the problem! They were so loud that we could not even converse among ourselves. I complained to the server and plan to write a letter directly to the restaurant. Our celebration for our daughters 19th birthday was ruined by these inconsiderate people. They would have been better suited for a pizza parlor with free flowing beer!!

P.S. Your noise rating does not have an appropriate decible to select!!! Why don't you have noisy!!?"

"The dining experience itself was fantastic: a great brunch with very nice waitstaff. There was a great variety of foods offered, including personalized omelets, enchiladas, fresh fruit, sausages, meats, and awesome sweets. However, we needed to wait 20 minutes to get a table, even though we had made reservations. Since I like this place so much, I'll give it a one-time pass...and hope this doesn't happen again."

"Everything was excellent but the service could have been faster. We had 5:30 reservations in order to get to the pageant of the masters early. We left the restaurant at 7:20! "I noted in my reservation that it was our 38th anniversary but noone mentioned it. Also, the dress is very casual for a higher priced menu. "We started with a drink in the bar. The waitress spilled some of the drink on us. And she charged us for a refill on chips. We got inside and had a great table, except for the fact there was a screaming baby there for most of our meal. The waiter said the fish of the day was salmon. Then brought out Sea Bass and tried to tell us it was salmon. Later he came and appologized. Then brought us there cheapest dessert. We will not be eating there again."

"i think we picked the wrong day (Saturday) - it took us 15 minutes to turn into the parking lot/valet from PCH - it was packed and extremely noisy - our reservations were for 5:30 and i asked for a window table (made reservations a week prior) when we got there we had to wait 20 minutes and then we got a table in the corner that was a strange configuration for 4 it was a booth that they added 1 chair to so really akward.
Our group decided we wouldn't go back to Las Brisas until the winter - too crowded - couldn't talk and it appeared there was a lot of confusion amongst the staff - i believe las brisas booked reservations that they couldn't accomodate...."
