"We had a great dinner for my dad's 82 birthday. Everything is top notch at Drago Centro. The only problem with the beautiful room was that is was quite warm."

"Ambiance was great, service was ok. I ordered the risotto, way to salty I had to give it back and reordered something else. I ended up ordering the Grilled salmon which was terrific. Great bar scene and great for groups of people to visit here."

"Over all I would rate this place as good, food was good but not exceptional special for the high prices I expected more for my buck. Nice setting, modern decor, service was very good though automatically tacked on 20% gratuity to our party of 6 as oppose to the usual 18%. I am not sure if I would come here again, not so much for the prices but I simply wasn't blown away by the food and had more of a feeling of over spending and not of satisfaction."

"Food was great ! Service was good, no complaints. The menu changes so I was unable to order what I originally wanted but that's ok. Will have to keep an eye on the menu online and return to try more. Overall, fantastic. Will definitely return."

"The restaurant experience can be perfect, but then can get off on the wrong foot when the host/hostess has an attitude or tries to give you the worst table possible when the entire restaurant is empty. When we asked for a table away from the patio, our hostess was not pleased. She made snooty comment and then gave us a beautifu booth. People are willing to take a "bad" table when the restaurant is packed and it is the only available table, but when you're given a bad table when there's availability of something better, it's plain bad business."

"Actually, the food was really boring. I thought it was just me, but half-way through the appetizer I asked my dinner companion what he thought of the food: he said it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It looked pretty and was well-served. The pasta dish was tasty, but not worth the trip. Actually, the desert, though strangely served in a mason jar (as is being done these days) was wonderful, but not semi-freddo--frozen solid.
But the worst was the parking. The restaurant advertises one thing on its web site, and when we went to leave, the parking tab was $15.00! That is the most I have ever paid for parking at any LA restaurant.
The restaurant is beautiful, the service is very professional. But the food is a bore."

"Celestino Drago has made this his flagship. And a good one it is too. From start to finish it provides a comfortable dining experience. The food, service, ambiance, and welcome are as they should be. Recommended for business lunch or an enjoyable dinner. Excellent choice for pre-theatre dining."

"Another outstanding product from Celestino Drago-food was well presented, tasty and varied. Our waiter was superb as was support staff. Prices were high but fair and wine mark-ups were not exorbitant. The noise leevel was high til the crowd thinned out but not too bad for an LA eatery. We would defintely go back Thanks Ian Kramer"

"Whenever I work in the Los Angeles Office, I go to Drago. Their wine selection is very extensive, even the "by the glass" choices. When I was there the last time, I had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly. The portions allow you to enjoy an appetizer, entree and dessert. I am never disappointed!"

"Drago's is a wonderful upscale dining venue with both an impressive wine cellar and a impeccable menu that changes seasonally to ensure the best quality food, every minute attention to detail takes you on a journey as your food marries on your palate and makes you yearn for more. One of the most memorable meals I have ever had. I do have to say though, as far as service goes, I found all of the employees EXCEPT my waiter to be most helpful."

"Certainly good enough - but there a lots of good restaurants in DTLA now - so competition for my dining dollars is fierce. I'm not sure if the combined service, ambiance and food puts it on my "top-10" list. It's definitely convenient and consistent, so you can't go wrong if those two things matter the most. But for an overall excellent experience - there are interesting and entertaining options all around the Plaza to choose from, that I would probably visit first."

"This was our first, but not last trip to Drago Centro. Fans of the Drago Group, somehow we had missed this one. Salad of apples, lardon, candied nuts and frisee was superb and outshined the beet salad in flavor. Our guest enjoyed the misto. Branzino, Salmon and Tuna were all cooked to perfection, and their accompaniaments were spot on. The only disappointment was the coffee. We would have enjoyed dessert, but we were on a theater schedule. Definitely a foodie hang, and the service was quite good and knowlegible."

"The we shared a salad, I had seared tuna with roasted fenel and polenta, my wife had lamb loin, and we shared a dessert. All the food was excellent. The wine list is quite good with a large spread of wine prices. It is easy to find a good wine under $50. We had a Rosso di Monalcino for $48. They also have lots of good wines by the glass and small carafe. The carafes are 250 ML which would work well if you want to start with a white and finish with a red. The decor is rather stark with lots of hard surfaces. We went early after an Opera Matinee so there weren't very many dinners yet and it was relatively quiet. However, it is likely that it could be quite noisy if they are busy. It is convenient to the Music center."

"after a very poor start (with respect to service), things picked up. asked for butter 3 times before it arrived. waiter said he would get water, but none arrived for a very long time. nothing wrong with the meal, but drago is a big impersonal place. dishes are pretty but a bit soulless, like the restaurant generally. pastas are very good. there are so many interesting choices downtown these days. i would return, but not any time soon."

"1) The temperature of the meat was described as "tends to be on the rare side, so if you typically like MR, you should get M here" by the server. Unfortunately, the meat temp was a perfect M. That was a service issue and management needs to do a better job of training their servers. Aside from the temp however, the Lamb that was described to me as one they specialize in, was very tough and dry. I did not enjoy the lamb and would never order it again. 2) Pork Cheek. Very tender and cooked nicely. Unfortunately, the sauce turned the dish into a salt lick. Terrible. 3) Pasta very good. Sauces, were ok to very bland. Mush risotto was terribly bland. 4) Gnocco fritto was amazing. 5)Great bread and olive oil. Overall, won't be back."

"This was my first time to Drago's. Everything was done very well. Only disappoointment was that the mushroom ravioli listed on their on-line menu was not available. Service was a little underwhelming- had to ask for a napkin. Server (not the waiter) gave me the salad meant for my dining campanion.Other than that, very good."

"We have always loved Drago restaurants so we were inclined to love Drago Centro-- the food was delicious and the space is really nice. We had a short window to eat dinner ( and not feel too rushed) and then get to the theater within an hour. The staff was very accommodating, never pushy, the meal was paced perfectly even though our time was limited and they made sure we could catch the shuttle to the Music Center with time to spare! All in all a terrific experience."

"Although the food was good at Drago Centro, my expectations were much higher having dined at Drago in Santa Monica (now closed) and Celestino. I was also a bit disappointed by the restaurant's interiors after reading the stories about the famed American architect who designed the restaurant and the amount of money spent. The pasta items have great price points and plenty of variety. And the wine list, whether you order a glass, carafe, or full bottle, is quite spectacular."

"Parking is validated which is great. Service was very good and the waiter was knowledgeable. Ordered 3 things: appetizer, pasta, and main course. Appetizer was the duck confit, which was incredible. Pasta Carbonara made properly and was delicious. The main course was the Jidori Chicken prepared sous-vide and was the only part of the meal I was not impressed by. It was executed perfectly but far too salty. I believe it may have sat in the brine for too long and it was almost inedible.
Overall I would recommend to a friend, but I would stick to the pastas and other items. Not sure if the other main courses have the over salting problem, but it was rather significant in my experience."

"My husband, two children (ages 9 and 11) and I came to Drago Centro on a Friday evening. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was fantastic - as good as expected. The service was almost horrible. Our waiter, Darren, was agitated when we DID see him, and it took 22 minutes for him to even take our children's drink order. It took another 15 minutes for our wine to arrive. The food was superb - no complaints there - but we felt forgotten and like our table was an afterthought, which was disappointing. The bus boys were more attentive than our waiter."

"Food was really good, but the atmosphere was a bit stuffy for me. The server was very nice, but started off on a bad foot when she asked if we wanted "tap water" or something else. No, please just bring me the garden hose, really? The wine list was completely overwhelming. I must admit I am not a wine expert, so when we had to go through about a 20 page list, I was stumped. Maybe a short list for us less educated folks that would just like a decent bottle without looking through the $1000 a bottle Bordeaux list. Ironically, the couple next to us, returned their bottle of wine (which I could never bring myself to do, unless it had gone bad). This couple had no problem returning theirs while demanding to talk to the manager."
