"Went here for dinner on Mother's day, the service was a bit slow and lazy. Food was good but overall experience was below average. Wait staff was standing in the middle of the restaurant and talking, one waiter was scratching himself with the silverware he then set a table with that same silverware."

"We had a 2.30 pm reservation for Mother's Day Brunch. We were checked in around that time. Was very crowded. Our server was a nice lady. Most of the brunch items were good, but the salmon was dry They were running out of the food items, and guests had to remind the servers to replace them. Also they ran out on the main deserts which was disappointing. There was only some fruits left. We have been to several up-scale restaurants (like Scott's) before for special occasion brunches but there is always food there even till the last customer left. Hope this will not happen again at Scott's"

"We had a wonderfully relaxing, delicious mother's day brunch here. Very attentive service, fresh seafood, good variety of delicious buffet choices, including chocolate-dipped strawberries among the desserts! Afterwards, we went out back near the river and took some gorgeous family photos. Thank you so much for a memorable day! ...a grateful mom and grandma"

"We went for my mom's 80th birthday. Everything was marvelous except the hostess forgot to tell the wait staff that it was her b-day so she did not get to enjoy the complimentary dessert. That was disappointing, but it was still an enjoyable experience."

"The food is always excellent at Scott's but the service is hit or miss. Our server kept forgetting to serve us. I have had better service ther before but this time the service wasn't very good. I had to ask my server for everything I wanted twice or ask a different server."

"We celebrated our 22nd anniversary dinner here at Scott's. We have been long time customers to their Sunday brunch and Easter brunch and wanted to experience a dinner there. My husband loved his steak and lobster meal with crab cakes app and chowder. It was a very nice treat to ourselves. Thank you Scott's for the wonderful meal and enjoyable time spent."

"There were four of us, two couples. This was our third dining experience here. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Dungeness Crab Louis, and our friends loved the Bay Shrimp Louis and Wild Prawn Fettuccine. I enjoyed my Grilled Chicken Breast. It was a busy evening for the staff due to a wedding reception and the restaurant was getting full at our 7:15 pm reservation time. But everything went well, and we will be back again."

"Everyone in my party chose a fish dish. Unfortunately, I chose the Fish and Chips. I was in the mood for some comfort food. I did not like my food. The fish itself was good but the breading was blah. The fries were limp, skinny things of poor quality. The sauce for the fish was bazaar tasting. I requested some plain tarter sauce. My guests, and my wife were very pleased with their Petrale Sole and Scallops. The service was extraordinary. The Fish and Chips was not. The occasion was a big deal to me, meeting friends I used to know 50 years ago. I was disappointed...... not in the friends, the food."

"Per the review in the Sacramento Bee a few weeks ago.....their reservation /seating system is horendous. With an Open Table reservation and arriving 20 minutes early we reque sted outdoor seating we were given a pager and directed to the lounge. After waiting 35 minutes and drinking the obligatory lounge drink I went to the hostess and asked about our table. She said she had been paging me for 5 minutes. The pager wasn't working and the hostess proceeded to sit us inside. I said I had requested outdoor seating...she said outdoor seating was on a first come basis and we would have to wait longer. I said unacceptable and within seconds the manager had us outside. Makita our server deserves kudos and a 5 star rating. Hostess 0"

"We had lunch with our elderly mothers. There was a large group of people having what was probably an office lunch. They were very noisy. Although the restaurant wasn't very full, service was somewhat inattentive, unusual for Scott's. They should probably have seated us away from the noisy group, especially since there seemed to be lots of empty tables."

"This was our first time at Scott's and it was very good. We both had seafood dishes and they were both outstanding (sole and halibut). Service was also top notch. "My husband and I decided to escape to the newly renovated Westin, formerly Le Rivage. Scott's on the river is located at the hotel and what a pleasure it was. The food was so fresh and delicious. My husband had the salmon and it was so moist and flavorful. I had the crab tacos, usually an appetizer, and they were very delicate but flavorful. Our server, Kaitlyn, could not have been better. She was friendly, efficient and just a very nice young woman. She always made us feel like we were her only table, which we were not. We look forward to returning."

"My youngest son turned 21 this week ans wanted to find a nice restaurant outside Davis to go to celebrate. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.
He gave Zack the typical free dessert, but also gave him a house champagne to take home. That was very nice of him. Zack appreciated it. We sat outside with a view of the river. The gardens were nice to look at. Very good seafood, fresh and cooked perfectly. Overall, a very pleasant evening. I would go back.

We ordered a 4 course meal that started with crab tacos, crab bisque, spinach salad, and basil-mustard crusted salmon. The crab tacos had no taste, the crab bisque was served in a small cup from a cafeteria, the spinach salad was ok, and the salmon tasted like it was from Denny's. Overall, we gave a good rating for the oustanding service but there was no wow factor and dining pleasure for the price we paid for our meal."

"The location on the river is very nice. The brunch menu is not very large but what they offer is a very nice assortment. The quality of the food was excellent. "Tho I checked "Great for Bunch", we were disappointed at Easter Brunch. We invited a couple and when I saw the four 1/2" mostly fatty slices of prime rib that was put on his plate, I was so embarrassed. I had not intended to get prime rib, but waited in line a bit and asked for a slice. I too got a very thin slice(like lunchmeat), I managed to trade plates with him, saying I 'liked' fatty cuts :( My husband and I come often and and I've enjoyed your 'usual' brunch with other women friends. I would suggest not offering prime rib next time. Positives: table was ready and waiting for us at 2:00, staff/waiters were excellent, as usual, all other foods were delicious, as usual. We will bring guests in the future--but not on holidays."

"Our waitress was outstanding.The Skirt steak was the best I've ever had. The drinks were great , as well. Add all of that to a beautiful view with outdoor fire pits, well, it was just a perfect evening.Also, because it was my wife's birthday they gave us the excellent lemon cheesecake dessert AND a very good(Woodbridge) bottle of Champagne-compliments of the house.The waitress insisted on putting a lit candle on the dessert and wishing her a "Happy Birthday", even though we asked for it to go.Overall, it was one of the best dinners we've ever had in Sacramento in the 50 years we've lived here!"
