"We were disappointed in the service. We had made reservations for 10:00am and when we got there at 10:00, they said we would have to wait 10 minutes. There were no people sitting at the tables. The restaurant wasn't ready. We got seated and then other tables were waited on before we were and we had been there first. We had to ask for someone to bring us coffee, no one came around to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. Then when we got our coffee, we had no spoons."

However, carrots were very under cooked, and some of the home fried potatoes were undercooked

"We went to the Exeter Inn for the brunch, only to find they no longer have the Sunday Brunch! Service was so slow, it took us over half an hour for a simple drink and then another hour to be served 1 waffle and 2 egg breakfasts. Will never go back. Not only was it disappointing but it was expensive. Not worth the money ever again"

"Went there for Easter Brunch. The food was good not great and certainly did not match the price. The bloody mary was served in a small thin glass with a lemon wedge and one olive for $11.50. Perhaps their regular menu is better."

"It was our first trip to Epoch and it definately will not be our last. From the time we entered the restaurant/bar area until we left, the entire staff made us feel very special. My friend said she had been there for drinks and had brought groups there for dinner, but it was her first time for dinner and she loved it. It was by far a rare find and we love the fact that they do Farm to Table and boy do they do a great job. Our food was over the top in taste, the eye apeal was right on target and for us our server Carley made the evening complete. WE WILL BE BACK"

"We ordered two of our favorite dishes there, risotto with figs and pappardelle with rabbit; this time they were both almost inedible. In the first, the rice was overcooked; the second was so watery that...well, there was what appeared to be water at the bottom of the dish. The last time we were there and had the same dishes, and they were so good, we were told the head chef, Peter Agostinelli, was not there that night. We didn't ask if he was cooking the night of our misadventure.
Oh, both were severely undersalted. And we do not normally salt our food in restaurants.
The mussels appetizer was as good as ever. This raised the food rating from Poor to Fair."

"Mostly a good experience but staff seemed more distracted than usual. It took 15 min before someone asked us if we wanted to place a drink order. When drinks were full they kept asking if we were all set but when drinks started running dry the server went missing."

"The food is up and down at Epoch but seems to be back on track. They've increased the amount of vegetables they serve with entrees and cut down on the over salting which made for a delicious dinner. Drink service is slow (not enough bartenders?) and wait staff disappear for long periods of time."

"Went for Valentine's Day. Hoping for something special. Other than the rose petals on the table, the service was slow and it took forever to get drinks and appetizers. The best staff there was the guy who kept our waters filled.
My wife commented to me that it was rather lousy "last night".
Thanks Epoch. Or should I say, good bye."

"The best food and presentation ever at this restaurant, to which we have gone through its many incarnations (i.e., chefs). It's nice that wine can be purchased in 3- and 6-ounce glasses, the former allowing for multiple tastings and food-pairings. Sophisticated cheese plate too (better for after dinner than before). The food and service were so good that we didn't even use the discount coupon we had taken with us."
