The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.

"Guests attending Boston convention could easllly find Legal Sea Foods on Route 9 and easily return to their hotels afterward. Vey comfortable environment great for conversation with relatives. And the food was great. My guest loved the food and the environment and they really enjoyed themselves. Sunday lunch or dinner at Legal Sea Foods was a great way to start a convention week."

"Although our food was good... it was not great. The lobster bisque was not thick and lusious. It was very watery, as if they had to stretch it for more servings and added more milk. My crab cakes were delicious... but I had to ask for more sauce since they just drizzled a tiny bit on the plate. The fried clams were somewhat chewy. They had a great selection of oysters. The desserts were good... but again... nothing special. We were a party of six and our server was fabulous."

"Legal was the first to have a gluten free menu, and unlike other restaurants that offer 2-3 boring GF choices, Legal has an entire menu of yummy, savory, terrific meals to choose from. I love that I can get delicious seafood casserole, calamari and a Caesar salad that are all delicious and safe to eat. Service is A+++"

"We eat here often. Fish is always fresh. New menue.it was grad nite for local college so it was crowded. But if they take our money they should give better service. Oysters came out after salad. Long waits for first course.
Husband ordered jasmine shrimp w- little cheese & brown rice. Came out white rice& sooo much cheese. But we waited so long he would not send it back. New Thai veg & shrimp was excellent as we're steamed muscles."

"I trust the seafood at Legal based on what I have read about their testing and I hope the chain never takes this faith away from me. The food is not exciting but consistently good. I wish there were more wild seafood on the menu as I do not eat farmed fish and this severely limits the food I can eat in their restaurants."

"I had dinner with my wife and two teenagers on May 17th, 2013, 8 p.m. We ordered Shrimp Wontons, Lobster Bisque, Nutty Atlantic Salmon, Lemon Caper Grey Sole and two orders of Ciopino with jasmine rice.
Lobster Bisque was cold, it felt watered down, tasteless. Shrimp Wontons also had minimal condiments.
Nutty Atlantic Salmon and Lemon Caper Grey Sole were insipid, plain, with a lack of appropriate ingredients to bring flavor to them.
Fish did not even have salt.
Finally, Ciopinos were also incredibly stark, devoid of any elaboration. In addition, three clams were closed which means they were not fresh. Jasmine rice did not have salt, oil or any kind of condiments.

"First time visiting this Legal Seafood, but I have been to many other Legal Seafood restaurants in other towns. We went here with a group of 8, the waiter was attentive and the food as expected was great. Everyone at my table loved their main course dishes.. lobster, fried clams, shrimps, fillet and chicken. All of our dishes looked good and tasted even better. The only item that was a bit disappointing was the fried calamari appetizer which was served in quite a small dish and overcooked. We were pleasantly surprised though of the delicious steamed mussels that we had as an appetizer as well. Overall we enjoyed our dinner."

"Issue mostly discussed with manager and server:
1st time anywhere I have ever been served sliced raw tuna where the sharp knife Legal Seafood used to slice the tuna could not slice through the tuna because the tuna was filled with white sinewy material. The slices were still connected together. The preparer should have noticed this. I spent half my time eating the appetizer removing the sinew from my teeth and mouth. Will not order again. By the way, the next day I had the same type of appetizer at Outback Steak House in Bellingham, MA. The tuna was beautiful. If you want this dish in Framingham, MA, you might want to try the new Outback Steak House located there."

"We ate oysters, trout, shrimp scallops...all was fresh and well cooked. The service was excellent as it always is at LEgal. We had not been in the area in nearly 2 years...missed LEgal ..love it -highly recommend. Everything from servers to managers care about uests."

"The young man who served us was eager and courteous. I wish he had anticipated some things before we requested them; e.g., whipped cream atop the Irish Coffee; starter rolls; a tool to break open a lobster claw, clearing dishes in a timely manner.
With a full house, the noise level is too high. The piped music contributed to the noise, as well. I had to ask my friends across the table to repeat themselves far too often. Please install sound-dampening panels or other technologies, if you can. Atmosphere is important, especially when you're getting together with old friends you haven't seen in a long time.

"could have been a disaster ...jam packed when we arrived. We had a rez (made 2 hrs prev. via Open Table). We were told it would be a few minutes & we waited less than 10. Apps arrived promptly with fresh rolls. My mom had Cioppino which was bigger than her. The waiter generously tied her bib on her even! I had the salmon & they asked me how I wanted it cooked...nothing worse than dry salmon. Both were served piping hot. Enzo, the manager, was attentive making sure we had a nice experience. Considering how amazingly busy they were, I was completely impressed. By the way, for those that think it's expensive...you're prob accustomed to eating fish from Thailand/Phillipines (Red Lobster), the Walmart of the food world. You get what you pay for."

"We had such a fantastic meal! We both had to gardent salad to start. I have the swordfish which was the best I have had in a long time. My husband had the fish stuffed with shrimp and he ate every morsal. We both had a delicious dessert. The service was outstanding."

"Upon arrival, the restaurant did not have our reservation on file. I showed them my email confirmation so thankfully they honored it. however the host said this happens with open table quite often where the reservation doesn't show up in their computer. I don't know whether the restaurant was too inundated with so many people being there (i.e. it was Mother's Day).. They appeared overwhelmed with the crowds of people. I'm thankful that they honored my email. However, we almost didn't get a table. I'm assuming that since we received our 100 points that he eventually found the reservation. Maybe there's a glitch in open table with some reservations?"

"Goodness, the portion sizes of meals were small, especially considering their high prices. We were seated immediately with our reservations for three on a Saturday evening. The server was also prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. My meal of baked stuffed shrimp and broccoli and cheese was OK. The broccoli seemed like it was just warmed - not really cooked or softened at all. And another diner's spinach was so salty she didn't finish it. Conversation was also difficult at times due to the noisy environment, despite our being seated in a corner. I would not return there, as you just don't get much for your money."

"Living in New England the quality of food and prices for the food was high. Portion size was small. My wife compared the food and prices to sole in Worcester and we both agreed that Sole was a much better venue although it is smaller.
Reduce you prices and increase the portion size.
The salmon was over cooked. It may be a very long time before we go back.
We did like the reservation option and we where served immediately with no wait time."

"After bomber lockdown all day, we were in the mood for good food. We were delighted by the crisp, delicious crab cakes with savory sauce and enjoyed the stir fried shrimp,brown rice and vegetables, which can also be ordered vegan. It was poured from a Chinese takeout box on to my plate, which was kind of humorous. The salmon was perfectly prepared. Our waitress was about the best waitress I've ever had. She had a great sense of humor, much needed after our awful week, and she was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu. We had a delicious meal after the end of a truly dreadful week, and boy, did we need it."

"Service and Ambiance was good, however the food was average. The food lacked taste and was very much on the bland side. The quality of their fish was good, but it lacked flavor. Maybe I was looking for a bit more spice and kick in their entrees. Lunch portions were of good size. The food was out in a timley manner. The place was quiet when I was there, which is good at least during lunch times. Its a good spot in framingham, but I was looking for something with a lot more flavor."

"I went for a good lobster dinner. I ordered the baked stuffed lobster. I found the lobster to be overcooked, dry meat and stuck to the shell. The resturant was also very loud."
