"Food is hit-and-miss: some good dishes (scallops, although a bit overcooked), and some not-so-good (crispy tofu, where the noodles were really uninteresting). Flourless chocolate cake with banana ice cream is really good. Ground floor is more bar-like and a bit cold and sterile feeling. Upstairs, with the exposed brick and wood floors, is much nicer. Reasonable wines by the glass or bottle. Summary: not a winner, but there's not a lot of competition in that neighbourhood."

"Everything but the service, which was very poor, made our time worth it. However, taking 2.5 hours to serve three courses in a semi-empty restaurant, needing to remind the waiter of everything from the bill to taking our menu, and being served cold food, is regretable. It might be a one-time glitch but reflected poorly on the quality of service, and the overall restaurant."

"The food was great . But we had a reservation at 9 and they made us wait 40 min before we were sited. Which is fine , we understand is a busy time. What really bothered us is that one into our dinner they started to close the restaurant. Putting candles offf fixing tables .... And the waittter even gave us out check .... Which we thought eas extremely u respectful considering it was THEIR fault we were late for dinner"

"My boyfriend and I went to Kultura for dinner during Winterlicious. Everything started well as the waitress took us to a nice little table in a quiet corner. Unfortunately, we quickly noticed that this lovely corner was freezy cold... Despite fancy presentation, dishes were average to mediocre, with a special mention to my orecchiettes that were litterally swimming in an oil bath... Service was also poor. I got my (tiny and overly sweet) crème brûlée without a spoon and the waitress just disappeared. After 10min, I had to go and get a spoon myself... We also got the bill without asking - 9:20, on a Monday night, time to go??
This place is totally overrated. Too many good restaurants in Toronto to waste time and money there!"

"Voicemail 2 hrs before res asked us to confirm and said if we did not, or if we arrived late, table would be given away. We confirmed, and "live" person reiterated threat to give away table if late. Group of 4 arrived on time, but, surprise, no table. Invited to the bar. Several others arriving for 7:30 sitting were in the same boat. From this rocky start, things improved. Glasses of wine at the bar were comped, and we were given a table about half an hour later. Table service was swift and competent. Crab starter was straightforward but tasty; burrata was excellent; flank steak was nicely done tho' some potatoes a little underdone; sea bass was highlight of the night. Please note: Kultura is very noisy! Not for quiet conversation."

"This was my second time dining at Kultura. The first time I went the food was excellent, however this second time around, not so much. Went there for their Winterlicious menu. The food portions were extremly small and the food was lacking flavour. The service and ambiance was great, but the meal in general was mediocre. Additionally I had reservations for 8pm and was not seated until 8:30pm. Definitely not what I was expecting from one of Roger Mooking's restaurant. Very expensice meal for very little in return..."

"The ambiance was perfect for couples and groups. There's 3 dining floors so lots of room to divide the types of groups coming in to control the noise level. Our server needed to repeat what we've ordered because she kept messing it up. I asked for lychee tea, I got a lychee martini. Maybe start using a notepad instead of memorizing the orders? It doesn't remove the fanciness of the place just because someone is writing the orders down. I'd rather have that than have a confused person. The delivery of the meals were also wrong - wrong person getting the wrong meal. The desserts were bland and uncreative.Example: Creme Brulee or Cheesecake w/seasonal fruits.There were no fruits to be found and the desserts could have been delivered by Loblaws"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our night at Kultura! We came as a group of 10 and had fantastic Winterlicious meals (with a few "too tempting to miss" add ons from the regular menu - the scallops were outstanding!) The upstairs atmosphere was really cool and a pleasant surprise from the first floor, where it is a bit small. This restaurant is excellent for groups and the servers were attentive and all meals were served hot and at the same time."

I couldn't help but overhear her complaining to the guests next to me that "she was in the weeds." All-in-all : it was an complete disappointment!"

"Food was great but the service was horrible. We had to flag down a waiter to place an order. This was after 30 mins of being seated with no drinks. There were 3 other large tables on our floor and the kitchen managed to send our food in a timely manner. The wait staff didn't apologize and was not attentive. We had to ask for water 3 times before we received any.
If you're thinking of trying it for the food, make sure you've allotted at least 3 hours for your meal."
