Atlanta Grill
The Atlanta Grill offers grilled steaks, chops and seafood as well as Southern-inspired cuisine in a club-like, warm atmosphere. Large murals commissioned just for Atlanta Grill grace the walls of the restaurant & bar. The restaurant is also home to one of the city's most entertaining displays of vintage photographs featuring daily downtown life & various local leaders & celebrities. The popular "Cheater's Booth" accommodates five in an intimate table setting with privacy draperies. Seasonal seating is available on the veranda overlooking famous Peachtree Street. The Atlanta Grill received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and top rankings in the Zagat Survey.
The Atlanta Grill is located in The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta downtown at the corner of Peachtree & Ellis streets, within easy walking distance of many of the downtown hotels & the major office buildings.

"Third visit to this restaurant. The first time i had the foie gras and the short ribs. THe foie gras was good and the shortribs were to die for. second time I had the special appetizer tuna which was good and the purloo which was bland. THe third time i had the Atlanta grill salad which was very good and the shortribs again. they were disappointing The meat was very fatty and the sauce did not have the same amazing flavour or the same consistency. So it is variable what you order. the atmosphere was wonderful and the service impeccable. THe live jazz band was a special touch. Would be hesitant to go again"

"I wish I could recommend this dining establishment but despite the excellent service and extremely friendly staff, when the kitchen fails miserably on one entree out of two, I simply cannot give high marks to dining here. Pecan crusted lamb chops - a simple and basic dish to prepare - should be tender and cooked as ordered. Such was not the case here and while the appetizer (mussels) was divine, the Caesar salad was a disaster equal to the lamb: no flavor. My date's Day Boat Scallops were excellent but when one orders four dishes and half are of poor quality, that is not a place to frequent again. And it was my birthday to boot!"

"I requested an intimate table and we were greeted with a secluded table covered in rose petals! From that moment on they had us! Our drinks were terrific and our meals were flavorful. My filet mignon was prepared perfectly and well seasoned. My wife had the short ribs and said they were wonderful as well. A terrific choice while in downtown Atlanta."

"My friends and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, downtown Atlanta for the weekend, to see the Alicia Keys concert. We dined at the Atlanta Grill for breakfast/brunch. We had the bed and breakfast package. This was an excellent deal. The breakfast buffet was very exquisite, from custom omelettes to French toast. The atmosphere was beautiful. It’s the Ritz-Carlton, so we didn't expect anything less. What a wonderful restaurant!"

"I chose the Atlanta Grill because I knew it was quiet; So many downtown restaurants are noisy and i was hosting a business dinner. I wanted to be able to enjoy my company and discuss issues without shouting and being uncomfortable. My guests were very impressed and enjoyed it very much. I personally would like a more varied menu, as I don't eat seafood, and it was a little limited for me. I have been going there for many years and will continue."

"Though I asked for my steak to be made medium-rare, more on the rare side my steak definately came out medium to medium-well. It took so long to get my food I didn't want to ask for it to be re-made. Though overcooked, everything still tasted very good.
I went here a few years ago and in passing my server noticed my steak was over cooked (I didn't say a word) and he not only brought me a new one right away but he also comped the entire bill... that was excellent service."

"The service received while having lunch at the Atlanta Grill was not in line with the level of quality and attention to detail that I expect when dining at the Ritz Carlton. Upon arrival (about 10 minutes late), a team of 3 hostesses took several minutes to figure out where to seat us. The restaurant was moderately busy but far from at capacity. Once seated, we waited about 25 minutes for a server or water carrier to stop by the table even though several passed by our empty glasses constantly. After speaking with a floor manager, the service level improved a bit but was still unsatisfactory. Our food order (3 burgers) took another 45 minutes or so, and the food came out luke warm. Jafar, our 2nd server, was the only helpful person all day."

"This place is spectacular. I hadbeen there for brunch on our anniversary and for a few business meetings, but they absolutley made my birthday very special. "I enjoyed the downtown Atlanta view from the table wherein my guest and I were seated. The hotel personnel from the moment we arrived until the time we were seated ALL were professional, courteous and more than helpful to us. The food selection was superb! The were versed waiter and attendants supplied us with helpful tips on the sauces which were compatible with our food choices.It was cold on Sunday and I had to wait for car. The attendant was so kind to point out that there was a heater on the outside which was provided more warmth than standing in the doorway of the hotel.... Great info!I will return. Real soon!"

"The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. The servers were not overly attentive but were definitely available when needed. It was fairly slow at the time we were there for our romantic valentine dinner but unfortunately consideration was not taken prior to seating louder groups right next to us. Overall, dinner and service was great... just not as romantic as I was hoping for."

"We had a wonderful experience Super Bowl Sunday at the downstairs bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. The bartender was very nice & accommodating. Then had a great meal upstairs at the Grill & were so surprised not many diners out. We watched a good bit of the game at the bar before dinner then came back for coffee at bar which bartender made sure we saw halftime show."

"We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for a one-night birthday celebration/staycation (we live right up the road) and ate at the Atlanta Grill for Dinner and then brunch the following morning. We had driven by the 2nd-floor patio multiple times over the years and always wanted to try it, so we did - twice! At dinner, this is basically the hotel-version of a pricey steakhouse (think Morton's, Ruth's Chris, etc). I found the food to be good for a hotel restaurant, but not destination dining (there are better steaks downtown.) Service is not quick, and prices are indeed high - but this is the hotel restaurant in a Ritz, what are you expecting? Overall, it was pleasant enough. The breakfast buffet was pretty much standard hotel fare as well."

"I had the opportunity to dine at the Atlantic Grill in the Ritz Carlton twice on a recent business trip. The service was outstanding and the food great. I was with a larger group and everyone was able to find something to their liking and agreed the food was as good or better than any other restaurants we had considered dinning in from other dining experiences.
The meal service was executed with precision by Shawn. His expertise was evident and his suggestions contributed to a wonderful two evenings. His service rivals those of a private club."
