"Lindsay, our server, was exceptional.
Food should be better for $150 for two people. I had special-petrale stuffed w/lobster and creamed spinach. Fish was okay; spinach disappointing. Strawberry, rubarb tart was so-so. My husband enjoyed his halibut-but fresh halibut should be hard to screw up. Regardless, exceptional server and great location. We have been before and will return again."

"Overall we had a very nice experience. The view is amazing! The food was very delicious and nicely presented. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but that's to be expected in such a full restaurant. They did make a mistake on one of our meals, but they quickly fixed it beyond our expectations."

"I had a few customers with me and my co-worker with me decided on Redondo versus my choice Salty's on Alki. I was totally disappointed with the slow service from start to finish; the restaurant was only half full. But...I must give credit to a manager (not sure) that came around and new the score...provided free dessert in the end."

"Went to Mother's Day Brunch with my lovely wife. Staff was attentive and capable. View from the dining deck was great! The fresh oysters had a few to many shell shards in them for my taste. Probably because they are stacked on top of each other on the serving tray. The Prime rib was a little tough but tasty. We enjoyed our morning."

"We could not have asked for a better server. Paul was attentive and informative. I loved my dinner and will definitely go back. Pan seared halibut was wonderful. My husband was not as happy with his choice but is willing to go back and give it another try. Beautiful water front restaurant and it was busy!"

"My sister & I took my mom out for a special mother's day brunch. They were doing a buffet, which was SO much fun because we were able to try a little of everything. We had tons of crab legs, blackened salmon, all the classic breakfast items (the bacon was thick cut & super tasty) and we sampled from the desert buffet....pie, chocolates, scones,chocolate fondue......there was a ton of food! They were giving away tomato plants and complimentary photos which they printed out right there for you to all the moms. It was a lovely experience, we stayed for 2 hours and never once felt rushed by our waitress. Service was spot on, food was amazing, ambiance was just what we were looking for to treat our mom with!

"I had the fish and chips, just average. Husband had the $39 salmon lunch special. Tiny piece of salmon on top of small bed of corn and potatoes with a smear of something on the side. Certainly top dollar for what would have been a $20 meal at a comp. restaurant.

"Our party of three had the Maine lobster tail, the BBQ halibut and the Seafood Fettuccine and they totaled over $100 before tip. The lobster and halibut entrees were excellent, but the fettuccine, while tasty, was lacking in the quantity of fresh shellfish (lots of frozen bay scallops). For the price, the fettuccine portion was stingy and disappointing. Their menu stated that they were celebrating "Lobster Mania " but I didn't find any in my fettuccine."

"The service at Salty's is friendly and informed. The noise, when full of patrons, is almost overwhelming. The food was pretty good, but considering the price, quite overpriced. My wife had a nice cioppino, but a smallish portion, and I purchase the special Alaskan Halibut at $39 and received an ungenerous piece of fish, three boiled new potatoes and two pieces of asparagus. Needless to say, although the fish was tasty, I left hungry and disappointed. Will not return."

"Salty's at Redondo Beach is way overpriced. I do NOT recommend it. You should go someplace else for a good meal and a good experience. The quality and quantity of the seafood in our meals at Salty's at Redondo Beach was very low. The seafood was smothered in sauces designed to mask the fact that the quality was low. The views at Salty's at Redondo Beach are mediocre because it sits on a pier that extends into Puget Sound, so that the views from almost all of the tables are of the beach and the shore, not directly out across the water, so you do not see the islands or mountains across Puget Sound, you don't see the sunset, you see only a little of the sky. The service was better than the food. Shame on Salty's for cheapening its quality."

"Brunch was amazing, I took my boyfriend to Salty's to celebrate his birthday. The service was amazing as well as the food. They made his birthday very special for the both of us. We've agreed to go to Salty's brunch at least once a month."

"Go elsewhere! I had a late reservation at 7:45 and there were many tables available to put together for my party of 6. They sat us next to a curtain by the door. It was freezing! I had to wear my husband coat through the meal. There were plenty of tables mid restaurant and they chose not to accommedate us. The food was good but for $28-32 per entree the portions were super small and I am not a huge eater. My husbands plate had 2 shrimp skewers over rice and it sat on 1/3 of the plate. The plating was horrible, I could have done a better job. I took guest from out of town there and was quite embarrassed. I should have gone elsewhere. Gratuity added in at 20% for that they should fill the water glass without be asked constantly!"

"The food was very good although not enough. I stopped on the way home to eat. The drinks were dull and overpriced. We had Tangueray and tonic. The tonic was flat and the drink did not have that distinct Tangueray flavor. I would have ignored that (thinking it may be my palate) but afterwards, when we stopped to eat we were discussing our dining experience, the others agreed with me. I would not describe the noise level as energetic but more noisey. It was difficult to hold a conversation. Sadly the appetizer menue was far less than previous visits. In times past the appetizer menue was notably Salty's, now most Salty's appetizer items may be purchased at most restraunts.

"We went here for dinner while on vacation with our kids. It was not worth what we paid for it. The food was good, but not good enough to justify the price we paid for it. We're from Denver, and we get better prepared seafood there. That's saying something. I had the crab legs. They came out tender but the meat was all clumpy and flaky. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. The potatoes were a little dried out with no flavor and the vegetables had no seasoning either. My son had the kids salmon. He took one bite and spit it out. It was just bland and dry. He was really bummed e cause he lives salmon and I have never seen him spit out his fish before. We won't go back. But the view from our table was beautiful."

"We were disappointed with half of the 7 dinners..(I brought family in from out of town and was very disappointed with the experience.) The Giant Prawn special was a disappointment.. The 3 shrimp were fine.. But it was only half a plate.. The shrimp were served over a small amount of dried out rice and that is all. We go for Easter Brunch almost every year.. We will not be going to Salty's this year. Our server was great and the crab cake in the appetizer platter was amazing.. But everything else was mediocre at best."

"Everything was very good. It was a special occasion and though I did inform the hostest, she must not have shared it with the server. I also asked, in my reservation, for a table looking out over the water on the west side of the dining area. Sorry to say, that didn't happen. Oddly, even after I arrived 30 minutes early, before the rest of the party, to ensure that we would have a table in the area that I had requested on-line. None the less, the food was very good and the evening was wonderful."

"Food was good but way too pricey. I've been to quite a few places with waterfront views where the menus was far more reasonable also I would of liked to see more fish items available. Portions were small salad and soup extra. Went away hungry with a $110 bill ;-("

Definitely make a reservation and prepare yourself for a great seafood brunch - the eggs benedict were awesome, the crab was superb, and the chowder was heavenly. "My wife and I visited Salty's for a late dinner on a Fri night. We are return customers and have had very good experiences in the past. Our Server knew the menu well and was excellent. Music from the bar was a tad on the loud side to be able to have a conversation without raising your voice, but we did like the music genre. Overall we had a great night out as we have had in the past. We will revisit."
