"Friends from Seattle were in and the restaurant turned out o be a great choice. The food was good and there was no corkage fee for the wine we brought. (Sundays are BYOB!) They honored our reservation and gave us a nice table. The waitress seemed
overwhelmed but tried to keep up. They was also a private party so that might explain why the place was so packed. Overall, a great choice that was reasonably priced, with good food and a pleasant ambiance. Highly recommend!"

"I utilized this restaurant for a first time meeting with a lady and was absolutely delighted. I arrived early and waited at the bar. Every person who cam in seemed like they were from the neighbor, everyone knew everyone. The two young ladies work the bar were outstanding. Our server, I appologize I can't remember his name, was a professional with and 'A' rating. Se were there Saturday evening Aprio 27 @ 7pm. The food was to die for, EXCELLANT."

"My husband and I went for an anniversary dinner and enjoyed it. The food was great and our server Mossimo was fun, friendly, and knowledgable. The decor is fine -- not swanky, and not stuffy, but just enough to give you a little something to look at. There was certainly an authenticity about the restaurant that was charming. We did appetizers to desserts and enjoyed all of it. The appetizer special--the seafood cake--was great, ironically not too fishy, but tasty. My husband's dinner (sausage, marscapone, pear) ravioli was good and filling, as was my veal florentine. It's a great place to go when you want good, authentic food without for a decent price. We will definitely go there again."

"Food is DELICIOUS, gnocchi is the best I have ever had. Special appetizers are always amazing, only issue with them waiters do not tell prices when giving any of the specials - $12.95 for a small appetizer is over priced! As amazing as the apps, salads and main courses are, the desserts are fair at best. Also, the table bread with peppers they give are very yummy. Overall BEST Italian food in Delaware and Chester Counties!"

"It was a delightful meal with excellent food. One suggestion and one comment...it might be nice for someone to come around and offer olive oil for the bread instead of just roasted peppers. There are some people that do not care for them. Also, our waiter was a nice young man who took his time (likely tending to patrons) to take our order. This was longer than usual as we have been to this restaurant many times over the years. Also, you might want to check the menus/wine list for "desserts" versus "deserts" as this may have been an oversight when they were printed."

"My wife and I tried La Locanda for the first time on Valentine’s day. They were extremely busy, but the service did not suffer. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. "We had a 7:30 reservation and never got our meal until almost 9:00 - it was Valentine's day and they had a fixed menu so we did not order anything "special". We did not want to ruin the evening for us so we just went with the flow because they were busy.
They seated us up against a window which extremely drafty and cold, but with a full house we dare not ask to be moved. I think this was their outdoor seating room in nicer weather.
As for a romantic evening - didn't happen at LaLaConda."

"We dined on Valentine's Day. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Food and service were great. The portions were a little small-I have eaten here before and this was not the case then. My only service complaint is I took the last scallop of our appetizer plate and someone (not our server) came by and took the plate. There was a sauce on it I was planning on putting on the bread. Our server was great. He was energetic, friendly, attentive and had knowledge of the menu. I will definitely go back, I really enjoy the food and atmosphere."

"Our table wasn't ready at the reserved time. We waited 15 min for the table to be available and then set. Our waiter was MIA throughout the dinner. We were constantly asking other waiters to find him. When he returned there was never an explanation or an apology for the delays. There were only 2 of us and dinner took 2.5 hours. We watched other tables in our dining room change over twice while we were there. There was no offer to buy us a drink or a complimentary desert for the delays. The waiter clearly knew were were frustrated. A bit disappointing. We reported this to the host on our way out and he apologized and just said the kitchen was slow. Fortunately the food was good."

"My husband and I love La Locanda. When spent our very first Valentine's Day there upon the recommendation of his co-worker and have been back every year since--this year was our 5th! Although I wouldn't call the cuisine at La Locanda incredibly inventive or unusual, it is excellent Italian food. Although the restaurant can be busy, the service is consistent and the waiters are knowledgeable. Don't miss the seafood dishes as they are consistently excellent!"

"Outstanding meal and service, this is a great place for a nice evening. Second visit and the food and service have been excellent both times. Esp. like the Sun-Tue evening BYOB option even though they have a bar. The front dining room has a nice fireplace for cold or chilly evenings. Our only negative is that the front dinning room has a large open archway to the bar, not that the bar is a loud or roudy atmosphere at all, it is very nice. Only a few other tables of folks there at 7PM superbowl evening, many in the bar to see the game. Tables in the back dining room are near a fountain and away from the bar, ask for a trable there if you want to skip the bar view. This minor comment & in no way diminishes my 5 star rating IMHO."
