"When we didn't order drinks (club soda/ginger ale) it seemed like they decided they wanted to turn over our table quickly. Only moreso when we split a salad and entree (we didn't want leftovers as we were going to a show at the Orpheum). Our salad was out w/in 2 minutes of ordering but didn't have a 2nd plate. WIth our entree the mashed potatoes were room temperature. Our bill came out as soon as the plates were cleared."

"Our overall experience wasn't terrible, but our waitress was. The decor is dated, and the energy level is nowhere near any of the other similarly priced restaurants downtown. Our drinks were excellent, our food was very good, and we had a nice view of downtown from our table."

"Service was slow, and we had to ask multiple times to get water, another beer, etc. The last beer ordered never came, so we asked for the bill. Fortunately that extra bill was not on the bill. The waiter never even acknowledged it.
It's a great location in the heart of the Theatre District, so we'd like to go there again. But may try Crave or Union instead."

"The food was ok, but neither meal in our party was great. There used to be a ahi tuna salad or appetizer on the menu that is no longer that. I always enjoyed that so I was disappointed it wasn't there. This is probably a good beer and burger place, but that's about it. The service was good, friendly."

"I'm glad we tried this again. And it's all about the service. We visited Rock Bottom in January and had bad service. Seemed like it must have been her first night. "My husband and I were the first to arrive of our party of 6 and were seated in a "too cozy" booth. Upon asking if we could be seated elsewhere, I was told by the host staff that there was nothing they could do and I could have made a seating request. I told them I had no idea what the dining layout would be and I had made reservations. Eventually, one of the hosts informed a manager who found us seating in the bar. We were glad to have been moved but the bar was incredibly loud and it was difficult to carry on a conversation with someone who wasn't immediately beside you. On a positive note, the food was good. I wanted a steak salad, which isn't on the menu, so my server suggested I add a kid's steak, which worked out really well."

"Amazing experience...I took 2 high-school seniors to the production of "Flashdance" at the Orpheum Theater as a graduation present;our visit to Rock Bottom was an added bonus for all of us. We experienced a wonderful atmosphere, amazing food, and the BEST Waitress ever.... It made driving 300 miles round-trip so worth a total Cities experience. "Glad we made a reservation, they were packed! I wasn't super impressed with my meal, the chicken was overcooked in the chicken enchiladas. Another at my table said the shrimp and lobster enchiladas were sort of a joke..he didn't taste any lobster and there was barely any shrimp. The other 2 guests enjoyed their meal. I usually like their food just fine so maybe was just a couple bad menu selections."

"Bar selections were terrible, food was definitely no better than so-so. I was hoping to try their ribs but apparently they aren't available for ordering until after 7PM so I was left with a very mediocre burger."

"This place was amazing. I went probably around opening time so it was a little quiet. By the time I left it was definitely starting to fill in a little. The place seems pretty large to me, so even the amount of people in there did not seem bad at all. Hostess was great and the bartender was very nice. My food came out in a timely manner and the beer was excellent. I had the Just Hot Enough Burger and a Fireman's Ale. It was a great choice."

"It was my first time at Rock Bottom in more than 10 years, and I was surprisingly underwhelmed. We arrived early, and were content to wait but the hostess assured us it was just fine to start early. It was mid afternoon and uncrowded. Service was prompt and friendly. When orders were delivered 2 out of the 3 had wrong or no sides. Easily and promptly fixed with profuse apologies. The Black and Blue burger was barely room temperature, and fairly tastless. The other two entres were in better shape and enjoyed by my children. The coctail was very good. The service was friendly. The ambiance was fair and appropriaate for the time of day and the clientele."

"Very good beer if you're not after American Lite beer. Had the Conundrum Ale, which was excellent. Slightly sweet for a hoppy beer, like an IPA. Food was very good and better than typical bar fare. 13-year-old turned his nose up at the fish tacos, but the rest of us enjoyed them."

"Went to Rock Bottom with another couple before we caught a show in Minneapolis. We were the couple who chose Rock Bottom and was pretty embarrassed by our experience. The drinks were horrible. My sangria tasted like jelly and my friend ordered a whiskey sprite which only tasted like watered down sprite. The food was very poor and the mashed potatoes cold and the steak rubbery and fatty and our waitress never once came to check on us so we didn't even have a chance to complain. Definitely would never recommend or come back to Rock Bottom."

"We had some minor issues with our meals and the manager Tom Czech was amazing! He took care of us even when we weren't expecting it. It was a refreshing experience. Our server Travis was also phenomenal!"

"Our group had a mix of people from my in-laws to my 11 year old son. This was the perfect place to meet and for everyone to find a choice on the menu. One thing that I really appreciated was how they handled my reservation. I made it online and was running a few minutes late. My in-laws who were meeting us there got there on time and the restaurant seated them even though I was not there yet. To me this is impressive since most places require your entire party to be there before you can be seated. That allowed us to start the evening off relaxed and with such a good wait staff it just continued."

"A very special thank-you for making my first experience a pleasant one. We had great service and phenomenal food! I was craving a good beer and gourmet burger and I got it. I went with the server's recommendation when I could not decide which burger to get and she was right on. It was also nice to have an opportunity to sample two beers I would be interested in as I wasn't sure. Thank you very much! Will definitely be back."

"We requested a table, not a booth and got one!!! We like the reservation feature, especially after the play gets out.
We like the micro brewery part of the restaurant. They could add an amber ale to their regular brews, some of us like less hoppy beer.
