"Outdoor dining spot in spring and summer, even early fall can not be beat!

We always like the food and found it delicious this time also. Reason for the four star rating are prices and mislabing of potatoes as mashed. They were notbut were sliced and formed into a patty. Servings are a bit less than generour but very tasty. Loved the larger pieces of crab meat in the crab cakes.

Bar/happy hour was fun, but also pricey.

We were there for dinner early, 5:30 so not sure how loud it gets during busy times."

"Overall the experience was only ok. The bottles of wine were half off, which ended up being a nice surprise, and they had some nice choices, somewhat overpriced, but with the half off, definitely worth the value.
The appetizers were decent. We had calamari, which was well done, with 2 sauces to try. The other group had crab dip, which came in a bread bowl, that was more bread than dip, so overall not amazing, but still decent.
Then as a part of the fish main course, you get a garden salad and soup. The lobster bisque was excellent. The salad with the house dressing was sub-par and seemed to be bagged salad mix, i could buy from the store and through some vinaigrette on it.
The mahi mahi was overcooked, but the sauce was well made."

"Phillips Restaurant is a must go to when at the Harbour. The food is great, the service is great and the prices are very good for what you recieve. The bottom line is that you won't go wrong with dining there at any time of the day. Great place!!!!!

"Was very disappointed. Started off with cream of crab that wasn't anything spectacular. Main course was a broiled seafood platter with a crabcake, shrimp, Mahi Mahi, broccolini and some potato dish. Everything tasted very bland. They had seafood seasoning on the table but that still didn't help much to spice it up. Even their "specialty" crabcake did not have much flavor at all. Portions were small. Dish only had four medium-size shrimp, the piece of fish was smaller than a post-it, crabcake was smaller size as well. The sides were two pieces of broccolini and the potato dish looked like they cooked it in a small custard cup and just plopped it out on the plate. Not worth the money.
Good piano player for the bar. Nice view."

"I really enjoy myself. I usually get the salmon when I come but I wanted to try something different this time, so I got the mahi mahi. The fish was grilled to perfection but the green thai curry and coconut ricve was a bit too much for me. Other than that I had a wonderful dinner."

"Very upset about the lack of food on a major holiday such as V-Day. As someone who reserved for the occasion, it would have been nice to be informed of the situation of not having lobster or fresh oysters prior in order for us to re-make plans."

"Philips is a Baltimore institution that does everything well but nothing exceptionally. We tried the lobster cake, a new item, and it was terrible. The waiter admitted afterwards that most people don't like it.

That said, it was friendly, our reservation was honored no problem and the rest of the food that was their traditional menu was very good.

It won't be a meal you'll remember for the rest of your life but it's a good solid restaurant for the price with great views of the Bay."

"This was ridiculous! I ended up not eating here because they didn't have LOBSTER or CRABS! How could Philips be out of SEAFOOD? They could have at least sent me an e-mail or text message instead of waiting until I got there to tell me. Awful"

"Ran out of everything, service was poor and the staff was less than friendly. Waiter went missing for 35 mins at a time. To say the least, I went on Vday. The one notable thing was the rose that the hostess handed me when i entered and it went downhill from there. I will never go back."

"Had an excellent meal with top quality service. Our server (Starr) was always attenitive and friendly. We had an impatient 9 y/o with us and Starr spoke directly to him and showed interst in his needs and requests. Very few servers do that. You should incorporate her into a training program for servers."

"Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience at Phillips.
We were very excited to try Phillips. However, there was one let down after another. It was drafty and uncomfortable. For the price we would have expected to have been wined and dined wonderfully. Instead we felt like we were stopping into a common touristy food joint that was extremely over priced. Our soup was cold and one of our fish entrees had to be sent back. We won't ever be dining at Phillips again. They should be ashamed at the prices they charge. It's outlandish. I have eaten at numerous places in Baltimore and this is at the very bottom of my list. Sorry for the bad review but we were shocked and not only disappointed but let down totally."

"Given the reputation for crab cakes and a tourist spot, we were delighted and surprised at the range of selection and quality of food preparation. This quality gave the wait staff greater confidence and their level of service reflected it. I had the Austrailian river bass - it was prepared perfectly. My guests really enjoyed their entrees, and the German Reisling was another great find/surprise. It was a memorable night and made me feel both vindicated for the selection and proud of my city."

"I was very disappointed in the food quality. My cream of crab soup had a few strings of crab meat. My lobster was very bland. A person in my party order fish and it was over cooked. My side dish appeared to be reheated instead of freshly prepared. The service was excellent! The manager was very accomodating an our server was excellent. The best part of my meal was my filet (steak) cooked perfectly medium well. However, I went to seafood restaurant for seafood. I have been to the Washington, DC locations and have found it to be superior to this location."

"We had a wonderful time for New Year's eve. The waitress suggested that I not get what I wanted to order, which was Shrimp Scampi. She was right! I ended up getting Fried Shrimp, which was good. I enjoyed the wines that she selected. Will surely go back!"

"On town for a trade show. Phillips has always been a favorite. But it has slid. They clearly weren't staffed to handle a moderate crowd. There were tables empty, but they were very slow. Overall disappointing."

"I had asked for a view of the water for a special occasion and they sat us in the perfect spot with a great view of the water. I had ordered flowers to be on the table and they were there before we got there making a perfect surprise. My wife has some special diet needs and Phillips worked with us to provide a complete meal to her satisfaction. My meal was perfect even though neither of us eat fish. We had a show at the BSO to attend and asked that we be served appropriately and they were great with the timing. We would definitely go here again."

"We almost hesitated to visit Phillips at Harborplace because we had heard comments that the quality of the food and the service had gone down in the past year. However we found the food to be very good and our server was certainly adequate.
My husband had the broiled seafood dinner (which didn't have the quantity of items we rememberd from the past)which he said was very good and I had the seared tuna which was excellent. For appetizers we had calamari and the always excellent crab dip. Prices are on the high side but we felt the experience was worth it and we were very glad we decided to give the restaurant a try."
