Our food is prepared from scratch in our chef run kitchen which offers our guests an unparalleled freshness and variety of flavors.
Our raw bar is stocked with the freshest oysters, shrimp and clams, delivered daily from our local fish markets in Philadelphia. In addition to our seasonally changing menu, we feature daily specials taking full advantage of seasonal ingredients.
All menus are available for carry out. The Brickside Grille also has a large banquet room that can accommodate up to 70 guests.

"Great Restaurant. Everything was great except the sauces on the steaks. Hollandaise was too heavy and so were the other sauces.
Air conditioning was on and we had to move to another table. Be sure to bring a wrap or sweater!"

"Party of 3 on Mother's Day was put into an overflow room that had 2 tables for 4 and 5 tables for 8-10. Children were screaming and running; mothers and fathers shouted across the room at children. We waited 10 minutes for our server to approach our table, ten minutes for our appetizer to arrive. After one hour, our meal which was three sandwiches with fries had not yet been delivered to the table. When the food did arrive, one order was incorrect, the rolls were hard (probably from sitting under the heat lamp for so long),
and the fries were cold and limp. Used to recommend this place -never again!"

"We dined at Brickside on a Saturday night and I really think this restaurant is better for lunch (salads/sandwiches) or with kids. They advertise seafood, but they overcook it. I tried my friend's salmon and mahi mahi and they were very dry. Also, I had asked for a cappuccino and all they had was decaffeinated? I also found out that they use pods/cups for their espresso...I then went with coffee. The service was also pretty bad, very slow and inattentive."

"Food was very good overall, although one mistake was made (and the server was gone for too long to bother to fix it) - they seemed a little under-staffed for the crowd they had. On the other hand, the food came almost too quickly. We like to sit and sip drinks, the food arrived so fast that they seemed anxious for us to eat and move on. Side dishes were uncreative - mashed potatoes was an odd choice for fish, the zucchini medley had absolutely no seasoning or sauce. But my mahi mahi was a large portion, well cooked, nicely seasoned. They need to do something about noise - it was hard to hear and talk across the wide tables."

"Tasty food with a great variety on the menu. Choose several appetizers for a tapas experience, a BLT with oysters for a dinner sandwich, or a well prepared dinner, nicely presented.
Servers are friendly and helpful, especially when you were missed originally.

"The servers description of certain menu items, "specials" turned out to be false. A chicken dish, which she said was NOT spicy, could not be eaten. Certain food items that should have been hot regular fries and sweet potato,were served cold. Our server was no where to be found to correct this.
A dessert was ordered, one that I have had here before. A warm chocolate cake served with ice cream. When the server delivered it to us, the ice cream was completely melted. It was a puddle with cake floating in the middle. We made a comment which she shrugged off and she walked away. Once again we had to tack her down to get the check. They restaurant was pretty empty for a noon lunch!"

"I've been here several times both for lunch and dinner and each time I come the food and service are on point. The filet mignon and horseradish whipped potatoes are an excellent choice and the steak turns out perfect every time! I've also had the Oyster BLT here before and that is just outrageously good! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the oyster shooters and calamari as well.
The prices are very reasonable and the food is always fresh and made to perfection. The wait staff is also very friendly and attentive as well. I highly recommend this place!"

"Made a last second Saturday night reservation for 3. Got us right in and we enjoyed a very nice meal. My wife has several food allergies and Brickside always handles them with aplomb, this visit was no different. We had an excellent young waitress who was both attentive and timely in performing her duties. Only low light was the dearth of craft brews, 2 had kicked from their less than extensive list, hard to imagine when its 7:30 on a Saturday evening. Well made food in a great neighborhood bar & grill."

"I took a client here for lunch with another colleague of mine and we had the nachos as an appetizer which were very good. I had the swordfish tacos which were amazing, a bit spicy but still very good. My client enjoyed his lunch as well. I have been several other times in the past and have had the fried oyster BLT which is delicious and I highly recommend the fliet mignon if you are going for dinner. They have a very unique menu to this area which also has your familiars as well. The service was pretty decent and depennding on what time you go it is either going to be dead or packed."

"I was pleased that our adult party of four was able to be re-seated as our first table was squeezed between two other parties--one of which had young children and a DVD cartoon playing. This scenario would not have been conducive to adult conversation.
Although our server said that I could not order a frittata a la carte (There is a frittata station as part of the brunch buffet), the manager agreed to. He just substituted an omelet on the a la carte menu with my preferred frittata.

"I have been to Brickside Grille for a baby shower brunch. This was the first time I was there for dinner. The menu is not a typical menu although the food is very good. Love the Blackened Quesadillas with pumpkin seeds and pepper jack cheese. I had Crab Cake sandwich this time and it was also very good. My husband didn't care for the Ravioli the he had. It was not your typical ravioli and I don't think he realized that when he ordered. The other 3 people in our party seemed to enjoy what they ordered - Pizza, Wings and the Quesadilla. Would definitely go again to try some other items."

"We have been to Brickside several times for dinner and once for brunch. We love it every time! The ever-changing monthly menu always has a fresh fish dish which I love each time, and the staples offer tasty options as well. The cedar plank salmon is excellent. Brunch was plentiful, filling and we had a coupon from subscribing to their emails so it was cheaper! LOVE this gem."

"This was only my second time at Brickside. My wife and I went there for a mid-week lunch to get away from work. My experience this time was no different then the last. Food was great and service was exceptional. It has a nice atmosphere regardless if you are meeting friends or having a nice meal for just you and your spouse. Prices are right where I would expect them to be for a restaurant like this."

"Brickside was great, I had the special for the night, which was an Elk Chop. it was cooked perfectly Rare to Medium Rare. The Sweetpotato puree was a great addition ti the dish with the charred Brussel Sprouts gave it a wonderful texture element."

"WE were wowed by the service and the ambiance. We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff was friendly energetic and polite.
We were considering a more up scale restaurant in Wayne, PA or Downingtown, PA but decided on the Brickside because of the good ratings here on OpenTable. We were very happy for our choice.
They have their own identity. They had a great UNIQUE menu with combinations of food that we have never experienced. The menu and choices made the dining experience fun.
Of most significant note was the selection of oysters and clams they had available. The Manager and Waiter took time to explain the choices of oysters and how they were prepared. We look forward to visiting again soon!"

"I go to Brickside Grille often as it's one of the best restaurants within 5 minutes of my home and work. The food there is usually very good although not often mind-blowing. Service can vary. On this occasion our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Crab-cakes which are full of crab, lightly baked and have a very nicely seasoned sauce. The cedar plank salmon is always good there. I loved the crab artichoke dip as well and the chocolate cake an creme brulee were delicious. The only downside was the baked halibut with black berry salsa. The halibut was bone dry. I was already kind of full with appetizers at that point and knoshing on someone elses crab cake so I passed on a replacement, but they removed it from the bill."

"I don't usually go to places that are HUGE and have large TVs on the wall above your head with commercials showing people's toes while you are eating. I go to dinner to talk to the people I am with. The food was quite good, the wine list terribly overpriced for such a casual restaurant. The noise was soooo loud. I would not go back for dinner, lunch possibly. The 30" table for 4 people was ridiculous. Our waitperson was very good."
