Kyo-Ya Reviews List

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"The restaurant was quiet on the Wednesday night a colleague and I visited. Service was very attentive but not intrusive and the food arrived quickly. I had the spicy tuna roll and salmon main course while my colleague opted for a number of rolls. The roll was very fresh with the flavors distinct and the salmon was simple but delicious. The prices are fair, at least for an urban area. I would definitely go again."

Review 5 for Kyo-Ya

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"If you love sushi and expect the best in quality then Kyo Ya is the place for you. They get their fish flown in from all over the world from the top markets. They masterfully construct beautiful morsels of fish in extremely beautiful arangements on plates of all different shapes and sizes. They have won many awards for their sushi including a first place finish for best sushi in all of S.F. last year. Be aware the prices are not very modest but the quality more than makes up for it. Don't forget to try the chawan mushi it is outstanding!!! Perfectly cooked egg custard with ginko nut, green onion, mochi, unagi and then it's toped with uni. Now I never ever eat uni except in this dish and OMG is it wonderful. I have every time we go."

Review 7 for Kyo-Ya

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"I was alone and wanted a quick lunch but don't like sitting alone at a table. I was seated at the sushi bar and was very comfortable. Sushi was artful and delicious. I had the Spider roll with deep fried soft shell crab. It was perfect. Service was fast and attentive. Other diners at the tables were sharing some of the suchi platters and they looked awesome."

Review 9 for Kyo-Ya

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"My friend and I went there for lunch. Expensive ($32/person) but very authentic and tasty! I was happy to see a "real" Japanese chef working at the sushi bar. The woman took us to our table didn't say a word and she was quite rude."
