"We had the duck and a special entre of pheasant. The entire meal was fantastic with the one exception of completely forgettable desert - be sure and forget to order it.
This was our first time visiting. Unique décor, perfect lighting, terrific fireplace. We were there for romance but would also be fun for couples. Made us wannabe "foodies" happy. We will be back."

"My wife and I went to Grissini's to celebrate her birthday, we booked a table for two on Open Table. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, the food, and the service were all excellent. We had a nice table in front of the huge fireplace, and it was a cold March night, so that made it even better. The restaurant was pretty empty but that's normal in Maine in the winter. All in all I'd highly recommend Grissini's."

"The ambiance is wonderful, dimmed lights, fireplace lit, cozy and warm. Had a blueberry martini which was outstanding! The mussels and broth were fabulous, could have made a meal out of that! My husband totally enjoyed his lasagna and upon tasting it, I agree. I had the cod with shrimp risotto and it was fine, nothing outstanding, but good. I found it salty for my taste, and left half on the plate. The honey ice cream was delicious as was my husband's pear/apple sorbet, yum! We will definitely return, think I will have Italian the next time, as I did at a previous visit, enjoyed that more. Very attentive server without hovering, perfect."

"I hadn't been to Grissini's in years, because I moved away. I was very pleased w/my experience. It was just as good as I remembered. It was a first experience for my parents and husband, and they loved it too."

"It was our first time at this restaurant and we would definately go back. The food was very good and generous portions. The decor was warm and welcoming, they had a wall length real fireplace. We were not rushed either."

"Our second dinner at Grissini. We were seeking a warm atmosphere for a quiet dinner for two. Seated 10 feet from the hearth, this is just what we got. Excellent service and food. Entree took a long time to prepare but we didn't mind. Giving us a free desert as compensation was a nice touch."

"Salad was delicious and well presented! Main dish was fair. My husband and I had the same meal. His lacked red sauce while mine had quite enough. The cheese on the chicken was not melted like we thought it would be. Service was a bit slow at times."

"Wonderful service, timeless surroundings, great food. Grissini balances tradition and innovation. The soup-of-the-day, beet and gorgonzola, was novel, fresh, and hearty. The scallop appetizer is on the menu all year, while always fitted to the season. The caesar dressing and croutons and lasagna noodles and balsamic reduction sauce are made there from scratch, and you taste it. The pizza, the half-chicken, the steak, are cooked with wood, and you taste it. There are several great restaurants in the Kennebunks; for the price, Grissini is the best."

"We had dinner for 2 on Valentines day (6pm reservations). Originally set for 7, but easily changed the night before to 6 by a wonderful polite woman (via phone). We had beet soup and scallops for an appitizer; both had outstanding flavors but could have been hotter when delivered to the table. For the main course, we had steak tenderloin and pheasant - again, both had deep incredible multi-layered flavors. The bread and wine (recommended by the server) were outstanding. In general the service was outstanding (as expected). We had a wonderful time and will be back (we usually go once or twice a year but this was our first time using open table)."

"We always visit Grissini's when in Kennebunkport...it is one of our favorite restaurants.....so good in fact that this time we went back Tuesday night to have the pizza and a great salad...great place...can't say enough."
