"I first have to say the atmosphere and set up of the restaurant was very nice. It had this nice low light ambiance to it. Me and my best friend went, but there are tables big enough for groups and tables for two. It's a restaurant where you could go on a romantic date, or a have a good hang out with the friends. My friend ordered the Peking Duck and I ordered the Tapas platter. Both very good. Presentations were nice. We also ordered the shrimp Pad Thai and the Red Curry chicken. Both very delicious. The waiters and busy boys and girls were very attentive to us. Great service and good food. Would recommend! :)"

"My family took me to dinner there on Mother's Day because it's one of our all time favorite restaurants. But we were so disappointed! The service was terrible- we had to repeatedly ask the waitress for refills and other items we requested. The appetizers were good but the meals weren't up to their usual standards- the sauces were watery, the rice clumpy, and the beans were cold.
But, I do have to say that we've never had a problem with the restaurant's quality of food or service before this. (When I rated them before, I gave them mostly 5's!) I just don't think that they were fully prepared for the crowd on Mother's Day."

"I enjoy heading to Teikoku with my husband on our nights out. It's nice because he is not into sushi, but can still find things he likes. The teriyaki chicken is a favorite for him, while mine is the King Kong roll or just about an of their sushi specials. It's one of our favorite local restaurants!"

"We eat at Teikoku quite often and always enjoy it. The bar makes great drinks, the sushi is always super fresh and tasty, and the entrees are also great. My favorite item on the menu is the Kobe beef hot-rock - anyone who likes steak has to try it. The service is always nice too."

"It was a Wednesday but they seat ya early without any issue. The service was wonderful. The food was filling and tasty just a bit pricey but it is fresh uncooked fish. Lol. As we ate it did become busier and became very noisey. Not much privacy and a little difficult to talk on a date."

"Generally, the food was good though I thought there was a tendency to 'gild the lily' when it came to the preparation and application of the sauces and dressings. The portions were large, so much so that we had the restaurant pack one entree and my wife and I split the other.
Wine list is extensive with prices running about 2.5 to 3.5 times the retail price of the wines on the list. Wine list grouped by themes (Water, Earth, Fire, etc.)
Dress is very casual (at least it was on the Sunday we dined)."

"The service wasn't all that great. My entree came out way before my wife's. It was the wrong entree (wrong sushi platter). It was taken back and replaced with the correct one. I felt the pieces of fish were smaller than usual. My wife's entree took over 15 minutes longer to come out than mine. There was no explanation at all. I finally had to ask where her entree was (we really thought the waiter had forgotten about it). All we heard was it is coming soon. It came out about 5 minutes later. But basically, entrees coming out 20 minutes apart is kind of bad."

"Five of us recently went to Teikoku to celebrate a birthday. We asked online for the quieter room but it was closed, & we were given a private room! As usual, the food & service was outstanding. Annie was our server & she treated us like royalty. The Thai cocunut soup is a perfect blend of sweet/sour, the sushi is pristinely fresh & imaginative, & my favorite, the elaborate salmon tartare is not to be missed. The birthday girl even got a free ice cream (with candle) for dessert! If you like Asian food, you will love Teikoku!"

"There were aspects of this meal that were great and others that were disappointing. Pros: server, arugala and goat cheese salad, wine, lettuce wraps. Cons: table behind bar (really loud everytime the staff slammed down glassware on the shelves next to my seat), lack of lamb in the pricey lamb curry special, no must have dessert items on the menu. Refuse the two tables that adjoin the back of the bar unless you want to hear all the goings on at the bar server station."

"Energetic atmosphere and nice decor in the main/bar area...the side dining rooms were a bit quieter and more plainly decorated. Service was attentive, though our server didn't tell us the specials, and we didn't realize this until we had already ordered and overheard her telling them to another table. Food was very good. Enjoyed our 3 starters- house salad, tuna roll, and rock shrimp. Salmon teriyaki was cooked nicely, but it was a smaller portion than expected. Only complaint was that overall we felt rushed. Our dinner arrived before we had finished our starters, and at one point a server tried to take our food away when we were clearly not finished."

"Teikoku covers all the bases. I had high hopes and was blown away. Character, charm, and warmth in its ambiance put me right at ease especially after a tiresome workday. Locals, date-nighters, groups were all there. The menu offered an imaginative combination of flavors that included both traditional dishes and modern takes on traditional flavor profiles. It will be easy to go back without eating the same thing twice It will be easier to go back to repeat the process. The food was perfectly prepared. We didn't have a single critique. Cold plates were cold, hot plates were hot, dishes were clean, service professional. Even with the tables being close togther mirroring Japanese styles, we felt like the only two in the place."
