Suzette's is a cozy French Bistro specializing in both sweet and savory crepes and hearty bistro fare. Our wine list features all French wine. Attached to the restaurant is a French-inspired boulangerie and patisserie. Everyday Afternoon Tea is served. Suzette's pleasure is to provide excellent food and wine in a comfortable atmosphere that encourages our clientele to have a relaxing dining experience. In the summer the dining room extends to an outdoor patio filled with plants, flowers and fountain. Live Jazz Friday nights is reminiscent of the Hot Jazz Clubs of Paris. Located close to Wheaton College and in the heart of Historic Downtown Wheaton , Suzette's is a destination for dining.
"This is a wonderful place for a ladies lunch. There were men there, too so not saying it has to be for the girls only. The food was fresh and delicious and different. Service was excellent and I love the decor. You have to try a pastry (or two) so good. Real food."

"Mother's Day brunch was good and reasonably priced. The $14 per tiny flute of champagne was outrageous and not communicated at ordering. Two little glasses of champagne and one mimosa shouldn't be more than the cost of the brunch. It put a huge damper on the occasion. I'll ask next time, but couldn't believe the price of a single glass. It wasn't that good. The rest of the food and decor were wonderful and we enjoyed it immensely."

"Like my title above says, this was the best Mother's Day Brunch I have ever attended! The food was unbelievably delicious. The service was fantastic, especially on Mother's Day when restaurants are usually packed with customers. And the pastry table was sinfully delicious. My family and I all rolled out of Suzette's fat and sassy! Love it!"

"This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. My brother visits from out of state every year and always wants to come here. They expanded last year but have not lost the charm and intimacy that we've always enjoyed. Tried pate appetizer plate this time: both choice excellent. Even my husband who does not like pate liked these. Service is "European" so when you are in a rush this is not a realistic choice."

"The service is extremely slow here. It took over 2 hours for us to have lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The waitress took almost 25 minutes to take our order. Add another 20 to get our iced tea and coffee and 10 after that to get appetizers! The entree's came out about 20 minutes after the appetizers and we waited nearly 25 for our coffee and dessert.
The food is delicious, the bakery items are superb! If you dine here, go with the mindset that it will be a couple of hours at least. This restaurant needs to hire more help in the kitchen and waitresses. The staff is quite helpful and pleasant, but much too slow!"

"My friend and I have enjoyed a yearly treck to Wheaton and enjoy lunch at Suzette's each time. This time we went we found that they had expanded the restaurant and so it was even more comfortable than before. They have also added an outdoor seating area. We are hoping to return to enjoy that sometime in the future. The little bakery attached is also a great place to pick out a treat to take home."

"The ambiance is superb, romantic, quiet, warm, attentive service, but a non-rushed slower pace of a most enjoyable meal. Personalized service from the bartender suggesting the proper recommendation of wine to pair with your meal. A most delightful experience, we've been there several times, never a disappointment. This restaurant is an excellent choice."

"I need to start by saying I sent a note to the restaurant via email regarding our experience and have not heard back. It's only been a short time but but considering my concerns I would have thought it would have been answered a little more quickly. In the interest of keeping this short I will say this: The food was fairly good. You could tell it was scratch cooking and care went into the dishes. Dessert not as strong as the entree but passable. Ambiance was relaxing and enjoyable. Service was where Suzette's really lacked. Young inexperienced waiters should be working at fast casual, not a French bistro. No bread at the table, no second glass of wine, and long delays for the food. Train your servers please."

"Delicious food, and beautiful ambience, but service was poor. We sat for over 15 minutes, and finally grabbed a wait staff for ice water. My friend ordered hot tea, and was not given milk or sweetener. It did get a little better at the end, but they need to correct this. It was not busy, either."

"If you want to enjoy a good glass of wine in a nice atmosphere, or perhaps a cup of tea, then this is the place for you. Nice ambience and comfortable chairs.
Service a bit slow, but quite courteous.
Food: really disappointing and not worth the money. Avoid Quiche Lorraine (I have tried many of them) - a bland disaster. Potato leek soup has nothing to do with Vichyssoise. Cheese Soufflé is a heavy cheese bake and again, is not a soufflé.
Again, lovely place to relax - but not to go out and eat."

"Food was good, but not outstanding so as to warrant $$$. I feel we paid for the excellent service, ambiance, and pleasant rapport w/staff. Not a dining establishment where one lunches frequently."

"Suzette's was great. We had the Gruyere fondue for two, the pork tenderloin in apple-brandy sauce and the beef bourgingon crepe. All the food was fantastic and the service was great, but a little slow. The sommelier had great recommendations and served very healthy pours of wine for each glass - you definitely got your money's worth! It is a lovely set-up, but had no music playing which actually made some of the natural pauses in conversation uncomfortable because then you were very aware of the conversations around you. All in all though, we'll definitely be back and I look forward to trying their brunch menu!"

"We went on the suggestion of a friend and we had a wonderful time. The server was knowledgeable and helpful and the bartender/sommelier made excellent suggestions for the wine. The restaurant is reasonably quiet, but then again we were there on a Wednesday night. We went with the special of the day for soup (cream of mushroom) and it was excellent. The lemon curd/raspberry dessert crepe was a standout. And much to my wife's delight, they actually know how to make tea."

"We have been there before and loved it then as we did this time. As close to being in France without the long flight. It's know for its crepes but does offer some main Entrees as well. And the crepes are good size portions. Free parking lot on the next street, but there is street parking as well. It has a charming bakery attached so it is a wonderful place for breakfast. Be prepared to spend $120 to $130 for two with appetizer, dinner, bottle of wine, dessert, coffee, tax and tip."

"A small, interesting spot for a special occasion. The service was excellent, even though the room was near capacity and we only saw one server. Very good selection of wines, interesting beer choices. Menu is somewhat limited, but both times we have been our choices were well prepared and presented, tasted very nice. Be prepared for the bill, however, dinner for two (2 soups, small salad, 2 entrees, dessert, 1 glass of wine, 2 imported beers) ran $107 with tip, after a $25 Groupon."

"Although the food is delicious (for me that love crepes), I found it overpriced for what they offer. The first thing you'd expect to see at a fine and expensive restaurant, is a bread basket, (especially for a french restaurant that has their own patisserie attached) and they don't offer any. Glass of wine overpriced for the size & quality. Dessert overpriced. All and all I was disapointed. I left the place hungry after paying a large bill for my lunch. I didn't expect the portions to be huge as they are in American restaurants or Italian, but I think they could at least serve a bigger salad (in a separate plate from the sausy crepe) or bread to go with the small crepe. Disapointed."

"We love the cozy and quiet living room like atmosphere at Suzette's with tablecloths, cloth napkins and stem ware, as part of the table setting. It makes dining feel like a special occasion! The carefully prepared French food is delicious and a nice change from American fast food choices. My favorite is the caramel apple crepe. Our daughter was surprised when a candle lit petite four was served to her, at the end of our breakfast. A very nice touch, on her birthday! Bon Jour! SKY"

"This place was such a nice escape from the busier, louder restaurants of the western suburbs, and definitely the anti-chain restaurant. The decor is adorable. It looks and feels like an independently run restaurant, and reminds me of being in Galena, WI.
Service was great and the manager was so nice. We brought home many tasty desserts after dinner. Madelines, chocolate caramel shortbread, and chocolate croissants were great. I've had a better chocolate croissant only once before.
The crepes were huge. Only thing I didn't love was the shrimp app. Sauce and preparation were great, but I was expecting much larger shrimp. Wine recommendations were great. Salmon crepe was perfect. Salads that accompanied were delish.
Such a gem!"

"I love this French Restaurant. The food is always excellent. The music in the backround always makes me feel like I"m in Paris. Tonight they did have someone playing the piano instead of French music playing on the radio speaker. I go crazy walking into their bakery section and staring at their french pasteries. It's like heaven. Each pastery is a bit expensive but look at how fancy they're made. It's almost like you'd buy them but how could you eat them, they're so fancy decorated by the pastry chef's. Mini cheesecakes, mousse's, cakes', etc. If you're ever shopping in the area, and don't have time for lunch or dinner, just stop by the bakery section to buy a few sandwich's or bakery items for home - - it's like being in Paris. I wish!"

"We have been to Suzette's many time and this time for our 10 year anniversary. I had the lamb and my husband the pork tenderloin. Both were cooked perfectly. We had mixed green salads with warm goat cheese and walnuts and sipped French wine - Bordeaux and Sancerre - perfect - and shared a salted caramel gelato for dessert. Yum!"

"Once again a friend and I dined at Suzette's. Today it was for lunch. The sommelier only woks evenings, but the waitress offered up a great wine suggestion and it was great!! The service was a bit slower today than it has been in the past, but the food was terrific and well worth the wait. I especially appreciate Suzette's for the atmosphere. You are made to feel special and comfortable as if you really matter to the staff."
