"We were going to go to ANZU at Hotel Nikko, but wanted something more upbeat and had cooked dishes for a member of our party who did not eat sushi- it was our last night in San Francisco and we had a Very early plane to catch in the morning. Waiter was not helpful in describing any dishes. The crispy (granted it did say deep fried in the description) was very crispy, actually deep fried that it looked burnt. The Lion King did not look like it had the ingredients it said it would have. The cooked salmon dish that was very over cooked. The only items that were good, was the soup and edamame, very hard to mess those up."

"Wow. This restaurant served us some of best sushi I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. The special rolls in particular are inventive, decorative and above all massively tasty. The tempura was absolutely perfect - beautifully cooked, just right. The miso soup - awesome. The sake selection was also immense. Service was excellent having accomodated us at short note. It was clearly a favorite amongst the local community too. The ambiance was typical of a workmanlike hardcore sushi restaurant, perhaps a bit bright and not too fancy. But hey with food like that who cares! Will definitely return next time I come to San Francisco."

"Had a quick lunch there and the food was very good. I did not have the sushi but from the look of it at neighboring tables, it looked fresh. Service was very fast and efficient. I plan to come back for some sushi in the future"
