"IBWC is one of my favorite restaurants. We are fortunate to have it located in Howard County. The menu is interesting, especially with the offerings of small plates and starters in addition to entrees. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and is always presented well. I enjoyed the salad with the luncheon quiche as well as the steamed mussels. Of course, the wines are interesting. The service is always very good!"

"The food is incredible, and the staff is amazing. They are very knowledgable about their wine selection, the chef is creative, and his crew is awesome. We have never had a bad meal. What we have had is a bad romantic dining experience. Every. Single. Time. They need a different building/area for parties so those parties are separate from couples trying to enjoy a romantic evening. The lack of sound-dampening materials lets inebriated guests wax poetic their exuberance. For the menu, ambiance, and especially price: I would expect a more refined experience."

"Iron Bridge has proven itself again and again for my wife and I. Located right on Howard County's curving thoroughfare, route 108 and across from Clark's Elioak Farms. Iron Bridge has an extensive wine list, food that I can pronounce and actually eat. We celebrated Mother's Day with our 15 year old son. I definitely recommend this for special occasions and for a time when you want to move up from the usual Friday/Saturday dining options. You do not have to be dressed up but the staff looks great. Another great opportunity is that Iron Bridge produces a monthly wine list of bottle for sale. Typically $10 to $12 each. Terrific choices for any budget. We bought a case of reds from the May Wine list and received 20% off."

"Dined on Saturday night. Restaurant was very crowded and kitchen was very backed up. Food arrived randomly--i.e. coffee arrived 30 minutes before the dessert showed up. Service was poor--coffee arrived but no sugar or cream and no one was around to ask. Half of the food we ordered was outstanding--the other half just so-so. Will not return."

"Iron bridge is taking their next step towards destination dining, which I applaud--they host more events, sponsor charities etc. At lunch, this translated into lengthy monologues from the waiter and ignoring diner signals that it was time to move along. The food is still good, but you can tell the energy is elsewhere. For example, I had their version of a cheesesteak--sirloin tips with provolone on a sub role. The bread was fresh and crackly, and the was cheese perfectly melted without drying out the bread. However, the sirloin was overcooked and almost impossible to eat in the sandwich format. The wine list is still first rate. Iron Bridge will iron out the kinks and get to the next level. I'm looking forward to it!"

"Iron Bridge is always fabulous - the food is imaginative, flawless, a taste sensation and consistently excellent. We ar enever disappointed here - and the service is always exceptional as well. The menu changes frequently but every dish is incredibly creative and makes you want to beg for more. This is not to mention the wine selections which are without compare anywhere in Howard County. A Black Bass Ceviche the other night was to die for as was all the food we ate - far beyond exceptional. We love coming here and it is not to be missed if you love great food and/or wine. Brunch, lunch, dinner - they do it all in such a superior way. Amazing - best of all, consistently amazing!"

"Who would have thought that this fine dining restaurant would be found in Columbia, MD. Friends suggested IBWC as our next monthly get together... we like to try restaurants of all kinds all over the area. IBWC is a small and intimate restaurant with an amazing wine list. This restaurant also has a small bar for locals and displays it's huge wine collection on the walls. This establishment is also a local wine store. The service is warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. All of our dishes were outstanding but I must say that the sousvide chicken was amazing! Tender, full of flavor with a crisp skin... I cant wait to go back for this."

"I went to Iron Bridge Wine Co. with a friend for lunch and it was lovely. Quiet, quaint atmosphere, excellent service and tasty food. I didn't try any of the more adventurous menu items, but my simple lunch was very well done. The cabernet wine flight went perfectly with my steak. Desserts were outstanding. I had strawberry-rhubarb with peppercorn ice cream and wife had double chocolate mousse. Both desserts were matched with coffee choices of wife's decaf latte and my coffee with expresso shot. Service was fantastic; waiters were excellent at explaining choices since we were first-timers."

"We brought some discerning, foodie friends visiting from out of town to the restaurant, and Iron Bridge did not disappoint. We had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal. All of the salads and entrees were excellent, but the pork cheeks with the gnocchi was the hit of the night. Our waiter (wish I could remember his name), was a gem. The only slight drawback is that the restaurant is a little too loud for my preference. Still, despite that, highly recommended."

After we ordered the appetizers, came by again to see if we were ready to order the main before we even had the appetizers. This continued throughout our meal. Additionally, he talked too much and we were not confident that he knew what he was talking about regarding wine choices."

"My friend and I went to Iron Bridge Wine Company on a friend's recommendation. It would have been a perfect night, were we not both vegetarians. I'm not a preachy veghead, and I suppose we could have called ahead and asked for some sort of special menu. No matter where you go these days it seems you can find at least 4 or 5 vegetarian options on the menu. However, as it was, there was one pasta entree to choose from. The meat menu looked diverse and sounded tasty! My friend and I had the cheese plate selection (lovely) and the brussels sprouts (wonderful), and then we left to get Indian food. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer, service was great. I would recommend this to non-vegetarians."

"My second trip to Iron Bridge was enjoyable but less so than the first visit. It was a special girl's night out/first night out for a new mom, and she was very excited about trying Iron Bridge for the first time. We had reservations, which made the entry pleasant. We were quickly seated and served water by an attentive server's assistant. Our waitress was friendly but seemed to be busy as she was frequently delayed in returning to our table. The menu changes, and there were few options for vegetarians or individuals avoiding dairy products. The wine was fantastic, and we were so appreciative of being able to try a few wines before committing to a glass. I would like to try Iron Bridge again, with hope for a fresh and light food menu."

"Iron Bridge hasn't had a burger on the dinner menu in years. When they did it, they did it right. The burgers we enjoyed were juicy and tasted divine. Maybe it had something to do with the house made BBQ sauce or the fried green tomato. Whatever it was, we loved it. It's a large burger, and the three in our party who enjoyed it heartily recommend it. If possible, get the lunch fries, which are outstanding. Iron bridge never disappoints!"

"my only complaint is that we could have done with a small table lamp or candle as the emnus were near imposible to read in the lighting. The sweet-potato/oyster bisque rocked and the calamari plentiful though the olive oil cake was a little dense for my taste but the fruit toppiing was a nice touch. Oh and the wine BANFI was great too. Overall, I would definitely visit again."
