"Went for brunch. Wait staff was unattentive. Never offered us more than one coctail and had to ask for coffee multiple.times. I very rarely leave less than a 23% gratutiy but made an exception in this case. Food and atmosphere is fine. The management needs to monitor service much more closely."

"Was in Port Jeff for business and stayed and ate at Danford's. Beautiful, scenic location overlooking the ocean. Food was solid good to above average, nothing spectacular. Had their house salad which was very good and swordfish. Done perfectly.

"We have had dinner at Wave every weekend for the past month. We both agree it is one of the nicest restaurants around. Price is good, food is delicious, and the staff is always accommodating (with the exception of having to wait at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes waiting to give them our name for our reservations). Overall, very pleased, great evening."

"When I made the reservation on OpenTable I specified that I wanted a table near the window with a water view and that if any parties where scheduled for that night (4/12/2013) that I would like to reschedule. When we arrived it was really noisey due to a sweet 16 party upstairs. Then we were seatted away from the window. I asked for the window seat and they told me it was reserved so I stated that it was reserved by me! A few minutes later someone came over and explained the mistake so we got the table near the window and some explaination about how the sweet 16 party was not scheduled when I frist made the reservation (yeah right!). Anyway the food was excellent. This is by far the best food in Port Jefferson."

"We had 7:30 reservations but were told we would have to wait 30 minutes for a table. I thought the purpose of a reservation was to ensure a table right away. When I complained to the manager they scurried to set up a table, which still took about 20 minutes. The table was set up in a room they weren't using with no other diners at the several empty tables. We like this restaurant, convenient location, good food, water view but were unhappy our table wasn't ready."

"Different idea to have a fish spread with bread but was not impressed with it at all. Baked clams were great. We would not ever recommend the Cauliflower soup though, no flavor. and for a seafood restaurant we expected a chowder of some sort to be offered. Ceasar salad tasted as expected. Meat ravioli and lobster risotto were both delicious and well portioned. Chocolate cake for 2 not that special. graham cracker crust could have been left out and more soft chocolate cake would have mad it better. service was very good. Timing of food was very good. We didn't feel rushed. It was a bit drafty by the windows but view was nice even though it is winter."

"On a Thursday night in February this restaurant was the perfect place for a special occasion. There were barely any other filled tables and we were seated next to the window looking out at the water. We ate bacon wrapped figs and I had some of the best bass I've ever had. It probably gets a little more busy during high season and on weekends but for a date or quiet dinner during the week, it's a great choice."
