"This is a somewhat expensive place. Flavored were there, but it was very obvious that the food was prepared in advance, like for a banquet or wedding, and finished off for service. I was with two others, and everything was overdone. A shrimp dish, a chicken dish, and a fish dish."

"A wedding was at the restaurant last night, so perhaps that stressed the kitchen! It was a very hot night, so we began at the inside bar - that was fine. Salad was good, also. Things went downhill after that. Halibut was overcooked and dry. Strip steak (ordered medium rare) was cooked to grey-brown. Desserts were barely passable. We will not rush back there!"

"Looking for a decent place for dinner last Monday we were pleased to find the WCI open. My girl and I arrived little early and had a cocktail at the open air bar in the garden. Staff was great and they were having a 3 for 2 special with the tapas menu. But it got a little cool and smoking is allowed outside so we opted to dine inside. It wasn't very busy. Our waitress was great and we shared a house salad , small order of calamari and a main course of scallops. The was well prepared and we wer eto full for dessert. We would definitely go back. Only gripe is smoking being allowed at outdoor bar. Otherwise,it was perfect"

"We were very pleased with our first visit to Washington Crossing Inn. The Inn itself is amazing, but the staff from top to bottom were friendly and efficient, without being pushy or overbearing. The cuisine was exquisite, and the service was first class.
To be honest, we live an hour away, and we mainly came up to spend the evening with the incredible Scoville Blues Band. They always put on a great show, and Saturday night was no exception. We were also celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, which made our experience that much more memorable.
Having had such a wonderful time all the way around, we will undoubtedly be back."

"I had one of the best dishes I have ever tasted - the chowder with roasted cod, cockles, and potatoes. Wow! My husband's Scottish salmon was a very generous portion, cooked to just the right temperature, and presented beautifully with Swiss chard and rice. The service was caring and paced just right."

"Highly recommend the WCI for that special occasion where guests appreciate the dining experience rather the "let's go out to eat" regimen. We chose the indoor dining option and were seated in a cozy, elegant dining room. Our hostess, Lynn, was terrific and appreciated the occasion of my wife's birthday. Our server, Lucy, and wait staff were personable and attentive through the evening. Dining room was immaculate, ready for a military white glove inspection. The gin martinis rivaled my best efforts; appetizers, calamari and red beet salad were terrific; entrees, Scottish salmon and Lancaster filet mignon were A+."

"My wife and I were married at the Washington Crossing Inn in 2004 and we have been in love with the place ever since. We have been back for brunch, lunch, and dinner numerous times on birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions and we consider it our special place for celebrations. The food is always amazing and the staff are wonderful. We were just there for our son's college graduation for dinner and we can't wait to come back for Father's Day brunch !!"

"One might think that this delightful Inn....at a touristy destination (Washington and the Delaware stuff) might be ordinary. It is not!! The food is great, rooms beautifully put together and....lotsa people eating outdoors.
And if you find Jennifer "S".....the charmer from Century 21......you'll have an even better dining experience.
Wonderful Roast Beef (haven't had it in 10 years)......Seafood Chowder and assorted appetizers....(delicious Malbec by the glass)...make this a find. Enjoy!!"

"The building (interior/exterior) and grounds are beautiful. The service (hostess/server) were very good. We went for lunch and we were asked inside or out but not told that outside there was a 3-course (one price) meal option available in the garden versus a more expensive lunch inside. Meal presentation was very good. Lunch meal options were unusual, but good. Overall nice lunch, very comfortable interior, but food a bit pricey."

"Not crowded which means we heard everything the loud woman in the same room as us had to say! Horrible to listen to her.
The food...pear salad was excellent, the house salad too heavy on the dressing. The salmon dish was just fair should have been better, the chard was undercooked spinach would be a better option. Bread was stale!! service attentive and a bit rushed but it wasn't busy.
The remodeling looks great, wish it was better. Will give it another try.

"My mother and I enjoyed a beautiful afternnon at the Washington Crossing Inn for afternoon tea. The Tea Service was wonderful. The tea sandwiches were delicious as were the pastries. "We like to do brunch and there are not a lot of places that have brunch these days. We decided to try The Washington Crossing Inn for brunch and we were pleasantly surprised with their set-up. The food though no a huge selection was very good and our server Anna Maria was fantastic! Weather permitting, dining outside is a treat with all the trees, plants and flowers surrounding the dining area. Overall we had a very good, enjoyable experience. Would go there again. We would like to try their lunch or dinner menu."

"Our food was excellent last Sunday at the Inn, from the bread basket to the last detail of our meals. We were too stuffed to be able to try the desserts so I will leave that for another visit. Two of our party had the checked which was prepared with a cranberry relish and a delicious chestnut stuffing. One had prime rib, also done perfectly and delicious. The last of our party had the salmon accompanied by kale and rice. Fish was cooked perfectly. Oh, forgot to mention my favorite: the pear and arugula salad! We will definitely return!"

"We had dinner this past weekend at WCI. This was the second excellent meal in the past few months. The chef has definitely brought a fresh change to the menu. The fricasee salad was light and tasty. I had the halibut with a pesto/pistachio paste on the side - the presentation was superb. My wife had the scallops, again well presented and excellently prepared. Desert was also delicious. Best of all, the service was what we have had at other fine restaurants. We ate in the recently renovated "covered bridge" room. It was very cozy and comfortable. As frequent diners of the Yardley Inn, the Washington Crossing Inn definitely is bringing its game forward. We will definitely return as we look forward to the chef's Spring menu."

"This restaurant is known for its well-deserved ambience -- in the summer it must be gorgeous with sculptured garden walks and charming setting.
The food is great -- but pricey [everything is ala carte] With one bottle of house wine for four people [with two sharing a delicious prime rib -- and only salad appetizer plus special bread], the tab was $150 before tip.
I strongly recommenend that every adult should visit this restaurant at least once -- it would be worth it."

"We visited on Sunday, March 24th to tour the Inn for a wedding. We stopped afterward for their brunch. They had plentiful choices of both breakfast and lunch with a great sized table of desserts. The 5 other people I was with loved the food and desserts. Everyone left full and happy. The server was gracious and stopped to speak with us many times as she was also a wedding hostess. Everyone made us feel welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Inn. We will be back!
The vodka rigatoni was awesome. It was a hit with everyone."

"My friend and I were seated in a back room where there were some other diners. We were handed our menus and then left there for about 20 minutes until I flagged down a bus boy to ask if we had a waiter! He said that he would "see if she was available!" When she finally came to us, she was visibly shaken as if she had just had a fight with a coworker. My friend and I knew that we both wanted a certain cocktail. I started to tell her our drink order when she began reciting the specials, etc...and said can I get you a drink...as if she had to perform from her script. She was clearly not listening...The rest of the evening went fairly well. The chocolate cake, however, was dry, and we sent that back."

"We stopped in for their annual Thursday night Irish Night gearing up for St. Patty's Day. The package included an Irish drink (your choice), an Irish appetizer WC called a "box" but it was similar to a coddle. Rich and savory lamb stew was the entree finished off with bread pudding with a dollop of Bailey's ice cream.
The Malarky's were playing a mixture of Irish and contemporary music. A very enjoyable evening."

"Visiting Bucks County for weekend, looking for a place to have lunch. Washington Crossing Inn located in Washington Crossing State Park was perfect.. We were not sure of dress code, restaurant looks rustic from outside, but very elegant inside. Hostess assured us our casual dress was fine. Very intimate/cozy atmosphere. We found the menu to offer a wide variety of choices. Couple at the next table had ordered the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were so large they caught my attention. We ordered and shared, the shrimp were like mini lobster tails and delicious. A huge bread basket was delivered ,a variety of bread and rolls, all just baked . WOW, we were so impressed. Lastly, filet mignon sandwiches which were spectacular. Must go back soon."
