Elevation Chop House and Skybar
The view from the Elevation Chophouse is as spectacular as the food. The entire front of the multi-story structure is constructed of glass panels with a view of Kennesaw Mountain National Park and the aircraft landing and taking off only a few feet away on McCollum Airfield. Only Restaurant in Georgia that makes Liquid Nitrogen Margarita and Martinis Tableside. Chef Driven Menu, all menu items made from scratch daily.

"I love the fun yet relaxed atmosphere of Elevation. I have booked this restaurant for a group/special occasion before and their planning service was very easy to work with. Being at the airport gives it a bit of a 'special' atmosphere as you can watch the planes take off and land up close. Often seeing some older "bi-plane" type models. The service was great and even as the restaurant filled up, the noise level was such that we were still able to hold a conversation at the table."

"The food was pretty good, but everything was too rushed. It's not like they were busy, but we got our appetizer and before we got 2 bites, the salads were out. Weren't halfway through with our salad and the steaks were out. Not the relaxing dinner we were looking forward to..."

"They overbooked on Mother's Day. I made reservations a week early and the restaurant called me 3 times to confirm and change my reservation time. We still had to wait 20 minutes extra for our table. The food was ok nothing special. I had to send my son's pancakes back because they were ice cold. I won't go back on a busy holiday. Maybe on a regular week night."

"Reservation stated we needed a highchair. Several booths downstairs avail, waited for 10 min then took us upstairs where there were many tables avail(why did we have a 10 min wait??). Put us at a booth which was raised and could not accomadate a highchair. The mgr came up and said we could not be at a window table due to the parties they were expecting. At this point, I did not care where we sat, just needed a highchair. Took us back downstairs, carrying our 2 kids and stroller (nobody offered to assist my wife in carrying the stroller and my hands were full with the kids). Then when they sat us, waited and still were not brought a highchair. Asked another server to bring us one. Poor service, not to mention the food was sub-par."

"In a nutshell... the manager ruined this dining experience. The food was delicious (once we finally received it) and our waiter, Scott, was absolutely wonderful. However, we were NOT happy with the overall experience for a few reasons.
#1- no use making a reservation because we still had to wait 45 minutes.
#2- our food came out at completely different times- so much so that the first 2 people were DONE eating before the last person got his food.
#3- when asked to see the manager, his excuse was that our food order was DROPPED ON THE FLOOR! Even if that was the truth, we did not want to know that.
The manager clearly does not care about customer service here, which is a shame because the food and ambiance is pretty great."

"I have mixed feelings about Elevation. Some trips were great, and some not so great. It has so much potential, great atmosphere and location at McCollum Field. The service and food is hit or miss, sometimes great, and other times blah. On this trip we went for lunch with a group for my birthday, and we weren't impressed. Salad was mixed greens with iceberg (yucky iceberg!), tomatoes and some slimy cucumbers (that I was afraid to give my niece, who kept asking me for the cucumbers). The caprese sandwich left a lot to be desired! Wilted basil and no sauce, was very bland. I guess this isn't the best choice for vegetarians."

"This is a well hidden gem! I've lived in the area over 10yrs and had no clue such a place was there! The tbone was melt in your mouth delicious. "This was our first visit to Elevation. We were disappointed once the food arrived. My husband's steak wasn't cooked the way he ordered and my entire meal was wrong. The server was new and had to make so many trips back and forth b/c she kept forgetting items. We weren't impressed. When we arrived we sat at the bar. We were the ONLY ones sitting at the bar and the bartender took at least 10 minutes to even acknowledge us. It was another 5-7 before my husband had to get her attention so we could order drinks. Disappointing."

"Waited several minutes after being seated for someone to greet us and take our drink order. Food was good but our waitress was not friendly. I did not get the warm and fuzzy feeling. I will not eat here again and this was my first visit."

"This is a very kid friendly restaurant. There were seven of us in our party, including 3 small children. We had reservations and didn't have to wait to be seated. The views were great, but don't expect to see too much on a rainy or cloudy day. Overall, the food was good, there are some menu items that I perfer over others, but all in all pretty good meal."

"My wife and I went there for our 16th wedding anniversary, and we were delighted. They had her favorite wine, which is the only restaurant weve ever been to that has her brand. They have a great martini selection, and the menu was fantastic! The ambience was great as well. I do recommend going at night, as dinig area overlooks the runway, and the lights were beautiful."

"This was only the second time I had been to this restaurant. I went to lunch here about a year ago with some work friends. My husband had been wanting to try it out so we finally found a chance to try it. I had heard mixed reveiws about the food; however, both of us were pleased with what we got. We wanted to dine & watch the aircraft take off; however, we did not see but one landing & one take off (maybe lunch or a clearer day would be better).

"Excellent service by Rahsi and a really nice view of the small airport runway. The food was good as well. The wife enjoyed the Pasta Vodka and I had the Ribeye. The Ribeye came out medium rare instead of medium as requested - but I'm fine with medium rare (just not medium well!). The ribeye was a bit fattier than most ribeyes I've had before either cooking myself or ordering in a restaurant."
