"Took my parents for brunch this past weekend and we absolutely loved it! Waiter was a little slow but then again it could have been because it was Mother's Day. We had a good time anyway because it gave us time to chat while waiting. I will absolutely come here again for lunch or Sunday brunch, and I will definitely use Open Table again. As soon as we got there we were seated, no waiting for a table! =)"

"This is the second year in a row that we have taken my uncle to celebrate his birthday. This one was his 89th birthday. He has dined here more than a dozen times and I have dined at the Village Tavern three times. It has been enjoyable everytime. The service was excellent as was the food. The menu selection is great. There's lots to chose from."

"Everything was very good about our dining. From check-in to the waiter to the food was on point. My husband enjoyed his chicken teriyaki with rice and veggies but complained that the portion could have been bigger. I enjoyed the new england clam chowder and my cowboy burger with bacon, caramelized onions and cheese was a winner."

"I ordered a specialty salad (thai chicken) for dinner which was smaller than the side salad that accompanied my husbands steak dinner. The salad was supposed to have chicken and it did, but only a few tiny tidbits. Everything else was slivered in it, no big pieces of anything, but the flavor was good. The portion was so very small. I didn't realize that I could have ordered bread with it as it is available upon request. I wish the waitress told us that because I ate the whole salad and was still hungry. My husbands ribeye was great, cooked perfectly medium rare. The server was nice enough if a little bit flighty. I get that the atmoshpere is tavernesque, but it was way too dark inside."

"Went for a late Sunday brunch with my family and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were lucky enough to be sat near the fire so it was quite lovely. I ordered the wedge salad and my family each got different eggs Benedict. We were all very pleased with our meals. We ordered creme brulee for dessert which was a delicious, indulgent treat. The restaurant was busy but we never felt like it was too noisy or overcrowded. Service was good. We will definitely be returning."

"Was seated immediately. Took a while before our waitress Paula to notice us. Service was really slow. Everyone around us were getting their food but our was delayed. Manager did come by and got someone.'s dinner when he saw we had one entrees missing and we were all waiting for a while."

"All around bad experience, would not recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys food or expects decent service. Starting with the lazy valet who refused to speak English & wanted me to pay and keep my keys, to the unenthusiastic hostess with a long face who in spite of my reservation told me she was out of pagers and to "wait over there until there's a table". I stood in the lobby for 15 minutes while walk-ins got seated until I reminded her we were waiting. The server was nice enough, but we waited for drinks for a while. The cocktails were just fair and the food horribly salty and badly presented with spills around the plate. Will not come back! Definitely kid-friendly - listened to crying, screaming baby the whole meal!"

"Village Tavern has always been one of our personal favorites. We go there for many special occasion celebrations. Food is always very good and service generally the same. Love the environment and the ambiance. Really disappointed Saturday in that while we had an 8:00 P.M. reservation and were promptly seated, we were advised after we had placed our order for a bottle of wine, appetizer, and entrée that they were already out of all Prime Rib .............a signature dish of the Village Tavern and the reason we had chosen to go there Saturday to celebrate Valentine's Day. While food is always very good to excellent we were majorly disappointed as our hearts were definitely set on Prime Rib."

"The waiter who served my family and I was extremely generous. He made sure everything was good with our orders. Also, the food was delicious. However, the only complain I have is that we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated,, even with the reservation I made. Other than that, we had a pleasant time,"
