"Our waiter was appropriate and informative and gave the perfect amount of attention. We were celebrating my wife's birthday & they surprised her with a complimentary dessert, nice touch. Our favorites were the Brussels sprouts with carnitas & the sun dried tomato and bacon Caesar salad. This was a menu that included a ton of attractive choices. They had also had 1/2 off a variety of cocktails through 7:30pm and were promot to inform us. We would definitely come back,,,"

"The appetizers were amazing and filled with flavor however the main courses were rather bland and no notable flavors...just ordinary. We had to ask for bread and never got the house popcorn or something like that. We would come back for the appetizers. They did try to make our night special offering us complimentary anniversary champagne."

"We all had fish and the grouper and swordfish were delicious. We had a great waiter and the wine list had a number of great Merlots. Only drawback is lack of parking, but that is true anywhere in Atlantic beach."

"We went for a special occasion, the food was wonderful. The only thing that puzzled me was the choice for the reservation was really early 600ish pm. When we got there only one other table was seated. The place was empty. Would of liked a late time. Next time probably will not use open table will call the restaurant directly."

"Great spot. Been going there for years. The menus is varied enough, and the specials are always, well special! Great flavors and fresh local product make this a favorite. When at the beach, make sure you give Ocean 60 a try for a great dining experience. More upscale than other spots in the local area."

"Open Table reservation was for 7:30 PM, but no table was available until 7:50.....a bit excessive a wait. Perhaps ecause we were seated outside, and the most distant spot from the door, service was slow to non-existent. Long periods of absence continued throughout; requested bread, evident on other tables, took 15 minutes and a second request to be delivered; and a final long period of waiting for the check capped the night. The foot was excellent but a birthday celebration was chilled by the very low level of service. Reluctantly we left a small top when none would be justified."

"The service and the meal were fabulous. Others in our party are serious foodies and Ocean 60 passed muster- they said they would come back in a minute.
We placed our reservation via OpenTable. This was a good and bad thing. Good, because it was convenient. Bad, because I don't think the restaurant management staff checked it, received their fax or whatever OpenTable does to sync with actual restaurant availability. It turned out that although our reservation was accepted, the restaurant was 100% booked for a private party that night. We were accommodated outside with a nice table and the server worked hard for us. We were seated next to a six person bachelorette party that was WAY too noisy however."

"Over all I thought the experience at ocean 60 was good. The only drawback that I have for ocean 60 was the flounder dish. The dish was good fish dish but the fish that was served was not flounder. It was grouper and we had to call this to the attention of the waiter(who did a very good job for us). She had to go back to the kitchen and varify the fish was indeed grouper and not flounder, like it said on the menu. I would of liked to have been told that they were out of flounder instead of serving me another fish that I really do not care for. I would of ordered another dish."

"Congenial and savvy staff. Broad spectrum menu. Hot crusted bread to the table with an olive oil, spices and butter mixture: most unusual but delicious. Escargot Is served off shell in a tomato-based sauce which overwhelms the flavor of perfectly cooked and tender escargot. Sangria Salad, fantastic blend of traditional Ceasar salad greens with a fresh fruit cocktail, misses the mark with sweet almost sugary dressing. A simple vinaigrette would have paired beautifully. If menu picks were reviewed singly, a 5-star rating for the Spicy Shrimp tapas would certainly have been awarded. Calamari was tender and easy on the palette. Gorgeous tuna steak entrée followed but too much food preceded its arrival to enjoy. Return visit is assured."

"In the interests of being fair, we have enjoyed several meals here. This was a first time for the international meal. The first two courses, appetizers and salad were very good. The main courses, the lamb and the stuffed fish, not very good at all. The lamb didn't taste like lamb to both of us (we love lamb) and it was somewhat tough and chewy considering this is a 'stew' type cooking preparation. The fish was unappetizing, not just to us but at least to one other woman next to us who didn't care for it. It was fresh but the preparation was not right and though I asked for only a half portion, I ate only two bites. The desserts, melon balls in a pleasant syrup, and almond flavored cookies, were adequate- not exciting."

"I have been here many times and the food is better than most in the area. But, periodically, the service suffers. We were there on a Friday evening @ 8pm so it was busy but dying down. Although the waiter was over to our table pretty quickly, we waited 30 minutes before we received our drinks. I was really losing my patience. Once he waiter realize that, service improved. The restaurant is small and it's adjacent to the bar where they also seat diners. The music the evening we were there was loud but since we were in the restaurant is was tolerable. The food made up for the service. Both entrees we very good. Well prepared and present flounder and grouper. We enjoyed the meal & will continue to visit this restaurant but service please!"

"This is our second time to enjoy this restaurant (we live in North Carolina). In January we had stopped here with some friends on the way to Port Canaveral for a cruise and we just had to come back! This time we were on our way to Winter Park for a family wedding. My husband had arranged to celebrate our anniversary here since it was coming up soon, and the restaurant, including our waiter, went out of their way to make our evening special. Ocean 60 is fantastic. I don't think we'll make another trip to Florida without stopping here."

"Although we had reservations, the only seating available was in the lounge. My only fault was with the musicians. Their classical guitar music was outstanding but the room wasn't big enough to handle all of the amplification. It spoiled the ambiance that they created and it wore on our nerves after awhile. We had to shout at eash other to be heard. They were too good to need all the noise."

"We arrived on time at 6:00 pm, and even though the place was mostly empty, we had trouble getting seated. After replying to 3 people who we were, we were told we would have to take a table in the bar by the front door. I requested one of the many more appropriate spots, and after delay it was elevated to the manager, who, after further delay and telling us we should have specified proper seating in the reservation, finally acquiesced and seated us at an empty window seat. Thankfully, after that seemingly unnecessary negotiation, the meal went along well enough, with the food good and plentiful. Sadly, what I remember most was the silly hassle to get seated..."

"Booked my reservation for Valentines day on OpenTable. Arrived just before the time and had to wait at the bar 15 mins before being seated. No biggie considering it was a special occasion. Was seated near the door not an issue normally but it was only 50 outside and each time the door opened, a blast of cool air swept across. Service was attentive and not obtrusive. Would have rated it outstanding but he missed putting bread on the table until I asked for it. Courses came out like clockwork. Food was outstanding! The "Love Potion" sparkling wine mix was awful. Tasted like Koolaid with too much water, no sugar and was warm. Despite a couple of misses, this is a go back to restaurant. I would recommend it to friends."

"Great experience visiting on a business trip, the restaurant was able to accommodate my gluten and dairy intolerance. The food was delicious and delicately prepared. I'd go back in a heartbeat!"

"excellent experience. There were 6 of us. we were seated on time with our reservation, we had a show to get at at 8 and John our server was terrific about getting us served and getting us out of there on time. Food was excellent and the presentation was incredible."

"Excellent dinner choice for my business group of 6. Service was excellent, and the waiter did a great job explaining the ever changing menu. Ocean produces new dishes daily based on locally sourced foods. We are blessed in Jacksonville with abundant and varied fish stocks so fresh means caught the day or night before. Did I say excellent?"
