"My daughters and I went to Tomatoes to celebrate Mothers Day. We were very pleased with our overall experience. Our server was knowledgeable and helped us with our questions and selections. The food was delightful. From our sushi and broccoli salad appetizers to our crab cake, filet, and moroccan chicken entrees - everything was perfect! The atmosphere in dining room was lovely, quiet and serene. We will be back!"

"This is a great place but I think they are getting a bit comfortable and food is falling short of what it should be for the rep and the price and how long they have been in business.I love the place and hope they upgrade the menu to being a great and yummy place to dine.
Ribs are big and tough to chew. Sushi was fresh but was just ok. Had rack of lamb and again not cut and just put on the plate. Nothing great. Lamb can be crispy and tender. Had a pasta dish that was just decent. This place has been around way too long to be just ok. I hope that they stop going on old news and create some new great dishes with some real flavor. I hope it doesn't fade into the past and keeps going by putting some effort into their dishes again. XOXO"

"I really enjoyed the food; the service was good but my guest andI I decided to engage in conversation during the end of the meal. The waiter and waitress must have asked us 'if they could take our plates?' or 'are you done yet?' I felt they were very pushy and not couteous in their pursuit to get our plates. The action of the wat staff that really amazed me was that after requesting our dinner plates, about 6 times, they asked if we wanted dessert, coffee, or anything else; the audacity. How do you square bugging me to take my dinner plates before I am done with offering us more plates.. I would like to stress that this this restaurant has very good food, nice ambiance, good service overall; I have ate here many times and plan to continue"

"Great meal. Kindof strange that you walk into a bar and have to wander around to the back to find the restaurant host. Also, the soup was awful- pitched as a seafood soup, it was premade bag soup (salty soggy overcooked veggies- tasted like Campbell's canned vegetable) with a few pieces of crab thrown on top. Boo. I think (hope) it was a fluke though, because everything else we had was excellent."

"I had been to tomatoes once before and loved the pasta dish. I really looked forward to bringing my date for an intimate, tasty meal. Needless to say I was disappointed. The sushi was spectacular but the filet was over cooked and tough. The hostess wanted to seat us in the dining area which reminded me of a diner atmosphere but we saw an open booth which was very private and intimate. Needless to say, I wont return nor recommend Tomatoes to any friends. If anyone is going I would suggest to stay away from the filet."

"I had heard great things about Tomatoes in Margate but had never ventured out, until Restaurant Week. I am so glad Tomatoes offered the Restaurant Week menu on the last Saturday otherwise I might have not discovered this great place! Although the food was "good," neither my wife nor I found it extraspecial; for example, my chicken breast was mildry dry, perhaps overcooked, and the sauce was sparse at best.
The service could have been better; for example, our crunchy tuna roll appetizer was delayed by a few minutes as I had to ask repeatedly for soy sauce (the dipping bowl arrived, but no sauce); I had to almost scream for a refill of water, and most upsetting was the response of the water (a response of eye-rolling) when my wife asked what a certain term implied in terms of food preparation and content.
