"Went for Mother's Day. Was told brunch would be $45 for adults and $19 for kids. For that kind of money i expected a really nice spread with lots of high end choices. What we received was average food and average to poor service. They had a band playing and the speakers were turned up so loud you couldn't talk. If I wanted that ambience I would have saved $100 and gone somewhere else for bad crab legs like h00ters. Even when customers complained about the noise the waitstaff did nothing nor did the manager other than get offended. Maybe the band was his family or something. View of water was nice and the weather was great. In the future perhaps they should stick to what the do best and a brunch Buffett is not it."

"My reservation was for 2:30 pm, 8 people, and some got a little late there, different reasons, one it was raining,

"Made the reservation 3 weeks in advance for a party of 5, and upon arriving on time had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We were then seated at a booth made for 4 people and our party had 5, they proceeded to pull up a chair.... After asking for a different table and we were given a much better table....too bad we had to ask."

"I am writing this email ,I am very upset and disappointed We just returned from what was suppose to be a special evening celebrating a birthday with our family together which doesn't happen often as my son is in CA.The chart house is his favorite restaurant and you can see by our laundry membership we visit often and always bring guests.
this evening the service was awful!!!!!!!!!!! Our waiter was Joe.. My husband's meal was very overcooked He sent it back,we waited and waited and he encouraged us to eat as our dinner was getting cold. Finally about 10 minutes after we all finished eating his meal arrived so he had watched us eat and then we watched him
the manager did not take his meal off the bill nor did she offer anything."

"What made the experience good was the complimentary parking and the intracoastal view. Food and ambiance : forgettable. One appetizer we asked for was the three humus, well, she served us small squeared pita bread like 7 pieces, still needed more,(we were a party of 5) and she brought never enough for the amount of hummus we had. My friend asked for a volcano cake as dessert and the lady said it would take 30 minutes to make, so she should ask for something else.....really ? Why do they have it in the menu?
Even though there were practically 2-3 other tables having lunch (1pm) the woman who served our table seemed disconnected and bitter.
I paid my account of $66 with cash -$80....never got receipt and cash back, she assumed her tip!!!"

"Sunday brunch with a water view is a cant miss. Same great location for this restaurant with new name and owners (formerly Charlies Crab) and its new inside decor is well done. Still, the choice seats have to be outside where the intercoastal waterway and boats of every kind await. The Maryland Benedict is outstanding. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Perfect balance of traditional Benedict with scrumpcious fresh seafood. My wife enjoyed the Over the top frech toast with its thick slice of bread and loads of fruit "stuffing". The Mango Mojito was OK but the mango flavor wasnt prominent. Others in the party loved the Bloody Marys. This South Florida locale is a great find and new ownership is keeping standards high."

"We visited Chart House last year while on vacation and again this year. The food is OK but not to the level it should be for the price. Our biggest dislike was the service. Both visits, we waited for everything and also needed to look for the waiter. Food came very slowly with long gaps for waiting. We were told several times that the kitchen was way to the back of the building and it takes some time to get it to the table. We then talked to another couple at our condo that was told the same story. They also said they would not go back. We decided that we would take the Chart House off out list for dinning during our visit next year."

"Disappointed with food. Ordered filet migon. Overcooked and hard on outside. Not enough vegetable selections. Not all inclusive meal. Had to order ala carte vegetable due to not included with main course. Only 2 dessert choices. Had to pay for bottled water. Miss old location."

"My husband and I came last Friday night and at outside. The view was beautiful to sit and watch the water. It was very romantic and e food was delicious. Our waiter Leo was very nice and helpful. We ordered a jumbo lump crab cake for appetizer which was so good! I ordered the pan seared sea scallops and I loved every bite. My husband ordered the grouper and said it was really good but just a tad too dry. For dessert we had cream brule and that was awesome as well. I would definitely come back here and do recommend it!"

"Went on Easter Sunday. Wonderful location, but crowded. Food was good, but not exceptional . . . not up to usual standards, and they ran out of some items that I skipped the first time down the buffet line, but were gone by my second trip (including macaroni and cheese, of all things!). Desert buffet was a disappointment. Over-priced for what they served. Charging $3.50 for a cup of coffee on top of the already stiff fee was too much. However, I still plan to return (but maybe not as often), because I like the restaurant for its view and general ambience, and the service is always good."

Then downhill. Pricey menu without much thought. Overcooked food then not hot. More lunch than breakfast brunch.
Only scrambled eggs or omlets, hash brown potatoes, bacon, sausage. Hard curled up premade waffles & pancakes those were made to order.
Rest was cheeses seafood cool in chaffers . Cold salads, Pastries were almost nonexistent but toaster with bagles & toast available.

"A bit pricey this resteraunt caters to an upscale fort lauderdale crowd. The wonderful patio seating and panaramic windows make every table a water view. While its very classy it was not pretensious and the staff was great with our young children. We will definitely be back!"

"Booked Easter Brunch. Restaurant was not crowed when we arrived and it still took 20 minutes to place a drink order. Waitress never returned to ask if we wanted another. While there was a variety of food, most of it was mediocre at best. I've eaten here many times for regular lunch and dinner and was majorly disappointed with this meal. This is the second bad meal I have had there in a year and will not return."

"Overall, the food was good. Not anything to write home about, but good. The atmosphere inside was fine. However, it was clear that most people come there to eat outside, as it is right on the water and has a great view. Unfortunately, we made the reservation too late and outside was booked. Service was very good. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. They also have a kids' menu, which was great."

"Very disappointed, gloomy restaurant unless you sit on the outside deck. Was if we stepped back in time, low ceilings and dark. Service slow, food mediocre, appetizers arrive warm, had to send back twice, had taken off our bill. Entrees were "ok". Depressing to think what we paid for the meals. Having dined at many Chart Houses around the state very disappointed. Knew something was up when we sat down and the table next to us was complaining. To many good restaurants in the area, definitely will not return."

"While we had a wonderful time, but all dinners were served very cold. Since we had already waited 1.5 hours for dinner so we didn't send them back. The wait staff was overwhelmed And we always had to flag him down to come to the table. The resturant was full but not crowded. Great view. I would think hard before going back."

"We celebrated my wife's BD with 4 friends and we all said the day was great. The reservations were easy to make along with confirmations. The valet parking service was nice to have and we were greeted nicely by the hostess. Shaniqua, our waitress, was fantastic. She was extremely pleasant, a lot of fun and she knew her stuff. The wine selection was ample and we enjoyed our selection along with appetizers, each entry and desserts. The presentation of personalized menus celebrating my wife's BD was a nice added touch. Again, it was a great dining experience and we were extremely happy to have gone to the Chart House in Fort Lauderdale, FL"

"We were celebrating our 56th anniversary. Our menus were personalized, wait staff, hostess, and general manager all knew this was
our anniversary, greeted us and offered congratulations! One feels very special at Chart House. Food was great. The lobster bisque was delicious. We were there to watch the sunset. Take your sunglasses, it is a bit bright. Prices are a bit high but not totally out of line with other restaurants along the Intracoastal."
