"Everything you order is so good! The portions are served family style and are humongous! Someday I would like to try one of everything. "This was not my first trip to Carmines and it will not be my last - good food, service and great for large groups. I took my daughter and a group of her friends to a play and then diner for her sweet sixteen - the staff took great care of us and made my daughters day quite special."

"We'd been to Carmines several times before. The Server's always mention the size of the portions. However, the Server that we had suggested that instead of a separate pasta dish, we add pasta to our chicken dish. It was not only economically clever, the sauce from the chicken made a fabulous sauce for the pasta. We love Carmines and always go there when we're in the area."

"My family and I had dinner at Carmine's (44th Street) on Saturday night and it was great, as usual. Favorites are Rigatoni Country Style, Chicken Contadina and Caesar Salad. The Saturday night special - Prime Rib Chop was excellent; expensive but worth it! Service was great except for the fact that our wait staff didn't pack up our delicious cheesecake and bread pudding leftovers! Bummer!"

"This restaurant is always full and food is excellent .Portions are extremely big so you can share and enjoy delicious italian pastas and greatttttt seafood ,beer ,wine anything you desire is there ... big and vintage bar .
You can't miss it it is a great experience, try it after theatre .You will always remember it , its a gem. And if you have space left don't miss the sunday dessert ...mmmmmm"

"We entertained European customers. They loved the family style, the friendly and efficient wait staff and were visibly impressed with the massive amounts of great food. They couldn't stop taking pictures of the food! We made reservations online and these were honored immediately we all showed up. And we were out in plenty of time for our play. Couldn't have had more fun."

"We were seated promptly. A request was made for a special table due to it being our anniversary. We were placed in a high traffic area between the stairs and the kitchen. The food was good, not great. The portions were way too large for two. All we ordered was a salad and an entree. They brought out enough for four people. The waiter, Ryan, was excellent though and told us prior to our order that there was going to be a tremendous amount of food. I think that they lost focus on the quality and went all out for the quantity. Not bad...just not as good as I expected."

"Decent food; great service. If you're going to theater, and you have friends/guests in from out of town, then Carmine's is a good swirly spot to take them. Go hungry and without a high bar for haute cuisine. This is no 5-star dining experience for sure, but it's good pre-dinner fun."

"For groups of 4 or more adults Carmine's offers delicious popular Italian dishes. The Carmine's salad is a tasty signature dish to begin the meal. Our group shared chicken Marsala and penne bolognese. Everyone loved both dishes.The portions are more than enough for second helpings. Unfortunately,We were too full to have dessert. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Our server was vivacious, friendly, and very professional. We weren't rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy walking around the theater district before our show."

"Return trip to NYC, so back to Carmine's. Love everything about the place..usually. Service wasn't up to par this time (sorry guys, it's true). Felt she paid a lot more attention to the larger parties in her section. Not much time for a couple of ladies I guess. I would return though..everything is pretty much spot on.
