"I would recommend this restaurant more for drinks and starters. The food was ok but not cooked to my request. Also menu has changed significantly since restaurant changed name, especially losing some signature dishes."

"I came with a group of friends to celebrate their birthdays & party. Although the menu was to my taste some of my guest didn't like the limited selection. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The manager Kim O'Sullivan was so very helpful with making the night really special by giving us a booth in VIP. We will definitely use this spot for our future get togethers."

"We went for the Mother's Day lunch and while the menu had been posted it doesn't seem like they had ever done a buffet before because it was like a set up for a home buffet. The bagels and croissants were hard and cold. Nothing really went together. there was salad with breakfast items and no sides for the bloodiest piece of prime rib I've ever seen!!! It was nasty to look at. I recommend you rethink a buffet for any other occasion until you get a better plan and a better menu. The restaurant it self is beautiful but that brunch was HORRIBLE!!!!!"

"My first time dining at the main restaurant (Bia) and it was a great one. The service was impecabble and the restaurant is beautiful - I enjoyed the ambiance. The Food was rich and well-presented; my husband's entree (flounder) was bland, but the waiter and mgr were quick to compensate with apologies and a new entree (very impressed with that detail). My entree (braised rib) was awesome! Overall, we were pleased and will return..."

"Solas/Bia Restaurant is a wonderfully multifaceted place. Every level is great. I surprised my husband and brought him there for his birthday and he can not stop talking about what a good time he had. I can not wait to go again for a girls night out."

"The restaurant is pleasing to the eye, however, there was no live music as was advertised. We were given menus and upon getting ready to order were told by our server that they had run out of the chicken and short ribs (at 7pm on a Saturday, REALLY!?!?). I ordered Cioppino which is an assortment of seafood in a slightly spicy red sauce with calamarata pasta. The sauce was the only good thing about this dish. The pasta was raw and the shellfish were so small it was not worth the struggle opening them. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake and the server returned to our table to inform us that they had also run out of that. I ordered the key lime panna cotta instead and it had no flavor whatsoever. I do not recommend this place!"

"My sisters came in town from Florida and I wanted to take them to a nice restaurant, they loved it. The lamb and flounder was great. And my waiter was very polite. And have great suggestions from the appetizer, drinks and main entrees.."

"Our night at Solas was nothing short of perfection! It was our 13 year anniversary, and with two small kids under two years of age we NEVER get out. Our server, Sharon, told us about the five course option so we chose that. We then met Bryan Kowalski the head chef and Mark Morrow the wine director. I felt they really cared how special this night was for us. Everytime we thought it just couldn't get any better they would come back and blow our minds! We had permanent smiles the entire night! To top it off one of the managers offered us a bottle of champagne for us to enjoy on the rooftop. This dinning experience is what every single person should enjoy at least once in their lifetime! We will be recommending to everyone!! :)

"We talked about Solas after we left and both found the place delightful - we will go back one more time but we found the Easter Brunch disappointing. The food was cold and sparse compared to other Easter brunches we have attended. However, the ambiance and the service was outstanding. we are hoping that maybe the brunch is not their thing. We were happy to have the fabulous oysters and shrimp with the lamb and ham. However the rest was very disappointing. Keep up the good work with the service and work on the food and you will have a great place."

"They changed the menu and was terrible, not even close to what they had before. Service was very slow as seems they had new unexperienced servers. Will take a long time for us to consider going back."

"We've been to Bia now 3 different times. Once back when it was Solas and twice since they changed the name in December to Bia. Honestly, our first visit back when it was Solas was fine....food and service were good, but the menu lacked a little imagination. Since the name change to Bia, the menu has been a huge improvement with both "foodie" type dishes as well as some basic grilled chops to appeal to the less adventurous palates. Last night, we enjoyed the Cioppino and the duck egg ravioli after sharing the baby octopus appetizer. The Octopus and Ravioli were great, but the Cipoppino stole the show! Service was flawless and unobtrusive and we also were able to find a really nice bottle of wine for less than $50. We'll definitely be bac"

"The Ciopinno is unquestionably the best I have had in North Carolina, if not the best I have had. Service was impeccable and came with a perfect wine pairing. Will defiantly be returning."

"Me and my girlfriend came here for valentines day. Very nice and romantic. I wasn't too fond of the food though. We got the chef special but I'm a picky eater so I'm not big on trying new and different types of food. The wine we had was great. Overall it was a great experience and very nice place for a romantic dinner. (Kinda expensive though) My girl loved it and we had a good time, so that's all that matters. I did get over charged on my bill by $30 once I checked my account but the manager returned my call and it was handled quickly."

"Great service and fantastic ambience. Went here to celebrate an anniversary for dinner with significant other and once Bia found out, they gave us a complementary entree. Food was delicious and our waiter and the host were both knowledgeable and polite! Very nice touch, definitely would recommend a visit here."

"Very nice Valentine's Day menu. Wine we selected was Carletto Family, Pinot Grigio -- very good. I had cioppino -- very large portion, nicely spicy; too much for me to finish. She had the half lobster tail & filet mignon, which I tasted and was delicious. Preceded by great cornbread with butter, and decent Caesar salad. The out of this world dessert involved a lot of chocolate; a mix of chocolate strawberries, white chocolate dipping sauce with some pastries to dip, and some awesome chocolate filled dumpling creations. Service was very good and we were well attended.
Stayed for clubbing & dancing until 1:30 or so and had a terrific time. It was latin night also and the DJs played great stuff."

"We went for Valentine's Day and due to a misunderstanding I got to see how awesome their service really is. On their website it said they had a per fixe menu for valentines day but also listed their full menu so I thought the per fixe was just an option. Upon being seated we found out that the pre fixe menu was the only thing available and it was more than we had planned on spending. Our waiter was great and said he didn't want us to have to get up and go somewhere else so he would go check with his manager. He returned with regular menus and told us we could order whatever we liked. That's customer service at its finest. I would definitely recommend Solas as a romantic date night restaurant."

"I listed in my reservation that we were doing a pre-St. Valentine's Day dinner but no extra courtesy or remarks were given by any of the staff. We were seated promptly upon our arrival. The hostess service was good and the server was very good. The restaurant was empty so there wasn't much of an ambience. They had some jazz playing outside on the patio but we could not hear it or really take advantage of it. As far as the food goes, the presentation was okay, but it wasn't flavorful at all. The one good thing were the truffle fries for an appetizer. We had the fried chicken entrée and the flounder entrée, but again the flavor was lacking in both of these dishes. We just decided to go somewhere else for dessert."

"Overall awesome food was wonderful and our server scott went above and beyond. The Butcher's block was the only thing I wasn't a fan of. The food all tasted awesome. I had the duckk egg ravioli which was very imaginative and well put together. We will definitely be returning. Im glad to see you still have truffle fries."
