"Had a great time celebrating my 36th birthday here with some of my girls. The atomsphere was excellent and what a great added plus that since they knew I was celebrating my birthday they decorated the table with confetti. I was so shocked and happy that they did that for me. My steak was so good, and to my own surprise I didn't use steak sauce on it. The icing on the cake for me was as a birthday gift to me they comped my dessert and on the plate of my chocolate cake I selected they wrote "Happy Birthday" in chocolate sauce with a candle in my cake. Great evening and the service was just as great! Slightly pricey but I will return!"

"went for my wife's bday. the service was so poor that we didn't stay to eat. Server Jon greeted us but never looked at us. we didn't order drinks, which changed his attitude for the worse. he left us for 25 min. then took our order as though we were in a chow line. "what side? what salad? what temp? again, not looking at us. we got up, told the hostess we were going. she said to please tell the mgr. we spoke to the general mgr. he offered to seat us somewhere else. we declined. he just gave us a business card, but offered no explanation or anything else. We left very unhappy felt very disrespected and will not be returning. We were treated like deadbeat hillbillies. we've since found out others have had trouble with the same waiter."

"The steaks were, as usual, superb cuts of meat and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, and the pace of the meal was exactly what we wanted. Service gets dinged a point because they stopped pouring the wine after our first glass, leaving us with empty glasses until well after the main course was served. It's a minor issue, but at Ruth's Chris we expect better."

"Outstanding food in all respects. However, service, while friendly, was poorly paced. It took too long for drinks (and one of the orders wasn't correct)and then the main courses came out before we had finished our appetizers. At these prices, everything should be close to perfect. Finally, some effort to enforce a reasonable dress code should be put in place. Torn tee shirts, cut off jeans and flip flops should not be acceptable."

"We had an exquisite meal. Everything from my request for a rose to be left on my table for our arrival, to the excellent service by Jessi. She was instrumental from our food choices and also providing recommendations about Princeton. I hesitated to go to RC because of an experience I had years back. However, we are definitely going to be back with our friends. I highly recommend this restaurant and certainly Jessi."

"We are regulars at Ruth Chris because we love their amazing filet and the service is great! We brought our daughters along this time and our server, Jon made sure they were well taken care of. He cut my older daughters filet and had the chef make my younger daughter home made mac and cheese that was delicious! The only thing that I was disappointed with, having not ordered apple juice at Ruth Chris before was that my daughters has 2 glasses of juice at $4 each!! That's really outrageous! We just got home from Disney and even they sell juice for less! I know that Ruth Chris is an expensive meal and we're always willing to spend but $16 on apple juice? They'll be having water next time!!"

"This was our second visit in two months--and the second visit in which they messed up my steak order. First visit: medium rare was medium well (my husband had ordered his medium and it came medium-well, but he ate it anyway). I sent it back and, after some delay--and very little apology--was given a second ribeye. On this most recent visit, I ordered the steak without butter, but it came with butter. Given how quickly the steak was returned to the table--and how dry was the surface--I strongly suspect it was just wiped down with a paper towel. Again, not a lot of apology. And neither time was anything comped. Not even the $4 upcharge for a "premium" dessert."

"Very good food albeit pricey and they don't always disclose the price of all of their specials-$79 for a t-bone and a very small and overcooked lobster tail! Restaurant was very crowded which didn't affect the friendliness or attentiveness of the service but surely affected the timing of the meal. There was a long wait for the appetizers, then the main meal came out before we were finished with them then a long wait for dessert, etc. I eat here frequently for business and these "nits" consistently prevent this very good restaurant from becoming a great one. And that is unfortunate because they do serve one of the best steaks around."

"Ruth Chris in Princeton was a wonderful find. The bar is excellent and the bartenders are friendly very attentive. The meal was wonderful. I was not certain what I wanted however our waitress provided wonderful suggestions. I was also especially pleased by the wine paired with the meal. Wonderful experience."

"This restaurant has changed my opinion about the chain as a whole. Decided to take my wife here for her birthday and was pleasantly surprised at the friendly staff, lively atmosphere and excellent food. Between the waiter and the food it's a toss up as to who was better. And if you like to enjoy a good bottle of wine with your meal they have a very nice selection in all price ranges. A must have appetizer is the barbecue shrimp and you will be surprised at the fact that it does not have traditional barbecue sauce on it. A+ to this place as it will become a new spot for me to visit when I'm craving steak and do not feel like going to Manhattan."

"Came for V-Day. Food is best you can come to expect in a suburb. Service was on the slower end. Our server was very hospitable but there were food runners/servers who were unprofessional making jokes to each other and laughing and complaining about diners to each other as they are walking by. Got a rose at the end of the night. That was thoughtful. Would come back for the food-best steaks in Princeton."

"Second time in a short period of time where I have negative things to say. This last visit was the weekend after Valentine's Day.
- Service was very slow: to take our order and to deliver it. Our waiter was nowhere to be found when needed.
- They raised the prices of drinks/food again - this time just for Valentine's Day weekend. How do I know? They left the previous menu (with prices) underneath the new menu. I noticed when the top page fell off to reveal the changes.
- My steak was overcooked and small. My wife's steak was fatty. The manager said that happens some times but made no attempt to correct it.

"What makes this Ruth's soooooo good besides the food is the fact that they allow a BYOB and just charge a small corking fee - sometimes they won't even charge you if you get the right waiter. For those wine enthusiasts who want to bring there own but also enjoy a nice steak this is a must go."
