"I mixed up our reservations and arrived at Fluke on Friday night instead of Saturday night. Management could not have been more accommodating - called restaurant where we were supposed to be and switched our reservations for us. Food was excellent and all of our servers were delightful, knowledgeable, and provided outstanding service throughout our meal - we had wanted to come back on Sunday night, but restaurant was closed so management gave us the names and phone numbers of 4 other restaurants in town they thought we would enjoy - all in all a most pleasant experience for our long weekend in Newport."

"We were not seated on the 3rd floor as requested, even though a 4-top was available, but we were able to find a suitable table on the 2nd floor. The staff was rushing everyone out as they appeared to have overbooked for restaurant week, but we managed to linger without too many annoying intrusions. Overall the food was very good. It is not one of the wharf's tourist traps or traditional seafood-only establishments. They had an inventive, extensive cocktail list, a delicious selection of small plates (the crispy oysters stood out) and an exceptional seafood linguine. The Key Lime tart was top notch, but I would advise against the sesame cannoli -- unless you don't mind whipped cream in place of traditional cannoli cream. Ick."

It is the only restaurant that I've ever visited that regularly pours tastes of their by-the-glass wines in order to ensure customer satisfaction. "We have been here twice. First time restaurant week, worth the $30 each, but not the full boat price. Now I. Know why I always put this place off in favor of others. Food, service,view,and ambience, fantastic. Just a little too pricy compared to great restaurants in Providence. But I guess it's Newport. Bartender makes a great Vesper though. James Bond would be happy. "Shaken not stirred" and try the house made pickled onion instead of an olive !"

"We had a nice table by the window on the second floor but were disappointed by the prices and the amount of food on the large plates. Most small plates were just ok in flavor. We did like the redfish special- interesting flavor combinations. Overall, I would not go back."

"My girlfriend and I went here for a nice quiet dinner and I Fluke Wine Bar and Kitchen far exceeded my expectations. We started off the evening with a reasonably priced bottle of wine and an order of Bacon wrapped dates. a phenomenal choice that I would highly recommend (you can't go wrong with bacon anything). For the entrees I got the pan seared scallops which were more than delicious and she got the vegetarian linguine. Overall the staff was very attentive and knowledgeable pertaining the menu and any questions that we had. I would highly, and I have, recommend Fluke Wine Bar and Kitchen to friends and family."

"We love the food here and we've been coming here to enjoy it for the last 2 years. No matter what you order, the food will always be perfectly cooked and amazing. The menu changes every day and with every season so you will never be bored and always surprised. When Neil was head chef, there was an extra wow factor by how the ingredients on the plate complemented each other and really impacted your taste buds. I know there is a new head chef now and I hope he brings a similar style to the restaurant. The foodwe had here recently was delicious. The service here is great and the bar drinks are very yummy. The location is small so we definitely recommend reservations."

"Went here for Valentines Day. Was only ok. Service wasn't that great. Our server took a long time to come take the drink order or even bring us water initially and then wasn't to attentive after ordering. Had a cocktail and the mussels for an appetizer, both of which were great, but my steak tips entree wasn't good. Meat was to rough and the whole plate was lukewarm at best. Same thing for my girlfriend. She had the redfish which was served room temp. Both entrees were overpriced for their quality. Wine list was good. Probably a better place for an app and a couple drinks. I'd skip the dinner."
