"Aura has a remarkable scenic view of Victoria's inner harbour, as well as a little of its outer harbour. The views are almost worth

Our young waiter could have been more attentive although am sure he was very busy. More importantly, my husband who had the combination ribs and steak, found the ribs overcooked to the point of stringy, the steak almost too tough to eat. A friend who had the ternderloin had no complaints, and my steelhead and accompaniment was good. However our dessert ice creams were starting to melt when we received them.
A bit more attention to cooking/melting times, perhaps to purchasing better quality beef could raise Aura's standard up considerably."

"Up from California to spend some quality time with me mum for mother's day weekend. We have not be to the laurel point inn for brunch in several years. Surprised it had changed hands and Aura has taken over and reestablished what was once the best brunch in Victoria. Me Mum and I had a fantastic brunch the food was fresh and excellently presented and prepared. Service staff was very helpful from Management on down. Will definitely plan to try it again when my wife and return in November."

"My husband and I took our moms here for lunch. Beautiful view, very friendly, knowledgable staff, timely service, food was great. The only downfall was the dessert list. It was lacking in the "classics". But thats okay, because we didn't need dessert anyway. I will definitely come back and will definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend!"

"We celebrated my husband's birthday with dinner at Aura. It was an incredibly delicious meal, wonderful cocktails and our server was top notch. If I make it back up to Victoria, this is a place we would visit again. I had some kind of scotch/orange cocktail that I cannot get out of my head, it was so delicious!"

"I have to admit, I knew nothing about this restaurant when I made a reservation. I had won a gift card and wanted to take my partner out for a meal. From walking through the door, the service was wonderful. Not just attentive, but friendly, lighthearted, knowledgeable, conversational. The food was very impressive. Nothing crazy, just delicious, well presented dishes. The restaurant is lovely and the view was so nice. I really look forward to the next time I'm lucky enough to sit down at a table at Aura."

"The Aura Waterfront has a spectacular Japanese garden that can be looked out onto during a brunch but seats are by special request and usually that has to be done by telephone. The seafood dishes are good but cold, and while the eggs benedict in the brunch are excellent, the other hot dishes —aside from the roast beef— are bland. But in Victoria, where good buffets are hard to come by, the Aura is considered one of the better ones and is priced accordingly. What does not show up on the Open Table app is the price of buffet and the fact that the restaurant is tagging its own 15% service charge on top of the $44 per person. This reality made the restaurant rather quiet for an Easter brunch."
