"The calamari appetizer, while not entirely all calamari (it is "supplemented" by vegetables and chilis that are also breaded and fried), is very flavorful, and the lemon aoli sauce is good. The cocktail sauce is literally spaghetti sauce.
The real disappointment with this establishment is the beef. First, they were out of the NY Strip on a Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. Apparently no delivery. The ribeye, however, at just shy of $40, was 1/2" thick and really a disappointment. Flavor was marginal (not prime!), and the cut was too thin. I would expect this quality and cut of steak to be served at a coffee shop for half the price.
Stick with the seafood entrees. Maybe that's why it was empty on a Saturday night..."

"After ordering an appetitizer and receiving it 15 minutes later, we still had not ordered our entree and had to ask the server if our waiter was "missing in action". After the server took our entree order, the waiter re-appeared and thanked the server but did not apologize for disappearing for in excess of 20 minutes. For the times the waiter appeared at our table, his dialogue to us sounded insincere, almost like a "car salesman". To make our experience worse, my daughter's dinner did not arrive until almost an hour later because it was served to another diner. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would have expected the manager to apologize directly but no such gesture."

"This was my daughter's birthday dinner with out-of-town family and we had approximately an hour & a half to enjoy dinner before leaving for a prior engagement. Our reservation was for 4:15, so when we arrived the place was nearly empty. Our food server took far too long to greet us, to take our food order, to check on us after the food arrived, to refill the kids' drinks and to bring us the check. She made an error on the check charging us separately for the kids' soft drinks (which are included in the price of the kids' meal). In fact, she would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. My wife finally had to leave while the rest of us were still eating/waiting. No time to consider dessert! Food was good, but too much stress with service!"

"My family and I had reservations for 7:15 , left about 8:50 pm and only saw our watiter 2- times.. Food arrived about 45 - minutes after we ordered, food cold and not to great. We should have just gone to Red Lobster,,maybe the $120.00 does not include the world class service that they state when introduced..

"The food was very good. The lobster bisque was comparable to that in Boston my husband said.
The shrimp kisses were amazing! I had cashew encrusted Talapia and it was delish! Yummy!

"The service was EXCELLENT!!!! We LOVED our server!! The salads, beet and arugula and chopped, were amazing and the bisque was to DIE FOR!!! The lobster was superb! Even the butter and bread was delicious!! Yes it is a very sweet creamy butter! Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! OH and the Crème Brule was YUMMY!!!! "Overall very good dinner, although a bit pricey, so we won't be going back on a regular basis. Dinner for five people with two people drinking water only, two had one beer each, and one person had one (least expensive) glass of wine, was $200. Our server Joe was great, and the restaurant gave us personalized menu's for my son's birthday, which was a nice touch. If it weren't for the price, we would go back."

"First I was disappointed to find out that the "brunch" was not a true brunch. There were select breakfast items to order from the menu. Not much variety.
We waited over 15 minutes from the reservation time to be seated. The wait for our meal was quite long.
The food was just ok....nothing spectacular.

"Our reservation was honored, the waitress was darling, the food delicious, presentation lovely, however.....we had to wait 45 minutes for the food to arrived. True, it was Easter, but they knew in advance how many people to expect as they were taking reservations. There was no excuse given for the lengthy delay nor were we compensated in any way for our inconvenience. We were planning on going to a movie afterwards, and missed the showing we had selected. We had to quickly scamper to another theater in hopes of finding the movie there and were fortunate to do so."

"Neither of our salads was what we thought it would be based on the menu, but we traded and both were pleased at the freshness and taste. The entrees were extremely good, and well served. It was a busy night, but the server found time to talk with us briefly and to check on everything. They have a grand appetizer list, but knowing what the salad and entrees would be like (generous portions) we didn't order one even though they were tempting. The restaurant is set up nicely for a sense of some privacy, with well-placed walls and booths and tables. All in all, a nice experience."

"I will never go back to your resturant again! The server was very polite but other than that it was horrible! They brought out our food but my steak was soo dry and over done. I sent it back and 45 mins later it came back red inside and bloody, and I had to send it back again! 30 mins later they brought the same steak out where they cooked it a little more and it was ok. I was never offered a salad or soup to eat while I waited well over an hour for my steak to come out!!! I hated the fact that my husband ate his food and I watched and then we had to sit there and then he had to watch me eat my food. We were at the resturant for over 2 1/2 hours!!!! I will NEVER go back again!!! and... NEVER recommend this place to anyone!"

"Before we went there for our anniversary dinner, we expected it would be expensive. But actually the entries we ordered - Mahi Mahi and Shrimp/Salmon Trio - were fantastic, well worth the money which is actually not too expensive considering the sitting and the food. Service was great too!"

"We were very disappointed right from the moment we arrived. We had a reservation and when we arrived we were promptly taken through an almost empty dining room and seated at a back table directly outside the kitchen door. It was very evident that we were being shown that you don't consider us the right type of people to sit in the main room. We tried to make the best of it but it was not an enjoyable experience at all. Three of us spent 250.00 on what should have been an excellent dining experience. It wasn't. It was also obvious that the wait staff would have rushed us through the meal in thirty minutes if we had allowed it. We won't be back"

"Food is good but our waitress was not. She was distracted and often missing. Our water glasses sat empty for long periods.

"The steak and lobster tail were both cooked very well. The lobster was not rubbery and the steak was very tender and cooked to order. What I was disappointed with was the flavor. The flavor was extremely salty, to the point that I could barely eat it. It was my wife's birthday dinner so I didn't want to make a fuss about it and just enjoy the evening. I was also frustrated that I spent over 100.00 on a meal that I didn't like. The calamari was probably the best I have had anywhere. For the money I can get a better steak elsewhere. The staff was very friendly and professional and knew the menu well. I did enjoy myself, just not the food. Also, if the dress code is supposed to be business casual, it should be enforced."

"This was our first time back since it was bought out by new owners. The food and service were both very good but couldn't help notice the hike in prices! On our past visits, the restaurant was always crowded with families and the bar filled with the y.ounger set enjoying cocktails. We were surprised to see the bar deserted and only a handful of tables occupied at 5:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon when the opposite has been true in the past. Can't help but believe the significant price increases have contributed to the present situation.
This has always been a wonderful restaurant with a lively atmosphere for both the bar scene as well as the restaurant. I was saddened to see it almost deserted. Hope management takes notice!"

"This was the first time visit. Special occasion. My husband's 80th birthday and it was a smart choice. The staff was very attentive. Great menu choices. There were 4 of us and we each had a different entree. The special M-T offer was great. We have been to Flemings and this is right up there. Will definitely return."
