5 Napkin Burger is an upscale restaurant devoted to the art of the hamburger. The signature is 10 oz of fresh ground chuck topped with rosemary aioli, caramelized onions and melted gruyere on a soft white roll. The full burger lineup includes the all-American Bacon Cheddar, Italian Turkey, Avocado Ranch, Mushroom Bleu, Veggie, Lamb, Tuna, Inside Out, even a Burger Salad. While the burgers may be the headliners, the diverse menu of expertly prepared American classics entice foodies to come back nightly. 5 Napkin is the rare burger restaurant where vegetarians and carnivores are equally at home. "I made a reservation for four on a Saturday night because I knew it would be busy. When we arrived it was packed as expected so i was worried we would have to wait despite having a reservation, but we were seated almost immediately. I had the lamb kofta burger which was delicious! Initially I asked for it cooked "well" but upon the server's suggestion I changed my order to "medium-well" so it wouldn't be tough- very good suggestion! Overall happy with my experience and would definitely come again. :)"

"Great everything except for the attitude of the hostess, who we asked if we could charge our phone and she actually siad we have no outlets over here. But if you want you could go to the bar and ask them. Then she proceeded to stand at her station and talk, so I got up and went to the other side of the restaurant to get the phone on a outlet charger. Wow what a bad dislpay of sutomer service. "We were a table of 6 that each order something different. Everyone loved what they ordered, me especially. I loved the Lobster Sliders so much that the next time I went there that was exactly what I ordered. The sweet potato fries that our great waiter suggested were fantastic as well. Everyone else had a variety of burgers and each one was done perfectly to their order and very tasty. The drinks from the bar were also fun, different and very enjoyable. Great experience."

"Really enjoyed - the portions were great and the foods was good too. I was a bit thrown off by the sushi options next to the burgers but my friend said it was good so that was pretty sweet. The place was packed, I would definitely recommend reservations because I've had to wait 30+ minutes to be seated without reservations, on the plus side - they have a bar and the drinks definitely hit the spot while you wait. I would definitely go back!"

"My husband and I were in NYC to see a show that started at 7 p.m. Due to traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel we didn't get to 5 Napkin Burger until 6 p.m. We had reservations for 5 p.m. and I called twice to say we were delayed. "Angela" said she would try to hold onto a table for us. All we wanted was their classic cheeseburger and a beer. Sure enough when we arrived we were seated immediately. "Sam" was our waiter and was as efficient and friendly as could be. We were fed and on our way with time to spare. Love this place. And obviously --- great burgers!"

"My favorite thing about this restaurant was the menu-burgers, salads, desserts and more. We were going to the theater and wanted a fun place that took a reservation and didn't break the bank. The place was packed, but our reservation was honored. On multiple recommendations, I had the 5 napkin burger and loved it. My husband ordered it, as well, but had to send it back because it was overcooked. They couldn't have been nicer about replacing it. The noise level is loud, so don't go there if you want quiet conversation. Me-I'm looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu!"

"Had a large group (10) in the area for the NY auto show and we needed a place for dinner. Since I live in the area I knew 5 Napkin would be a good choice and it did not disappoint. While we did have to wait for perhaps 45 mins, the bar was great and gave everyone in the group to have a drink and relax which was nice. Food choices included burgers (always good), sushi (they do a good job on sushi) and fish tacos (which again were very nice). Service was excellent w Meagan trating the group very well; attentive and quick with any requests, but never over-bearing. Did not have any negatives and will certainly go back. There are a number of good burger choices in the area, but this one is great for groups when u want a lively atmosphere."
